This worked surprisingly well, even on an old stain. I use it mostly for cat vomit but tried it on an old food/drink spill on a dining room chair that was probably a year old (photos) and it got it completely gone.I did have an issue trying to do small, narrow, sides or edges of things like the sides of these chairs and a narrow leg on another chair. The solution dispenses from one spot on the underside of the tool head (pointing to it in photo). So when doing the side edge of the chair you’d think holding the tool in the right position would be the way to go…but it isn’t because then you have to move the tool head left/right to dispense the solution. I had to turn and use the tool sideways to get the solution along the little edge. This worked better, but the solution shoots out too far and got all over the floor. Luckily I have tile so it was no big deal but if you have carpet you’ve been warned.Suction is good and most of the water it puts out it sucks up. Didn’t take too long for things to dry.Easy to carry around. Love that the tube and cord wrap around the device so storage is easy.Tube cleaning option is interesting. It did work. Not sure I’ve ever cleaned or thought about cleaning a cleaning tube hose.Overall, happy.

The first time I started using it, I accidentally knocked it over. I was using it to clean my sofa. Whoever designed this did so poorly, because if it gets knocked over it’ll dump the dirty water reservoir everywhere. In my case, all over my rug. I was able to suction most of it up, but it’s a flaw in the design. The latch doesn’t keep the reservoir secured to the unit.It also doesn’t have an actual latch or lock for opening/closing the dirty water reservoir. Instead they have a rubber seal and the top just slides off.These two problems combined actually make the dirty water reservoir a really terrible design. Basically it doesn’t secure the reservoir to the machine and it basically has a lid without a lock, so if you knock it over it comes off the unit and the “lid” opens up and the entire dirty water reservoir will pour all over the place.I wish the hose was longer, you can’t put the unit on the ground and use the handle at waist height. I’m 5’5 for reference.And the trigger for the sprayer is right where you naturally rest your hand while using the nozzle. This means that when you’re trying to use the suction portion of the head, you’re very likely to accidentally hit the spray button. I also feel like the sprayer is kinda messy. It has a wide spray (for better or worse) and it can drizzle all over your floor when using it.The reservoir is kinda small. And I’ve found the suction works, but you have to go slow and have the entire head of the wand in contact with what you’re cleaning. I had to use more muscle than I would have liked — it could definitely have more suction, but it’s not close to the worst I’ve seen.I noticed that pushing the head away from you, rather than pulling it towards you, gives better suction. At least it did on my sofa. I do wish the suction slit was bigger, but it gets the job done.Other than the design flaws, I’d consider it a decent cleaner. It took five hours to do my two couches.

I purchased this because the only carpets in my home are the primary bedroom and the stairs to the lower level; not enough to justify the purchase or rental of a big cleaner.The primary bedroom carpet is off-white and we are a no-shoes household. That said, the area from the hall to the primary bathroom (about 3’x4’) was showing a definite trail. Canned foam cleaner was not satisfactory.This Hoover did a fine job on the first try. It was hard to see how much solution I was applying because of the light carpet color, the lighting in the room and my old eyes. The results were spotty because I think I was stingy with the application.I was surprised at how filthy the return water was. The carpet is 5 years old, cleaned twice with spray foam that gets vacuumed, and shoes have NEVER touched it.It does need a second round only because I was inexperienced with the operation.Next time I will spray the solution liberally, turn off the machine (to scrub without extracting) then turn the machine on to extract.I would say I was 80% happy with the first time results but I expect to be 99% satisfied with the next application.That said, this machine is not meant to do an entire room. It’s a hands and knees job. My 70 year-old cortisone injected knees protested vehemently afterward. The area I cleaned is about the maximum I would ever do again, but this review is about the Hoover, not my knees.I would purchase again.

First, NiceShine’s price was amazing. I often refrain from buying such a product for fear of getting a “used-returned” product (which has happened to me more than once). Second, I was between the Bissell compact machines but after watching a YT video on this product, where people previously complained about suction, I decided to buy this Hoover. As I thought, the reviews about poor suction “may” have been faulty machines but more likely getting the angle of the hose correctly. When done right, it offers a mighty suction! Today, I shampooed my Oriental runner in my kitchen and it looks new again. I then decided to use it in my car. I bought my Lexus used, so it wasn’t actually detailed. I’m the second owner. When I got a quote from the Lexus dealership to detail my car on the inside, (they have a total price or outside/inside pricing) that’s when I said let me try to do it myself. Disclaimer goes here: I’m not belittling detailing by Lexus b/c I’m sure they use quality products AND the former owner had the car detailed at the dealership (constantly). I did find a baby barrette and she clearly liked peanuts. But I digress. The Hoover CleanSlate Plus comes with a generous starter cleaning solution of 6 FL OZ. I also purchased a larger bottle separately, 32 FL OZ by the Hoover people (NiceShine).Things to think about and remember: Not all fabrics like furniture upholstery or drapes can be cleaned by this type of machine. Look at each and every tag….even a pillow. When in doubt, don’t use this machine. My sofa is a chippendale w/ silk so automatically I would not dream of ruining the fabric. I do believe this can be used in those tight areas on floors to squirt some cleaner and suck up the dirt.Lastly, I’m a firm believer of ForceField Fabric Cleaner and you will see a review by me if you look it up here on NiceShine. I spilled red wine at a cocktail party and this wine ruined the Damask fabric chair that I was sitting on (who puts fabric on dining chairs?). I immediately called a professional cleaning service and they tried the regular kind of cleaning (very Hoover-like) and the fabric tore apart. The company told me about ForceField Fabric Cleaner and Fabric Protector. When I purchased my kitchen Oriental runner, the owner of the shop also told me to apply ForceField Fabric Protector immediately. My point is you might want to consider what cleaner you use for your particular fabric and stain.This Hoover CleanSlate has exceeded my expectations. If you have expensive carpets, send them out to be cleaned. Otherwise this machine is perfect for my needs. I gave it full stars b/c I am not comparing it to anything.Wade

I have a large fabric U shaped couch and an area rug in my tv room. We have four dogs, three kids with two spouses, and a Grandson. The tv room takes a beating. I tried to schedule a carpet/couch cleaner to come and freshen up the area for the holidays- but couldn’t fit them into my schedule and really didn’t want to pay $600. The rest of our home is tile & hardwood floors so I couldn’t take advantage of the multi room offers. I ordered this for less than $100 figuring to give it a try. I cleaned my couch first. Did half, left the cushions standing overnight and couldn’t believe how great they looked the next morning. Like new. And the solution that came with the machine left a nice fresh scent. So much nicer than the dog smell! lol! I didn’t add the solution to the cleaning machine – I put it in a separate spray bottle. The machine does spray a lot of water, so I put hot water in it to use to dampen the fabric then spritzed some solution, let it sit a minute then sucked up as much liquid as possible- four or five passes, then sprayed again with the hot water and vacuumed the dickens out of it until it was hardly damp to the touch. It took me two evenings to do the whole couch. The rug was a bit harder for my old lady back – but using the same technique it came out beautifully clean and much fresher smelling! My Husband was not for me tackling this project, but is very happy with the outcome (and the $500 savings)! If you are willing to put in the sweat equity- I highly recommend this machine.

I always wanted one of these carpet cleaner now that I have a puppy who I trained late. Lol I purchase this carpet cleaner during black Friday. I just open the box yesterday to put it to work. It’s very lightweight and compact, the instructions is very understanding to read. The only downfall I have for this is, the solution part you have to keep refilling with water and the solution. I have a big carpet to clean and I had to refill it 3 times another refill was needed. I just deceided to give up on that part and took it outside to dry. The tank that holds the dirty residue it only fills half way which is another part that sucks cuz you have to keep stopping to either throw away the dirty water or refill the solution tank. The suction part is the best part. The brush should of been a hard scrubber for carpet especially for a flat hard carpet like mines. Not sure if this is the best out there but it works ok for me and did the cleaning

Due to the limited capacity and compact size, this is ideal for spot cleaning only. With extra time effort you could do a slightly dirty large area rug or sofa, but not a fully carpeted room of filthy carpet. I used this to freshen up a few low pile small area rugs and two upholstered accent chairs that didn’t seem all that dirty. However this cleaner proved me wrong. I was surprised at the filthy water it extracted. The machine performed flawlessly without leaks or quality issues. It was easy to thoroughly clean the machine and components after use and stores compact. Convenient to have on hand for quick emergency use. Buy this before you need it so the stains don’t set. The set includes a small bottle of cleaner but you’ll definitely want to order a large bottle with your initial machine purchase. There are other very similar cleaners that cost much more, but I find it unlikely that they could be any better than this for occasional household use.

Small compact, good suction..Used it to detail my car. Wanted to clean my bucket seats and headliner.When you go to spray your seat, starting with the headrest and working down the sprayer sprays beyond what you’re trying to work on, and it’s a combination of spray and dribble!!! Very messy for car detailing. It would work fine on a flat rug. The hose is so short, I didn’t take a tape measure to it but it’s not more than 3 foot and it doesn’t reach the headliner of my SUV when the device is in the SUV sitting on the floor I had to go get a box to sit the unit up on it in order to clean the headliner come on people, surely you add a connector hose so that the unit reaches around in a van or an SUV etc. The hose washout device worked perfectly and overall I’m satisfied.I must say I believe this is the first time I got a reconditioned appliance from NiceShine when I paid full price.The items were jumbled in the box. The bottle of solution that was in the box, was not the one shown on the box, and the paperwork in my box already had brown stains from chemicals or something on the paper that shows you how to set the device up and the tape on my box was my first clue that somebody had been in this box already, and was covering it over and multiple punctures on the box, it seemed it has traveled around in shipping quite a journey .

Bought this in Dec, finally used it in March. I have four cats, one dog, three grandkids…if something can be dropped on our carpets, it has been dropped on our carpets. Here’s my thoughts:The Good – compact, strong cleaning ability, great suction, retrieves almost all the water it dispenses (most cleaners don’t), very easy to clean after use (most cleaners aren’t!), love the hose cleaner attachment (to rinse the “gunk” out of the hose after use),, lightweight for ease of movement, well designed – again, it does what it promises. I would have rated it 5 stars if not for what follows:The Less than good – the button you press to activate the spray nozzle doesn’t always shut off when released. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn’t. Discovered this by accident when I accidentally sprayed myself in the face. I released the button, turned the nozzle to inspect/clean the brush bristles and got a face full of cleaning liquid. This isn’t a consistent problem, it’s intermittent. I had to bang the attachment several times to get it to shut off. Irritating to say the least. My guess is it’s an individual unit defect, but I’m out of the return timeframe.

I am very pleased that I bought this carpet cleaner. Its suction is very effective in getting rid of spot stains. The only reason why I am not giving it 5 stars is because this product is more suited to removing spot stains than cleaning a whole room. Cleaning a whole room with this product is very time consuming, because you have to spray cleaning solution, brush carpet, then suction up all the water/cleaning solution. Doing this process for a whole room is very time consuming and laborious.However, if you need to just spot clean, this product is extremely effective. I am most impressed by the strong suction function.Requires a lot of refilling of cleaning solution if you are planning to clean a whole room. But, cleaning the vacuum itself is very easy. All the parts detach and you just run them under water to clean.Love this little vacuum.

I was looking into getting a carpet cleaner as we got a puppy that had had some accidents on our area rugs downstairs and in one of our carpeted bedrooms upstairs. I didn’t really want to deal with a large stand up carpet cleaner with how clunky they are and storage space being tight.We only have 1 carpeted room and 2 area rugs, and we’re hoping we don’t have to clean them all the time as the puppy has been getting much better with potty training. With that said, a lot of those handheld pet spot carpet cleaners are a bit small if we wanted to tackle larger areas or do an occasional clean of the entire bedroom (maybe once a year).I stumbled upon this unit on sale and the reviews looked great. It has a smaller compact size vs the stand up units, but still has a nice wide suction head for cleaning a decent area. You can also swap out for a smaller head if you wanted to clean tight crevices or in the car.Given the size, it packs a punch, having strong suction and a spray nozzle controlled by a trigger on the handle. It also has a relatively large capacity clean water/solution tank and dirty water tank.I was able to clean a large 8×10 area rug with just one tank, which was better than expected. And I was able to clean our entire master bedroom and hallway area relatively quickly as well due to the wider head in only 2-3 tank fills.Dumping the dirty water reservoir and cleaning it out was also very easy, and it has a storage clips for the hose and various attachment accessories to tuck away nicely in a closet.Cleaning performance was great, it was able to get out the pet urnie stain areas and left the carpet smelling nice with the solution it came with. It extracted most of the water / solution from the carpet, but was still slightly damp to the touch (we have a relatively high like carpet). I think that’s fairly normal, a stand up unit with a larger motor maybe could have left it a bit drier, but after getting some sunlight on the carpet upstairs from the windows during the day the carpet was dry to touch come night time when we went to bed later that night.Overall, it’s a nice versatile machine that offers great cleaning performance and efficiency in a relatively small and compact footprint. It provides the best of both worlds with a near stand up unit size cleaning area and suction, but with a footprint near the size of a handheld unit. While we don’t have carpeted stairs, this unit would be perfect for that as well given the smaller size and lightweight construction, even with a full solution cleaning tank, due to the nice centrally located handle making it fairly portable.

Initially I was going to give this 4 stars but for the price and what it’s intended for I have to give 5. It’s perfect for small stains. I purchased to clean my king size mattress. Results will depend on what cleaner you use and how concentrated the solution is. I cut the solution with mostly water for my mattress and should have just used it straight but lessons learned. Even with diluted solution my mattress is definitely brighter and smells great. Still some stains but they are a few years old. I’ve used it to clean my entire couch too – no major stains but to refresh it and works great. This product is best when used immediately after a spill/more recent stains and is super handy. I love how compact it is and easy to clean out and put away. I have a small duffel bag it fits in perfectly with all its parts and solution for neat storage/traveling. We own a rental property and like to bring it between guests incase we need a quick spot clean on carpets/mattresses/couch. One of the attachments broke first time I used it due to user error when trying to take apart but totally my fault. Other attachments work great! Suction is awesome. There was some leakage from the spout after my 2nd use but if you clean the device regularly and fidget with the mechanism that causes the solution to come out you can self correct it. The second time using the solution kept coming out even when i wasn’t squeezing the “trigger” but I was able to pull it back into place and haven’t had that issue since. It’s not a deep steam cleaner so if that’s what you’re looking for spend more $$ on a more powerful item, but for the price and what it’s intended for (spills/pet accidents) would say this is a quality product and look no further

If you have pets, this powerful cleaning machine is going to save your furniture and sanity! For years we have tried different cleaning remedies for upholstery including baking soda, alcohol and even buying couch covers, so we decided to splurge on this. So glad we did!!!! We were deciding between this and the lil green machine, but this had bigger attachments for bigger to clean areas. The suction is incredibly strong and you can get a lot of use out of just one fill. As you can see, our dogs will not stay off the couches when we are at work. Both have long hair which easily gets very dirty and one dog slobbers constantly 😖 Enough was enough or else we would have to buy a new couch. Thankfully, this hoover plus cleaning machine thouroughly deep cleaned, pulling out ALL the dirt and removed the odors and stains. It is super easy to use too! We could not believe how muddy the water was afterwords and to think we’d been laying on that😬 It only took one treatment on ours, but you could go over multiple times if needed, and it doesn’ttake much time. I highly recommend buying this if you want to keep your furniture looking good as new. Spraying febreeze and hand cleaning alone only mask whats lying deep within the fabric. Trust me, it’s well worth the money and you can get it for $60 off on Prime day 😉

Works great, definitely more powerful than the bissel green I got and returned. While my stairs still look the same amount of dirty, I feel better knowing how black that water came out. In all the 13 years living in the house, we never deep cleaned the stairs, so I didnt expect the carpet to look new or anything (but i admit, she’s definitely more fluffy). The water was filled with pet hair and sand from our beach trips throughout the years. 1 star taken off because the attachment kept popping off while I scrubbed. Whatever, money well spent anyways- especially for a prime day deal!

Why did I wait to buy? Why did I wait to use? I’ve been looking at one of these little wet/cleaning vaca for a couple of years. Seemed useful, but I had my trusty rags and cleaners. So, why bother? Finally decided after my 18 yr old cat started throwing up, on a regular basis( poor little thing) . O.M.G. What a difference. Just fill up the little tank w/appropriate mixture. Suck. Spray. Suck. Scrub. Repeat. It was so easy. And the spot was removed more effectively and completely. I even went back over areas in my basement that had faint staining. Keep in mind I had used top-level rug cleaners. In some cases several times. Old stains. Lifted like magic. I even decided to try to remove a stain on an old upholstered chair. Literally a basement chair. Cream colored fabric. Just to see what would happen. At first, I thought the stain had been made worse. Oh well. Just a chair in a storage area. Dried overnight. Stain virtually gone. What! I am so obsessed. Wish I had wall to wall carpet. This little wonder would have been a a godsend when I was house training my pup. Placing the vacuum over the accident, one can remove more of the urine before starting to apply solution and “actual” cleaning. Making for a more complete cleanup. I can’t say it enough. I got this thing as I am living in an apartment, and have a cat. Since cats throw up sometimes, it can be a pain to clean especially if they’ve done it in the middle of the night and it’s been given time to set in.I got to use this carpet cleaner on some set in stains, including cat vomit stains and some old soda stains in the carpet, and it cleaned it right up. I wasn’t expecting much for set in stains, but truly the carpet looks as good as it did when I moved in!I use warm water and some laundry soap in mine, not the carpet cleaner provided as I am specific about smells. Even without the cleaning solution, it got everything up no problem. I think the key to getting the stains up is soaking it and then pressing down hard with the head attachment and letting it suck everything up, not so much the cleaning solution itself. So just know that you could probably use whatever you like, dish soap, laundry soap, color safe oxi clean, etc.! 🙂

I saw this cleaner on a video by “ChrisFix” on YouTube. He was right about this extractor vac. I bought it with the intentions of cleaning the interior of my vehicle, but just had to christen it when my dog threw up on our living room rug. Yipee… Well, the results were definitely better than I was expecting. I don’t know why I wasn’t expecting spectacular, but that’s exactly what I got. My wife is ocd and she’ll usually find something to complain about, but she said “I’m good with that”. I’m glad, because I was done playing with my toy and I put it away 😂 I’ll be detailing the vehicles soon and I’m confident it’ll perform flawlessly. The rubbery finger attachment is the only one I used, and It did a great job on the rug. I was also overly excited about the hose self cleaning tool. I literally started wondering how I was going to clean the inside of the hose when I saw the hose self cleaning tool, conveniently nestled on the top of the main unit. Loved that feature! The solution tank and waste tank were easy to use and easy to clean. I’m very happy with my purchase.

I normally don’t write reviews but after taking this for the first time I am extremely impressed. I have a white sectional I spent way too much money on and after reducing a large dog my sectional started looking light beige… gross. I have a little green machine and have tiredly cleaned and cleaned and cleaned the entire thing with my little green machine. It would cause streaks and the suction wasn’t great. The nozzle for suction was also so small. I was at my wits end and just wanted to buy a new sectional but decided to give it one more go. The first pass through in one cushion sucked up so much yellow dirt and it was only a week ago I cleaned it with the little green. I was shocked – the large nozzle makes it go so much faster and the suction is POWERFUL. I also used the smaller scrubber for the welted areas (places I couldn’t get to before) and WHOA my sectional looks almost new. I used the cleaner that came in the box for one full clean and then used hot water and a splash of a scented detergent (diva, iykyk) and I am so happy. I would highly highly recommend this over all of the other ones I’ve used in the past.

Our dog is getting old and having BM accidents in the house. I thought this would be good to have so I don’t have to haul the big carpet cleaner out and it has been so helpful! Now when she takes a dump in the house, I simply scoop up the mess, then spray some bottled carpet cleaner on the spot. I put hot hot water in the tank, spray a little water over the area and scrub with the brush attachment then suck the whole thing up. Easy button. Like it never happened. I also used it to clean our stairs, again so much easier than wrestling with the big heavy cleaner. This little wizard only weighs a few pounds so I can move it up the steps with me and not get into a big altercation with a hose. It has great suction. The carpets are barely damp after I suck up all the solution. Our large economy size dog has done a number on our carpets, but this is helping extend the life of them, and I don’t have to worry about the ick.

I made the mistake of buying a white rug and having a black dog, lol. Decided to invest in a little carpet cleaner, and after comparing several options I decided on the Hoover CleanSlate. I’m waiting to clean the whole thing until I have furniture brought in, but I’m impatient and decided to test it out on a little corner.Right off the bat, I am so impressed! I feel like the pictures speak for themselves, but it did a great job of removing the dirt. I did have to go over a couple spots multiple times, but for the most part, everything came right up.Despite having to soak a couple spots, the vacuum took care of it no problem. It didn’t leave my carpet soaking wet and dried pretty quickly.It will probably take quite a bit of solution to clean the whole rug, but for spot-use (like it’s intended) it’s incredibly efficient.I’m excited for versatility and can’t wait to use it on my car and eventual couch as well.

Since we only have 2 area rugs, this seemed like a good idea. I didn’t realize how much work using the hand held tools would be down on hands and knees. It works well but for large areas, it is very tiring to suck up the water with the tool on a large rug. I have bad knees so have to just bend over to use it. I should have gotten an upright! That said, it is effective. We used on our indoor outdoor room size rug on our lanai where the dogs track in dirt and tiny cinder. The water was so dirty when we were done, it obviously was picking up a lot of dirt. We used the professional concentrate (Hoover) and the whole area smelled fresh and clean, not doggy, when done. This will be great for the car.

I had my reservations about it. I’ve seen reviews that were not so encouraging when it came to older stains. Let me tell you, my kids mattresses harbored old stain, cushions on some chairs had some tough stains as well but this little machine got them out. I probably could’ve poured more cleaning solution (smells fresh) and used warmer water. It did not come with a manual but YouTube worked fine for me. It was pretty straightforward and easy to figure out. I got a lot cleaned with the amount of water that is held. I am very happy with this product. The little trigger that sprays the water got stuck a couple of times but other than that it is perfect.

My 17 year cat decided to to on a puking spree, and of course it has to be on the carpet. I had a Bissell Little Green Machine but that puppy leaked more than my cat pees. I saw a video review that compared the Bissel to the Hoover and decided to try the Hoover. I’m on day 1 and so far I’m impressed. The suction leaves the area almost dry (much drier) than the Bissell ever did), and the dirty water I poured out was beyond gross. I liked the hose rinse tool. My only complaint is that I can’t store all of the tools on the unit. Also, the instructions were lacking clarity (ok, that’s 2 complaints…but not enough to delete a star).

I have two older dogs and almost daily accidents to clean up after them. I have had competitor’s machines and none have lasted. My large machine that has stood the test of time is my Hoover. I decided to treat myself this holiday season to the smaller machine to handle the stairs that my one dog now can’t make it down without spotting and this machine has been amazing! Even my older Hoover with the stair attachment can’t compare and the compact size and long cord makes it a must have . I’ve tried less expensive competitor machines and wasted the money – giving the machines away because they were not worth the cost of the cleaner fluid. Now I have cleaner stairs and no hassle lugging the big machine out plus I can do small spots on the carpet so easily. Thank you Hoover for making the worst part of my daily routine so much easier!

This little thing surpassed all my expectations. I am so happy I found this. It’s powerful and a perfect small size. Has some awesome little attachments that I didn’t know I needed, and to top it off, emptying the bucket is a breeze without making a mess. Oh and the brush head is so easy to rinse, nothing gets stuck in there. I am so surprised by Hoover for this. I have tried all the other name brands and I never liked the shape of the brush heads because they took too much strength to operate, always hurting my arm. This one is perfect! The shape of professional carpet cleaning brushes, which is what I’ve been on the search on for years. I don’t understand that they all don’t make the triangle shaped attachments. But it doesn’t matter anymore, because I found this little guy. I don’t write too many reviews, but when I do, it’s because expectations have been surpassed.

Unfortunately, I didn’t use it immediately and upon first use I found that the seal around the top that would keep the water from spilling out, is defective and bent is the best way to describe it, but it’s permanently stuck like that. Warranty is only 90 days past purchase so… That sucks because it’s great otherwise. Really wish they had a longer warranty especially for things like this obvious defects, not positive be customer caused. These things are very commonly purchased with someone. Finally has the money or went on sale and they’re not regular use items. Took me several months to have a spill bad enough to need to use this.Otherwise it’s wonderful! I loved the vacuum. It is easy to use, even my young daughter can use it. It’s pretty self explanatory. It’s smaller than I thought, which is a plus. It holds quite a bit of cleaning solution and water which is convenient if you are cleaning multiple items.The sole issue I had with it. Considering that I was not cleaning items that were deeply soiled are the attachments. On my first use, the plastic attachments broke and would not stay on the hose. For that reason alone I had to return it. If it wasn’t for that, I would have kept it.I cannot comment on its ability to clean deeply soiled items because I do a deep clean weekly so there wasn’t items with harsh stains I was doing. It works well for the purpose I used it for. The solution that came with the product has a smell of “fresh linen” but the chemical smell overpowers it.Other than that, I would say it’s decent.

This button on the hose handle that acts like a trigger – when pushed to release the flow of the cleaning solution started to get stuck after a few uses. You have to manually struggle to push it back to turn off the flow, so you cannot control the flow precisely and everything gets overly wet while you try to turn off the flow. Sometimes it continues to drip. I will try to take the assembly apart and check the spring and the insides to see if I can restore the usability, but for now it is frustrating that the sprayer has a mind of its own.Another thing I don’t like – when the dirty water tank becomes overfilled, somehow the water escapes through a vent and will leak out the bottom of the machine, especially if it is tilted.Otherwise it is a nice machine for small tasks – clean up a spill on carpet or upholstery.

Our dog has had some bladder issues and no matter what we do, we’ve ended up with her having accidents at night. We’re in a small, upstairs apartment and I hate having gross carpets but also hate renting carpet cleaners constantly. After reading a ton of reviews, I chose this over the competitors “green machine.” I have no idea how the other one performs but this one is AMAZING. It’s so easy to use, it works well, the suction power is incredible. It’s VERY easy to clean out and doesn’t take up much room to store. I wish it came with some sort of case for the attachments, but that’s my only suggestion. I paired it with a natural enzyme cleaner and the before and after are incredible. Hoping this lasts a long time because it will be put to good use.

This little machine did well. I used it on our stairs because my son spills water when he goes upstairs and he recently spilled hot chocolate on the stairs. Anyways I used to own a bissell spot cleaner and kinda sucked and wasn’t way to clean. This was easy to put together, easy to use and easy to clean when I was done. I definitely recommend this, my only regret was that I didn’t get the cordless just because not having to worry about plugging something in would have been better but I didn’t want to spend the extra money just for cordless when this does the same job.

I purchased this to clean a mess where my 2 yr old dog was sick on the carpet. She had drank a lot of water so when she threw it up it really soaked in. I tried several other things to clean and after 2 days of living with the really smelly stain I found this cleaning machine. The pet version of the cleaner is pleasant smelling without being overpowering. The suction is good and I was able to extract a lot of the smelly liquid that had soaked into the carpet.The cleaner is easy to use. Hoover really thought of the clean up process too. There is a little tool to clean the hose and the scrubbing tools come apart to be thoroughly cleaned. I am a fan after my first use!

Updating review because I’ve finally had the chance to use it twice now. All this time I thought my little green Bissell was cleaning my floors and furniture, but after hitting it with this Hoover and SEEING the water 🤮 it’s safe to say that Bissell is NOT the product you want to be using, but in fact HOOVER 💪 I recently inherited some furniture from my aunt who passed just the week before Christmas, and my damn cats peed on the couch and I’ve been religiously shampooing it with the Bissell with no change in smell. I bought this Hoover, and used it with some OdoBan Biostain as well as the Hoover solution that it comes with and LET ME TELL YA IT SMELLS AMAZING AFTER JUST ONE PASS! The furniture itself looks and smells so clean after hitting it just once – IM IMPRESSED 😁 When searching for a new shampooer I was between Hoover or Shark, and I am absolutely not disappointed that I ended up with the Hoover. 😇

The bad: the hose is way too short to be able to use the machine efficiently and without worrying about it toppling over. the spray trigger likes to get stuck in the ON position and needs to be manually pulled out to stop the water spray, making it messy. I smelled the motor about three quarters through my first armchair.The good the suction is good long cord hose cleaning attachment is really great to have large suction head allows you to cover larger area, which is nice.Honestly it’s a good machine, it does a good job. But the short hose makes it so unpleasant to use that I cannot recommend it. Will be returning.Edit: after testing out a Kenmore machine I added a star and have so much more appreciation for this one. The suction is so much better. After alot of research I end up purchasing this cleaning machine. I needed something to take care of my old dogs pee spots and small stuff after my kids. Also i use it to clean our vehicle seats and carpets together with chairs. I fill and clean/rinse the machine after each use. I strongly recommend to only fill tank with hot water and use spray bottle for the cleaning agent or chemical your choice. Spray the affected area with cleaner of your choice, wait for product to work, use small brush to clean the area then suck out the loose cleaning agent and dirt. Fabulous! I had carpet stains for a couple of years from training my new dog, and no matter how many times I tried to clean them, I only seemed to spread them out further. I thought I would have to live with them forever or, until I replaced the carpeting. With this little machine, I was able to remove every stain. Simply spray the cleaning solution on the stained area, wait a few minutes, scrub, and suction up the solution and stain. It’s a wonderful sight watching the dirt come up the suction hose!

Was about to use yesterday to clean my truck seats and noticed a spring & filter loose in the solution tank.(pictures attached) called hoover today, cap has 90 day warranty so they suggested i buy part from Walmart or NiceShine as it was not available from them. Gave me part# 440014958…. $30. A cap costing 1/3 of overall price of unit is un real to me. If this cap somehow goes back together and I am a idiot for not getting it then …5 stars, if not, this original cap is a terrible design. I can’t speak on the aftermarket cap (yet)

this was a decent unit for a year or so of minimal use. then the spray button started sticking, ok big deal i just manually pulled it out to stop the stream of water. annoying but it was whatever, now a couple months later the sprayer doesn’t work at all. other aspects of the machine worked fine and it was a great little unit for the car and small pet messes. maybe just a fluke for my machine but beware.

The only thing you need to know is that this vacuum is not suitable for larger jobs, only for small areas, a 3×3 ft square max and that’s being generous. I’m only saying this because this vacuum is not automatic, you are manually scrubbing away at whatever you’re cleaning. Think about that before you decide to purchase this. I’d say this is good for small upholstery stains, again not a whole couch. You will hate yourself and be tired if that’s what you want this vacuum for, even worse if you want this for a whole carpet. I mean look at the size of the scrubber it’s tiny, making any job more of a chore than it has to be.I recommend just getting an automatic wet dry vacuum and pre-treating the stains yourself, much easier and a lot less physical

It’s good for some light stains in a small area. If the stains are old it’s not as good. Make sure you use a good cleaning solution to assist with the cleaning. I used this on my motorhome carpet with some good and not so good results. It’s definitely ideal for a car or truck interior..

I used this on my foam mattress that has stains on it from baby milk spills, urine from diapers, sweat etc. I used it with the concentrated option mixed with water and it cleaned up pretty good. I would probably get better results if I use the liquid fully concentrated but I wanted to test it diluted first incase it messed up the texture of the mattress. The machine itself is pretty lightweight and the tank size is a decent size for everyday use cleaning. My only request would be for the hose to be a tad bit longer.

This thing is amazing. My toddlers spills everything in his mattress. Used the trial kit liquid included and left my mattress like new. And it was heavily stained with apple juice, milk, etc etc. I also used it on my king size mattress for spot cleaning. It took two tanks. I don’t mind dumping and refilling. But if you’re not keen of taking this off every 5 minutes to refill and dump, then get the XL. I was looking for a spot cleaner for my couches, mattress, and car seats. This meets my requirements. 5/5!PS. The wider brush is a game changer. My sister owns the bissell little green and I used it before for same tasks. Saw this recommended by and influencer and decided to give it a try, mainly to clean the seats in the cars. WOW – this is a game changer. It’s light, everything wraps up neatly around it which makes it compact and easy to put away. It works really well, and I’d like to think it adds a brown color to my dirty water…but nope that’s just how dirty my carpet was!Because of the well thought out design that incorporates being able to store the cord and the hose, it’s so quick to get it out and fill up the tank and clean up messes. This is perfect for cleaning cloth seats in cars! The seats in my new (pre-owned) car were so dirty and this worked so well to clean them. I scrubbed the seats with soapy water then used this to vacuum up the soapy (and super dirty!) water, spray clean water, vacuum, and repeat until the water it vacuumed up was clear. The seats dried quickly and looked great! The hose cleaning attachment is a great touch to rinse the hose. Very happy with this purchase!

I personally think the brush is too tough on furniture material, depending on what type of material it your furniture is made of.It includes a small bottle of liquid to get you started. I have their full sized carpet cleaner and I bought this one to use on the stairs because the big one is so difficult to switch over. I have cats who barf up food and hairballs.This smaller one is fairly easy to set up and use but it does not have the power the big one does and thus it is not as effective. It still works okay but just okay. I think as far as the universe of spot cleaners goes, this one is better than most.

Ordered this item because my dog had an accident in my vehicle. It did the job! God rid of the stain area and the smell after 3 uses with drying in between each use. In fairness, it took 2 days for item to arrive so it had already set in a bit but if I’d had the item on hand it would probably have worked in one application. The noise level is no more than any other product of this caliber and it holds enough water to clean at least a full size couch. Heat level seems to be efficient for cleaning but you will need to calibrate the distance of the sprayer from the area you’re cleaning. Mine needs to be kinda hovered and distributed, no direct contact or it over saturates.

Since I have animals, thought this would be easier to use than my full-size carpet cleaner. In hindsight, should never have bought it. Followed the instructions exactly to include pre-treating and it still barely removed a carpet stain. Outside of being easier to move around, especially from upstairs to downstairs, all other features failed in cleaning my animals’ messes. My full-size carpet cleaner is made by the same company, and it does great, just hard for this old fat man to get it up and down the stairs. So I may explore the competitor’s version that you just sit on the stain, and it does everything, but this one was flop for my purposes.

Bottom Line – Yes it is 5 star worthy. There is a lot to unpack. This portable clean slate is very easy to use. Small instructions Manuel and I was up and running in 20 minutes. I cleaned my carpet staircase and I was very pleased with the results, I’m going to try this on my automobile. Sprayer has great flow control and can spray target spots or fan out mode with the bigger attachment. The edger head gets all the crevice corners and I am considering that I was impressed, no other carpet cleaners or steamers have an attachment like this. The unit is very lightweight and can sit on a step while I travel up and down and move around. Sturdy and stay put in place so you can get into serious cleaning mode. The tank has 2 accommodations, large and small and if you are cleaning an upkept area, it is plenty. I used 2 large tanks to clean and soap my stairs and then to rinse. The instructions are minimal and do not say to rinse, but I have the carpet cleaner and it has a rinse cycle. Easy to clean and does not leak. Also this one came with a complimentary stain concentrate solution, and it was super effective. I choose the corded model and there is a small appliance vacuum sound, but not too loud. The bristol on the big attachment are removable for cleaning and if you need to not cross service, maybe you can purchase extra. The large attachment also has a silicone scrubber I’m not sure what it is for, but I think pet hair. If you see this on sale buy it immediately.

I didn’t want a heavy unit but worried about the suction. I decided to just buy it and try it. Works very well and easy to use. I love the hose cleaning tool to rinse the hose when I’m done. Overall it’s a lightweight unit but very good cleaning power.

It works well on the couches and chairs. A bit smaller and more underpowered than I expected. But it’s ok.

Great little machine. I have 2 dogs and an elderly cat. Messes are a thing in this house lol. As far as suction and tools etc. it’s on par with pretty much every standard spot cleaner but what makes me love this one over others I’ve had is how incredibly easy it is to clean the actual machine.The dirty water tank is easy to remove and super easy to rinse out.The scrubber head comes apart with a click to rinse out that awkward space where the dirty water is sucked up. The scrubby brush that attaches pops right off to rinse. And the best part is this little cap you put over the end of the hose that you just push the sprayer button like you’re spraying solution on the floor but the little cap redirects the water into the hose to clean out the hose!!! No more smelly hose surprise and the hose is clear so you can actually see if you’ve rinsed it all clean.

I’ve had this for about a month, used several times. I have two dogs and this does an amazing job on tuff stains. The suction is superior, and the spray and solution works well. No complaints, other than I wish I bought it sooner!
