The size is perfect for everyday carry. The only problem along with the other power banks in the lineup is the cap retention strap. The rubber will break and get lost. They need to better design the retention strap.

This is a fantastic every day carry power supply for your cell phone. I put in my pocket when I leave home. I get three charges out of it for my cell phone . Two hours or less to charge with a 20 or 40 watt battery charger. Looking into buying one for my son and daughter.

It looks cool and is supposedly water resistant however the device will charge your phone once and then lose power. It’s hard plastic and maybe should have been a quarter of the price. Bottom line. Typical made in China quality.

This was my Best Buy all year, I’ve bought two of these batteries, and the 15000 model and the Solar four panel. And I just got the Fan model. So far they all work great, I recommend all their products. Now if they would make some more cool stuff and maybe lower the price a little.

This battery will feel right at home in your range, hunting, or camping/hiking kit. It feels high quality and didn’t drop any life when I had it on the ice in -30 degree weather. I bought this size because the larger one is a little bulky. It charges out of both ports and FAST. Compared to the biggest brands for batteries these absolutely destroy them for the price.

Very disappointed with this product. It is the first powerbank that I have purchased and I wish I hadn’t bothered. I made sure it was fully charged on its first outing and when I plugged my phone to charge it was showing 3 bars. By the time it had completely died my phone had charges by 15%.I have retried the product at home twice and I am having similar results.I was drawn to the rugged appearance for an outdoor military style powerbank, but unfortunately it is completely useless. Ive since bought one at half the price that is doing the job 100 times better.

I have the whole line of nestout chargers, including the solar panel. I bought this 5k charger as it was smaller and easier to pack for quick trips outdoors. Build quality and performance are outstanding. I highly recommend this and the suite of nestout gear!

the cap keeps falling off the base.. it needs some tweaking. also apparently once the internal battery goes dead it cant be replaced so you have to a whole new unit?

Awesome concept, great design, terrible execution. I cannot get a full charge out of this pack for my Samsung s22. When compared with my other 5000 banks, this one falls short on powering potential. I get roughly 30% charge on my phone from a fully charged bank. Their 10000 is better. If it were not for the waterproof feature, I’d give it 1 star.

I use it as backup power for my phone. I get about 2 charges out of it. Time will tell if the power cell will last. Too think to keep comfortably in a pants pocket, so I carry it in my car or a bag I keep my stuff in at work. Due to size and shape it doesn’t work well for what I wanted it for, but it works for a phone charger.

Worked very well for three occasions. (hence the two stars) However, omn the fourth go-around, the USB-A port broke (the internal tab came out when the cable was unplugged…so now i have an unusable cable as well). In any case, have reached out to Elecom to see if there is a potential for replacement (as luck would have it, i am about a week outside of the return window with NiceShine). In the worst case scenario, I guess i could just use the USB-C henceforth.UPDATE 15 April – as of this input, Elecom has yet to respond to my msg (outside of a very prompt auto generated msg right after i submitted my issue on 1 April, stating that they would respond in a “few days”). The second unit that i have has suffered the same fate (lasted for six cycles). Definitely would NOT recommend the product due to the non-existent reliability and customer support.

I bought the 5k amp hour and the 15k ampsizes. I’m impressed with the construction. The case seems pretty tough and has a rubber o ring on the cap to keep water out. I have only tested them indoors so I don’t know how they will perform in the field. I will update if needed….

I got this for a backpacking trip. I was hoping the caps would keep the batteries waterproof. Unfortunately the rubber covers have absolutely no retention. They were lost within the first 20min of using the device. When I contacted support I was quite disappointed with pricing for replacement caps. These batteries are quite a bit more expensive than competitors, significantly heavier and have slower charging speeds.

Our family has numerous Nestout batteries, lights and fan. This one is at the same quality level as the others we have purchased. Rugged, tight seals, long lasting, and threaded hole for stands (think tripod) I only wish it was available in high-visibility orange so it would be easier to find when dropped in the brush.

I use this as external pack for trijicon IR hunter thermal scope. I Velcro it to the stock of the rifle and run a charging cable to the scope- It keeps the unit powered on all night! 10 hours +
