So it is pretty neat to have a vacuum style your hair. However the learning curve was tough and the videos online aren’t that helpful. I got the hang of the curling wand but my hair was falling flat within an hour or less even inside with no humidity. I ended up ordering dry bar’s southern mousse and it held a lot better but that stuff is pricey. I did a comparison on half my head with a L’Oréal mousse and it fell flat while the dry bar one held up. So basically the key to making your hair hold is the products you use. The smoothing coanda attachment is the most impressive feature. I have blonde highlighted hair that looks damaged if I don’t style it and wow that thing made my hair sooooo smooth and it was quick to do. I got the Shark version as well and did some comparisons and decided the Dyson wins. It’s insanely expensive but if you don’t care about money, go for it.

I have had this product for 6 months or so. I’ve used to every single time after I wash my hair.This product has definitely been life changing but my hair type makes it difficult to get the best results. I don’t get the shiny, sleek look that everyone wants. I still have some frizz but it reduced it a lot.I love all the attachments they include. Unfortunately I barely use the barrels for curls. In order to get good curls, you have to straighten your hair or it will be a mess. I have a difficult time “straightening” my hair when using the attachments. So you might need a straighter if you want the best optimal curls.Keep in mind, I need to get better with it and I’m learning. I’m getting better with them and each time I’ve reduced my time a lot. It’s a really good product, with learning curve. It’s easy to use once you get the hang of it. It’s lightweight which is a big plus. If you have hair like mine, it will still look a bit frizzy.When it comes to value, I don’t regret spending the money I used to buy this. I love it, I look forward to washing my hair because of this product 😅

Large: it takes up a lot of physical space.3. Damages hair. It may not be as damaging as the other hotter tools but it still will dry out your hair. I don’t typically style or color my hair so it is very natural. One week after using it daily, I’ve noticed my hair being more brittle. I would use oils in your hair to combat dehydration.Pros:1. I’ve been wanting a Dyson hair dryer for a long time. When my hair dryer finally died, then I started looking for a Dyson. I saw this and thought I’lm get the dryer as well as all of these extra styling tools. The air dryer attachment is great and dries my hair so fast. Love that. I have fine, frizzy hair. So, after I dry it straight, then I put waves in it by wrapping my hair around my curling iron barrel. I was hoping these attachments would work the same. Nope. I used mousse and a blow out spray on my hair beforehand as well. You must use a mousse if you want any chance of your curls holding with this product. If you are curling your hair in a different way with these attachments, then it works better but I don’t like that type of look. My hair is currently all one length with curtain bangs -so minor layering around my face. If I had a shag cut with more layers then the round brush attachment I think would work out well. Also, just a straight blow out works well with these attachments. I just don’t like my hair straight.

I was really excited to use this and it could have just been a learning curve, but it didn’t work as great as I hoped! I have very long and thick hair and while it dried my hair fast and it curled well, the curls really fell out quickly. It did give a really nice “blown out” look initially, but after a few hours, my hair just looked flat. I also did use hair products, hair spray, etc!

FYI – if you have a cosmetology license you can purchase directly from Dyson with an $150 trade discount.I learned about the Dyson Stick after discussing my woes about how I’d dry my waist length hair while wearing a cast on my hand for 7 weeks post surgery. She lent me her Dyson as the attachable brush allowed me to dry/style my hair with one hand! What a game changer. It also dries the hair much quicker than my current professional dryer, while sealing the cuticle — leaving it very smooth looking and soft feeling. While the dryer has a high price tag for non stylists, it’s only slightly higher priced than what I’d normally spend on a professional high speed, well balanced, powerful dryer. Hopefully, the motor on the Dyson is comparable to my other dryers — in quality and longevity.Con — the case it comes in. While pretty looking, it’s useless. When I order my dryer, I’ll purchases a cloth caddy that can attach to a wall with adhesive for storage and easy access! It IS easy to travel with – as it takes up minimal space.The limited edition dark blue color dryer is only offered at a few select department stores. If you have the patience to really understand the device, it is amazing and the best blow dryer I have ever used. I have used two different revlons and drybar. They do not compare once you unlock the code.I have curly thick hair. At first I thought it was the worst blowdryer and everyone was lying about how “good” it was. My hair was frizzy and when I got it to not be frizzy it would get frizzy in a couple of hours. I couldn’t use it with dry hair. Touchups made my hair look worse.After spending the entire 30 days analyzing the different settings and what made the cuticle close, all of a sudden my hair was softer, thicker, lots of volume, the hold lasts longer, survived mostly after sleeping on it, and I can now do touchups to make my hair look better.I highly recommend this blow dry brush, but you have to take the time to understand it. It requires patience and persistence.

Saw a lot of reviews of the Dyson airwrap and I was skeptical of the results, plus it’s expensive. I decided to buy it in order to replace my Revlon brush/hairdryer. I have abundant thin, wavy, frizzy hair and usually it took me almost 2 hours drying it. With my dyson, it took me 30 minutes to dry it. What I need to practice on my technique when curling my hair; however, it’s not that hard. I love the results! Item was well packed and came completely sealed directly from the Dyson company. Never used and brand new. Now I understand why it’s so expensive, you are paying for quality. Hope this baby lasts!

I never thought I would say this, but it is worth every penny. It is super expensive, but man does my hair look great. It’s healthier and the style last longer than when I use other devices. I am very inept at styling my own hair. This has made it very easy for me to get to salon quality results. I found it easy to learn how to use the device. The noise level is great. I ended up returning this after trying it several times. It dries hair really well and quickly. It has several attachments that are all quite fun to use. I liked the curling one best as it gave me very bouncy and nice perfect curls. However, no matter what attachment I used or what products I tried, my hair always came out very frizzy and dull. I looked up tutorials to try to get better, as it very well could be user error. But this user just never could get the hang of it. I wanted to love it – especially for the price! But I couldn’t make it do what I wanted.

I was thinking about what Dyson is providing all wrong. I thought this was a slightly higher quality tool that would consolidate and replace all my existing tools upgrading each a bit. This is totally wrong, because I didn’t understand how much better the engineering is and what that would mean. The heat is significantly lower than any other tool I own and the airflow more controlled. This makes it much faster and gentler on my hair. I can diffuse my long hair in ten minutes and straighten AND style (curl) in about 20 minutes. You will look back at every other tool you own like a cast iron curling rod from the 1800s after using this.

Used this with the large round brush attachment for the first time today. Normally, it takes me 40mins to blow dry my hair with the Revlon brush. It took me the same exact amount of time to do it with the Airwrap. The pros I will say are that it’s very light so it not as tiresome for me who has very thick curly hair. The other pro is that because it’s light weight the back of my hair which I save for the end looks nicer. The cons is the price so far that one thing isn’t worth the amount of money. Looking forward to trying again to see how long it will take the next time and the health of my hair the the coming months. I also think that for the price the box should have been like a tabletop attachment holder or something. Everything inside is black paper. I have to buy a carrying case separate.

I love this hair dryer. I had no idea I would like it so much. It doesn’t get too hot. It’s so well thought out, it’s oval so it doesn’t roll off the counter. The attachments pop on and off easily. You only need one hand to use it, brush not necessary. I don’t even separate the hair… I think it’s fun to let it pick up what hair it takes and when you’re done you have a great hairstyle. I purchased this during an NiceShine coupon promotion – it was ~$140 off, and I had a credit card promo for $200, getting the styler for just under $300 with taxes brand new in the strawberry bronze color. I’ve been using the styler for a month now, and it’s quite intuitive to use as a hair hobbyist. I have noticed that my hair does get damaged at the hottest setting, unfortunately. However, at the medium setting or lowest setting, my hair doesn’t get damaged. It’s true, my hair looks amazing and bouncy whenever I use my Airwrap. I have straight medium fine hair but a lot of it. I wanted the diffuser for waves and find it hard to use, but I quickly got a hang of the curling function. You can do your hair in less than 15 min if it’s short! I used to have long hair and this will be great for when it gets long again. The color is more beautiful in person, and the set though very pricy, is well worth the cost. NiceShine gave me a partial refund for a missing piece – the Dyson cleaning brush – and I’m grateful for that customer service.

I have wanted this Dyson for 4 years. For four years I have been watching videos on technique, products to use with it, etc and when I finally tried it on my hair I was sad to see it didn’t hold well in my hair. I tried every method- wet, dry, clean hair, dirty hair, mouse, hairspray, texturizing spray, everything. It would look beautiful and then when I would wake up my hair would revert back to its natural texture which is curly and frizzy. Nothing wrong with the product, just sad because I wanted it to work! I returned and purchased the shark blow dry brush to replace my revlon brush as I wanted less heat damage.

It is impossible to curl your hair with a hair dryer. You’ll need to use the fly away attachment every time and I don’t usually get fly aways. It does a great job for volume and blow drying straight but the other styling attachments are very hard to use. It’s impossible to curl your hair without layers blowing all over the place.

I’ve been wanting to buy one of these for two years after my hairdresser used the Coanda fly away remover on my hair to tame the flyaways that were sticking out of my head after a blowout. It was like magic. I have terribly dry, frizzy hair and have never been able to recreate a blowout at home. The best I can do is use a ceramic iron to tame my hair but it causes so much damage. I waited two years to finally buy a Dyson because it’s so expensive. When I finally took the plunge I figured if it wasn’t worth it, I could always return it. Much to the dismay of my bank account, it turned out to be worth it. My husband is not one to comment on my hair but he immediately took notice. I do a weekly Zoom call with my mom and sisters and they immediately noticed. I used to dread styling my hair but now it is fun! My favorite tools are the firm smoothing brush (which uses the Coanda technology) and of course I also like the dryer and the flyaway smoother. The dryer dries remarkably fast. If you’re on the fence (and especially if you have unmanageable dry, frizzy hair like mine) give it a try, you will be amazed.

I was on the fence about ordering this. My mom is a hairdresser and I’ve always had a variety of tools at my fingertips. I absolutely LOVE this tool. It takes a minute to figure out, but once you do, it is fabulous! Tip: make sure your hair is wet enough when curling for them to hold

I see a lot of people not thinking this works for fine, straight hair, but it does. It’s a matter of figuring out what combo of hair products works for you (I use hairitage curl enhancing foam, tresemme extra hold mousse, not your mother’s beach babe texturizing spray, and hairspray, everything inexpensive and purchased from walmart ). I use a golf ball size dollop for the mousse, half of that for the curl foam, both in wet hair and brushed through with a paddle brush. I took a shower prior to using this and shampooed only. No conditioner (no leave in either), whereas I normally would. I used the drying attachment to get it mostly dry (wet to touch, but dry enough where you could leave the house in a hurry), then I section. I use the texturizing spray (lightly or it’ll be crunchy) over a section, curling in half inch wide pieces. Larger pieces won’t curl. After each section is done, I spray with hair spray. I don’t brush out until I’m done, and instead of turning the air wrap off to pull the curl out, I let it go while it’s still on so it tightens the curl even more. I continue this way until all sections are done. I had accidentally used it on the lowest heat section the first time I used it so the curls were loose and only at the bottom so I went and re curled some pieces on high (my normal heat setting) towards the top to balance it out. I’m going on four hours and my hair has more body than it usually would by now. There’s also far less frizz and the curls settled better. Some people may have even better luck with wrapping each curl around a curler until the hair has completely cooled. I haven’t tried that method yet, since not doing it worked great for me.Other tips:If you have extremely long hair, the weight of the hair is going to pull down a curl regardless of hair weight. I cut my hair right before doing this (length is about mid chest, with layers) so I’m not sure how it would have worked before (similar length but no layers). You may need shorter hair to get the curls you want. The air wrap can still produce great volume with little effort!The air wrap is not going to curl your hair for you. Yes it’s expensive. Yes, some of you expect to be able to style with no effort. Not everyone is that lucky, and some of us (me included) have to do some of the work. Play around and figure out what works the best for you. It does take a bit of a learning curve!General pros:It’s lightweight! I cracked my wrist almost clean across a decade ago, so repetitive movement creates easy strain, which hurts. I can’t speak for those with arthritis, but this device is significantly lighter weight than most styling devices. It took me an hour to get my hair done, and there was no arm weakness/strain, nor any pain in my wrist.The case. I like that the device and attachments have their own slots. Everything tucks away nicely and neatly, and all pieces fit perfectly inside (as in, there’s no angry rearrangement because I can’t get the lid on).Variety of attachments! I’ve spent most of my life trying to find some sort of hair device that will make my hair pretty (those of you can go have annoyingly straight hair understand this lol). This replaces two of my curling irons, replaces my hair dryer round brush, and replaces a hair dryer. It works great to dry fine hair without it becoming a tangle fest.Cons:So far, the Coanda effect is a pain to learn. The airway refused to grab my hair if I picked up chunks that were too big. Once it was on, it was on, but I did have to play with the fan settings sometimes to get it to wrap my hair.I wouldn’t say this device is for “long” hair (at least not if you’re asking anybody who does have long hair). I think the length my hair is at now would be considered long-medium. Anyone who has longer hair would probably benefit from hair rollers, whether that be alone, or after using this device for an initial curl.The cooling shot is also the power button. While on, push that button up. I feel that it should have been added to the temperature options since it’s such an easily missed feature.

Yes, finally! The convenience this tool will bring into your life, oh my goodness. I have long curly, wavy hair. Using the drying tool makes my hair frizzy, but the curler tools and brushes dry your hair just as well without frizz. I will be buying so many attachments, fantastic tool.

We know her, and we love her. It’s a legit Dyson Airwrap, it’s expensive but worth it since it’s doing two jobs in one! If you have thicker hair, your hair might not hold a curl as long, but you will get the blow out look!

Love the Dyson Airwrap. Does it hold curls in my hair, nope. However, it does make me feel like I’ve been to a salon for a blowout. Hair dryer portion dries hair quickly. I feel like my hair lays down better and is smoother after using for drying too. Love the different attachments and do recommend purchasing the smallest curling wand. I think it’s the .80. I did purchase a Bagsmart bag to use for storage and travel. It comes with a nice case, but it’s just too big for everyday use. It does have an extremely long cord with a large box attached to it. Can be cumbersome, but not a deal breaker. I’ve only had it a few months, but have enjoyed it. Hopefully for the price it’s long lasting. Purchased through NiceShine to use the monthly payment option for 5 months.

I received this as a Christmas gift. For 90% of my life I have been an air dry girl. Who has time to sit & blow dry your hair daily never mind heat damage that can be caused. So I was rather overwhelmed at first with all the bells and whistles of this set. You can find so many videos online of people showing each tool, settings etc. I can now tell you 4 months later I am in LOVE with this product!! Absolutely AMAZING and HIGHLY recommend!! I can dry, curl, straighten, & smooth – on high, medium,low or even cool!! My hair looks so good now and the dryer dries SO fast time is never an issue.
