Overall this is a great product. Our son just loves it, especially the bulldozer-like utensils. We are very impressed with the quality of this set. It is far more durable than we anticipated. We originally got this set for our son to use for his truck/construction themed birthday and only expected it to last a few uses, but it’s now months later and the set us good as new. It’s easy for our son to use, we had been afraid the utensils would be bulky and difficult for him to hold on to and eat with, but there have been no issues. And the separate areas on the plate are wonderful for our picky eater. We would definitely recommend this set to friends and will probably give as a gift in the future.

I saw this set and thought it would be the pefect gift for my truck loving 3 year old. The trucks are really cute and the set overall is well made and durable (though a little pricey). The ergonomics of the utensils could be better. There is no curve to the handle and the fork is completely flat. You have to hold the utensils almost completely horizontal in order to scoop food onto the fook/spoon, but the plate ledge interferes. It takes some practice! At this point my son just really isn’t that interested in using it. I pull it out at dinner periodically, but it’s not something he asks for.

Worth the price for the amount of play activity and enjoyment. We have 2 nephews who are 3 and almost 5 and it was a big hit. Gave it to them just before Thanksgiving dinner and they were quiet throughout dinner and happily playing with their new toys and eating their food. Their mother said they had never eaten peas from a spoon before, they always ate them one at a time with their fingers. They loved playing with the utensils after dinner too. Love the bulldozer “shovel’ that lets you push food onto your spoon. Very clever!! What a great gift, would give it to another child in a heartbeat!!

I love using this for family sit-down dinners. Obviously because of the separation its not the best for all meals (like sandwiches), but for an entree with several sides it is perfect. My kid loves it – the only problem is sometimes he has to play with the utensils for awhile before he will settle down and eat (really not a problem most of the time)! The fork is a little sharp (as compared to our Ikea kid forks), but doesn’t seem to do any better job, so I guess I wish it was slightly duller. Its also a little harder to clean than something without the letters, separators, and details, but as long as you clean it right after use I don’t think you will have any problems.

Great concept! I purchased this set as a birthday gift for my son when he turned 3. He was in the thick of the picky, too-busy-playing-to-eat phase, and this does help him focus at the dinner table. The pusher utensil is great. The fork is well designed, too, because the tines are straight, thin, and pointy. So many kid forks are blunt, making them nearly impossible to use.My only complaint (why I gave 4 instead of 5 starts) is that there isn’t a whole lot of room for the FOOD on this plate, once you put the three utensils on. If you leave the utensils off, you can put more food on the plate, but you know a hungry 3-yr-old will cry if you don’t put the utensils on the plate just so.There’s room for about 4 bites of food–one bite per section on the plate. Other than that, a good product. Good quality justifies the high price.

This is such a fun set! My son absolutely loves it, we have two of these sets. The fun utensils have really encouraged him to start feeding himself. He can be a very picky eater, like a lot of toddlers, and this set makes mealtime fun… and a lot easier on mom and dad too! The plate is great quality, it’s durable and thicker, more heavy duty, unlike a lot of flimsy plastic plates we have. The utensils are durable as well. The one downside to the plate is that it has smaller sections, but none of them are that big, so if he’s eating something like a grilled cheese sandwich, we can’t use this plate. The other reason I knocked off a star is because the utensils have the cute trucks on them, but they are kind of big and chunky and take up a big portion of the handle, so the utensils can be a bit hard to hold for little tiny hands.

I bought this for the three year old son of a good friend of mine. She mentioned that they’d been having “eating issues” and my hope was that this could make mealtime more fun. It worked! He is now focused on using the contruction equipment (utensils) to shovel the food right into his pie hole! This is a fun present for any toddler who is learning to feed him/her self. And the whole thing is dishwasher AND microwave safe, and is free of those nasty chemicals that we are warned about in some plastic products. Everybody wins!

This set was purchased for our 3 year old son for Christmas 2015. My rating is based on it. We were disappointed by its function. Although our son is crazy about building machines, he says the spoon is silly and impossible to eat with. I would say that the product is designed for older children.PLUS:- Great idea- Quality materials- Made in USACONS:- Cutlery have short handles. It means that spoon does not hold in its place (marked by arrow and “Spon”) and flips over the edge of the plate. (You can see it in the product photo – the spoon hardly stays in the plate.) Our little son cannot hold cutlery properly. When construction machines are “in the field” and try to push food down by bulldozer’s track, his fingers and the handle is grubby from food. The handle of the fork lays in food right from the start.- Protruding letters on the rim of the plate are hard to clean.- In reality, the product is a lot smaller than it looks from the photos (and than the price suggests).- Our son is dirty when eating with this product (because of the short handles etc.), he is not enthusieastic about it, our nervousness is rising and it affects eating habits.

I almost got this for my then 2 year old for Christmas but it seemed really expensive. I got it for him the following year and I realized it was totally worth the money. It makes eating way more fun and I was looking for something to encourage him since he’s not a big eater. Worth the money if your kid is in to construction stuff and you have trouble getting him to eat. Bonus that the utensils are perfect for letting my younger infant chew on.

We bought this for our 3 year old daughter for her birthday. At the time she didn’t want to feed herself using forks or spoons. She wanted to use her fingers. Enter the constructive eating set. She uses it every night for dinner and loves it. The pusher tool is especially helpful so she doesn’t use her fingers to get peas and other difficult foods onto her spoon. The only reason I give this 4 stars is the expensive price and the one smallest section on the plate being way too small to use. However if you have a difficult eater, this worked for us and made dinner more enjoyable for everyone.

Toddler loved it…the introduction of fork and spoon from ‘finger food’ is a fun experience. The one thing – the tools on the plate are made for right-handed kids unless you turn the plate ‘upside down.’ Our little guy kept ‘stabbing and shoving’ the food with the fork in his right hand and then before putting to his mouth, he switched to the left hand and often the food would fall off from the switching of hands activity….maybe order for left and right handed should be an option?? Being left handed is often challenging enough not to be frustrated by your food falling off the fork…but we just turned the plate ‘upside down’ so the ramps and things for the utensils would work for our ‘lefty.’

Cute well made set. Purchased for adult graduate as joke when he graduated from heavy equipment certification classes and plan to save for future grands.. Only comment is shipping by many sellers has gone to a UPS /USPS combo which ends up in mailbox or in our case back at post office! 30 mile round trip is not my idea of convenient PRIME delivery! City dwellers would get at front door with no inconvenience but 6 out of 6 recent orders have had to be picked up in town after we found out package location. Very frustrating.

Just gave this to my 2/12 year old construction truck fanatic grandson today at lunch, and he went CRAZY! Loved it and wanted to eat his rice/peas&carrots immediately – a regular meal for him – and this set is made for that sort of scoopable food. At his age it was a bit hard for him to maneuver the 3 utensils, but I’m sure he’ll be shoveling, scooping and “fork-lifting” soon enough. It was made in USA with a nice sturdy feel, and appears to be easy to clean. Very very pleased!

He’s always been too picky to eat or waste his time at the table, now he’s eating better and more. This is only allowed to be used at meal time so he doesn’t get tired of it by simply playing with the utensils at will. He’s engaged with loading his fork and spoon with the pusher so it’s busy work as well as getting him to eat better. How do you unload the fork and spoon? You eat it… He’s even asked for more a couple of times and that’s NEVER happened before. He’s always wanted down immediately after we sit down to eat. Only reason for 4 stars is portion partitions are really small. This washes well in the dishwasher as well as being easily hand washed if it’s washed before the food gets dried on.

We bought this set for one of our grandsons and he loves it. His younger brother kept taking it though so we bought this one for him to stop them from fighting over the set. One word of caution: if you have a child who is a picky eater or just hard to deal with at meal time, this will make it worse as my grandson at times plays with the utensils rather that eat with them.

My son loves his construction plate and utensils! It makes dinner time exciting for him! My only complaint is that the fork is made flat without a curve due to the “fork lift” design, so it’s very challenging to get the food to stay “stabbed” on the fork, (which is important when kids are trying to learn how to use utensils). Overall, very cute, just not the most functional fork.

It’s durable is maybe the best thing about it- the design for using the spoon was poorly thought out- it DOES NOT STAY BALANCED on the plate so the “bulldozer” can push the food onto the SPOON – GREAT IDEA- it could/ would work great ( 2 yr old grandson likes it ) BUT POOR DESIGN . IT PROBABLY COULD BE MODIFIED to make it work better. Also it’s Overpriced in my opinion -$30+

Very original & high quality! I am not happy about the price. I think there’s a premium on this set, because it’s so unique. I am giving it 4 stars, because of that. Lower the price! Plastic isn’t an expensive material after all.

Oh boy does my 2-year-old love this set. He is obsessed with trucks and this is the perfect way to get him excited about food. I initially wished that the wheels actually turned on the utensils but upon further analysis realized that would make them a pain to wash, so I quickly changed my mind. If you struggle with your kid at meal time and they love their truck toys, this is the product for you.

I highly recommend this plate and utensil set! We’ve struggled with picky eating for a long time at my house and when I bought this Constructive Eating set, I was hesitantly optimistic. But the good news is that we received this on Saturday morning, immediately used it at breakfast, and my son hasn’t refused (much) since. Even on the foods he ends up not eating, he at least will take a bite first before refusing.

I had an issue with the fork in this set. Customer service went above and beyond to help me! I was told the issue that I had has only happened one other time in several years, so not the norm.My replacement set has held up as expected, and does well in the dishwasher on top rack. The fork works much better than kid forks from other brands and has a much easier time stabbing things while still being kid friendly. And the pusher is brilliant!I will purchase from this brand again, but will probably only get the utensils as I don’t feel like the plate adds much for us personally. Love supporting an amazing US company!

I love this set! I am very impressed by the quality. It is not cheap typical plastic. The utensils are more like a rubber type texture that will hold up well and not break off! I’ve only hand washed it so far and it’s very easy to clean. Super cute concept for picky eaters and truck lovers!

Grandson loves the utensils , not so much the plate, yet. He might still be to young to figure out the mechanics of the plate. He is just 16 months old at the time I bought this for him. Overall I really like the idea of small kids learning by playing. In this case it happens to be food.

The plate and silverware are thick sturdy plastic. The plate is a good large size, not a tiny baby plate. It’s super cute and definitely will bring some fun to the dinner table for kiddos. Fork is decently pointed for a kids fork, which is good as some forks are too dull for a kiddo to easily stab it through foods. Price is quite steep for a plate and kids silverware but it’s worth it.

By themselves the plate is really cool and the utensils are really cool but they don’t seem to work well together the civil war doesn’t sit right so the spoon is always popping up and it makes it hard to load it and actually put food on it. It’s like they bought two different brands of something pregnant we go together and in this case it doesn’t

I bought this after an influencer recommended it and I honestly don’t think the plate or utensils do much for our 2 year old. I don’t know much about the behavior change strategy of playing with food to make it a positive experience, but it hasn’t seemed to do much for him other than literally moving the food around his plate, which he doesn’t do much in this plate anyway. We’ve been trying to adjust how we feed our son since he’s become a picky eater over the past year. We’ve employed other strategies that have been way more effective (not letting them snack all day, not being a short order cook) so while this set is very cute, I don’t think it’s helped our case.

The dish is great- substantial and good sized and very cute. The utensils are adorable, but for younger toddlers they can be tricky to use to “shovel” food onto the utensils. As they get older, it becomes more fun and easier. My granddaughter just used the regular fork and spoon function at first when she was under 2. Great fun to feed them with. It kept her interested in meals.Quality is great- thick and nice colors, with no sharp edges on the utensils or plate.

My nieces LOVE these. Bought them to make dinners easier but they’ve also turned out to be a great toy oddly enough. They’ve picked up how to use them really quick and now they set their own places at the table. Utensils and plates are durable, very high-quality, and easy to clean. Absolutely worth the money – the Dinneractive (?) ones cost less but after seeing the pics of them dissolving after a couple washes, I’m very glad I opted for these instead.

Arriving in a Ziploc Baggie does not lead me to believe this is sterile upon arrival, plus there was hair stuck under some of the lettering on the outside room of the plate. It’ll work but just a strange way to receive it.

I saw the video for this and knew that my granddaughter would love it. Once she saw it she was excited, and it’s one of her most favorite things.

Kelsie Tregilgas –

Jean Baker –

Joxlin –
I almost got this for my then 2 year old for Christmas but it seemed really expensive. I got it for him the following year and I realized it was totally worth the money. It makes eating way more fun and I was looking for something to encourage him since he’s not a big eater. Worth the money if your kid is in to construction stuff and you have trouble getting him to eat. Bonus that the utensils are perfect for letting my younger infant chew on.
Book Mom –
We bought this for our 3 year old daughter for her birthday. At the time she didn’t want to feed herself using forks or spoons. She wanted to use her fingers. Enter the constructive eating set. She uses it every night for dinner and loves it. The pusher tool is especially helpful so she doesn’t use her fingers to get peas and other difficult foods onto her spoon. The only reason I give this 4 stars is the expensive price and the one smallest section on the plate being way too small to use. However if you have a difficult eater, this worked for us and made dinner more enjoyable for everyone.
Knitting_Knut –
L. White –
Elizabeth S. –
Biz Chick –
Dennis Stephan –
We bought this set for one of our grandsons and he loves it. His younger brother kept taking it though so we bought this one for him to stop them from fighting over the set. One word of caution: if you have a child who is a picky eater or just hard to deal with at meal time, this will make it worse as my grandson at times plays with the utensils rather that eat with them.
Amanda Pace –
My son loves his construction plate and utensils! It makes dinner time exciting for him! My only complaint is that the fork is made flat without a curve due to the “fork lift” design, so it’s very challenging to get the food to stay “stabbed” on the fork, (which is important when kids are trying to learn how to use utensils). Overall, very cute, just not the most functional fork.
No BS –
It’s durable is maybe the best thing about it- the design for using the spoon was poorly thought out- it DOES NOT STAY BALANCED on the plate so the “bulldozer” can push the food onto the SPOON – GREAT IDEA- it could/ would work great ( 2 yr old grandson likes it ) BUT POOR DESIGN . IT PROBABLY COULD BE MODIFIED to make it work better. Also it’s Overpriced in my opinion -$30+
O. Vasilisa –
Very original & high quality! I am not happy about the price. I think there’s a premium on this set, because it’s so unique. I am giving it 4 stars, because of that. Lower the price! Plastic isn’t an expensive material after all.
Maya –
Oh boy does my 2-year-old love this set. He is obsessed with trucks and this is the perfect way to get him excited about food. I initially wished that the wheels actually turned on the utensils but upon further analysis realized that would make them a pain to wash, so I quickly changed my mind. If you struggle with your kid at meal time and they love their truck toys, this is the product for you.
S. Wood –
Melissa –
It’s cute, stands up to an almost-3 yr old playing with it, but my nephew refuses to eat from the plate or the silverware, just plays with it. But he’s using his regular silverware, so baby steps.
Kels –
The only bad thing I have to say is I wish the plate was bigger. i knew the dimensions going into my purchase but i have a 7 year old picky eater that I’m trying to increase with amount size. Overall it is working for what I need it for!
Kaley –
I had an issue with the fork in this set. Customer service went above and beyond to help me! I was told the issue that I had has only happened one other time in several years, so not the norm.My replacement set has held up as expected, and does well in the dishwasher on top rack. The fork works much better than kid forks from other brands and has a much easier time stabbing things while still being kid friendly. And the pusher is brilliant!I will purchase from this brand again, but will probably only get the utensils as I don’t feel like the plate adds much for us personally. Love supporting an amazing US company!
Sharemets –
I love this set! I am very impressed by the quality. It is not cheap typical plastic. The utensils are more like a rubber type texture that will hold up well and not break off! I’ve only hand washed it so far and it’s very easy to clean. Super cute concept for picky eaters and truck lovers!
Cypress knee –
Grandson loves the utensils , not so much the plate, yet. He might still be to young to figure out the mechanics of the plate. He is just 16 months old at the time I bought this for him. Overall I really like the idea of small kids learning by playing. In this case it happens to be food.
Dana A Rinkenbaugh –
My grandson is over the moon about this set. He is a big car/truck kid and gives him the freedom it eat his way. His dexterity is improving with the use of the utensils. He loves that his food doesn’t touch. Rinse the corners well.
Jennifer Bird –
Just wow!!! This product is not only sturdy made solid but it incredibly safe! The features are incredible, you can’t get better quality really. My son finally will eat! He loves this set and we have multiple now. Definitely recommend. It’s the coolest plate set I’ve ever seen. Just buy it!
Serena Andres –
My kid loves this so much! He loves the trucks on the utensils, and things it’s so fun to push the food around on the plate
Traci Glass –
Even the most picky eaters will enjoy eating in plates with silverware that feels like play. They are easy to clean and are very durable. Even your rough and tough boy can’t mess that’s plates up! A ver good value.
Do better –
Helps my 20 month old load his spoon more easily. Keeps him more interested in working with fork and spoon and not grabbing dinner with his hands and mashing it into his hair…
Shannon Bell –
Very interactive and engaging for dinner. The colors hold up well in the dishwasher, haven’t had any fading or cracking. Cleans easily in the dishwasher. The kids think it’s a puzzle to put the utensils in their slots.

My grandson seems to find eating boring, but this makes it much more interesting and fun for him.

My almost 2 year old loves it.Only thing I would like to see is suction cups to hold the plate down.
Steven –
My grandson loved this construction plate and utensils! He was super excited and had to have a snack right away on his plate! It looks really durable and he’ll be able to use it for quite a long time! Happy with our purchase!
Lilliana’s Heart –
The plate and silverware are thick sturdy plastic. The plate is a good large size, not a tiny baby plate. It’s super cute and definitely will bring some fun to the dinner table for kiddos. Fork is decently pointed for a kids fork, which is good as some forks are too dull for a kiddo to easily stab it through foods. Price is quite steep for a plate and kids silverware but it’s worth it.
Deborah L. Troedel –
My Grandson was thrilled upon opening the box. He loved it and had a wonderful time eating with it. Specially scooping up the applesauce! Great idea for kids!!!

My grandson loves this! Makes mealtime fun and has withstood a lot of washings. Very cute!

The grandkids love these products. Experimenting with the dinosaurs and trucks gets them closer to eating with something other than their hands.

Perfect for a 4 year old who enjoys playing with trucks and construction vehicles. It’s fun to load and move the food along the highway,
Evi Geerts –
It makes eating much more entertaining and hence easier for him. Good quality, would recommend it.
Stephanie –
The kids absolutely love these plates! It keeps them focused on eating more and not getting so distracted.
tyler homan –
By themselves the plate is really cool and the utensils are really cool but they don’t seem to work well together the civil war doesn’t sit right so the spoon is always popping up and it makes it hard to load it and actually put food on it. It’s like they bought two different brands of something pregnant we go together and in this case it doesn’t
Martin Boehm –
Our grandson loves eating with this, and it is made in America to boot!

This construction eating plate and utensils is a must have for little ones obsessed with construction equipment! Our 2 1/2 year old grandson always smiles when Nana (me) or Papa take it out of the cabinet for when he visits. Problem is…he wants to take it home! HaHa, but not a real problem…because it’s he knows it’s something special at our house!

My 2 year old loves it. It makes meal time extra fun. Very study material. There’s a lot of attention to the detail of the design. It’s more on expensive side but it’s definitely worth the money!

This plate was purchased for my 18 month old son. It’s really cute. Good quality. He loves it!
Jo –
Our 8 month old didn’t really recognize the garden, but liked eating out of the divided sections. She loved the utensils, especially the “hoe!”
Lindsey Scales –

Grandson who is beginning to feed himself loves these pieces! They are so cute
Doreen A. Garrido –
Wayne Morris –
These are a fun addition to the dinner time

I brought this for 1st birthday gift. My niece said her son likes eating with it. He likes to push food on spoon, but he has to learn not to put spoon so far in his mouth.

Wonderful just as described

My nieces LOVE these. Bought them to make dinners easier but they’ve also turned out to be a great toy oddly enough. They’ve picked up how to use them really quick and now they set their own places at the table. Utensils and plates are durable, very high-quality, and easy to clean. Absolutely worth the money – the Dinneractive (?) ones cost less but after seeing the pics of them dissolving after a couple washes, I’m very glad I opted for these instead.
