This is a really cute little plant pot. It’s a great idea, using animations to indicate the conditions for the plant. Be aware that it specifically supports 36 different types of plants so you’ll have to check it’s suitable for your intended use. It has a built-in battery so can be used cordless but it only lasts around 8 hours out of standby so you’ll probably want to keep it plugged in. There are tons of animations used for the face to indicate things like light level too low, temp too high, water needed etc. It’s a great gift idea for someone just getting into growing plants as it offers a lot of assistance on maintenance and conditions. You can also access it via the app to get alerts when something needs to be done such as watering it. Note that it is quite a small pot, ideally suited to a desk or small shelf. I think it’s really cool.

I have a difficult time keeping my plants alive. I heard of this product and thought it was super cute. I figured, “Why not” try something that will allow me to finally keep my plant alive? I chose an easy succulent that was not toxic for my cats and could be kept in my office. This Smart Flowerpot is so cute with its facial expressions. The facial expressions will change according to the holidays. You can create your own expressions if you choose to (you need to use a computer and can’t do it on the app). It comes with an app that keeps you informed on the health of the plant, including water level, light level, air temperature, and humidity.The face of the flowerpot can be changed to either the expressions or the date and time. There is even a Pomodoro Timer option to help your work productivity. It has touch “bars” on the sides that do different functions on the flowerpot.Overall, I can finally keep a plant alive with this flowerpot! The app tells me when to add more water as it “drinks” from the bottom.The only problem is that the pot for the plant is small, so I had to find a tiny succulent that would fit. I would really love it if they created a much larger smart flowerpot that I could place in another room and actually plant regular-sized flowers in.

Tried to configure the plot when I got it. I turned it off during the configuration because I didn’t have time to finish configure it. When turning it back on and trying to configure it again it won’t no longer connect to the belonging app no matter how many times I try to restart and reset it. And without passing the configuration the product is useless. There is no support info about this issue either, which I find to be really bad. Never thought the quality would be this bad for the high price of the product. So unfortunately I can’t give this smart flowerpot a better rating than 1 out of 5 stars>:(

I bought Ivy (another brand of the same item sold here) and I am not impressed. It does not grow plants well. It’s cool to have a couple of IOT sensors on the shelf to tell me how much light one shelf is getting, but the soil moisture sensor never works, the water level cannot be measured, the battery dies after 1 day so it must be constantly plugged in, the WiFi connection is easy but my lack of trust in these no name electronics makes me wonder how much it’s spying on my network. Also, the touch sensors are not sensitive to touch when the device is plugged in, so to do the cutesy touch gesture to make it smile, you need to unplug the USB, interact with the touch sensors, then plug it back in so it won’t die in the next 24 hrs. The ceramic beads included as top dressing are annoying and get all over the floor on stick to your feet. This thing really sucks all around.
