I bought this shoe organizer for my wife and I am very happy with it (she is too). I tried one of those organizers that is like a big sheet with a bunch of pockets on it… useless. The pockets were too small to hold 90% of the shoes she has (just one shoe per pocket), and shoes that have any kind of weight to the heel pull on the pocket and hang way out away from the door. That thing got returned. But this one I like. The “shelves” are deep enough to hold just about any kind of shoe, and the construction is sturdy enough that I feel pretty confident that it will last. The metal tube frame is very lightweight but the design is good and it seems like it will do the job long term. The hooks that go over the door are padded on the inside and the frame has plastic endcaps on the parts that touch the door, so I don’t expect it to do any damage to the door. Now, as far as the assembly goes – yes, it comes with a full-size, multi-page instruction manual that is well written and has large, easy to comprehend diagrams, but the sequence of steps should be changed up to make the process much easier. The manual instructs you to assemble one vertical support and attach ALL of the horizontal rods in the first step. After having done this, you are supposed to slide the single piece mesh shelving over all of the horizontal bars. Imagine this and you’ll understand. The mesh is extremely lightweight and porous, and the sleeves that fit over the horizontal rods are fairly snug. This means that you will have to slide a couple inches onto one rod, then a couple inches onto the next rod and so on. The whole time you are doing this, the mesh that you put over the first few rods is actively trying to work itself off. This is pretty frustrating and it takes a relatively long time to get all of the mesh over all of the rods. Here’s my recommendation:1. Assemble the two vertical supports and hang them over the door at the proper distance apart.2. Connect the top horizontal rod to one side and slide the top sleeve of the mesh material completely onto the tube.3. Loosely connect the first rod to the other vertical support so that the mesh is trapped and can’t go anywhere.4. Then slide the remaining horizontal rods into the remaining mesh sleeves and loosely connect both ends to the vertical supports.5. Repeat this until all of the rods are in place and then tighten everything up, making sure not to pinch the mesh at either end.6. Stand back and marvel at how easy that was. This is how I wish I had assembled it. Efficient. Stable. Zero frustration. Try it out and let me know.

If you are considering getting this product, you should totally buy it. I looked at hundreds of knock-off brands with weird names that have products like this, but the same price and crappier. This is a really high-quality product for a really great price. I would expect to see this kind of thing at a Target. Very sturdy, very well made. I also like that they have a patent on this design, because to me that shows that they are trying to provide a high-quality item, not just sell junk. That being said, here is why I give it 4 stars:1. The instructions aren¡¯t as effective as they could be. I would suggest to the Whitmor team that they test a group of consumers and monitor them as they put the rack together. Sliding the mesh over all the poles at once just is not really feasible. You should definitely slide the mesh over the poles and THEN screw them in.Other instruction thoughts:- Assembly time: it took me 45 minutes to assemble completely.- Complicated: I was briefly overwhelmed at first with all the labels on the bags, trying to find A, B, C, and D. The first step had way too many instructions at once. I would suggest a step-by-step assembly video (QR code on the instructions).2. No-go for high tops. I assumed my boots would have to go on the top shelf, but as you can see, my Jordans (and not pictured, my heels) didn¡¯t fit upright and were way too big for the slots. I had to stuff them sideways, which meant less room. This is partly because of the angled way you slide shoes in¡ªit just doesn¡¯t work for anything besides very low-topped shoes.3. Cover photo shows that you can fit 3 pairs nicely in one row. This is totally false. I wear Women¡¯s size 8, and two pairs plus a single shoe was the most I could get in one row.Overall, really great product. Just a few pieces of feedback I would give the creators. I think they have a great thing going though, and I would recommend this product to anyone.(New product ideas for this brand:- same shelf, freestanding (not in a cart, but tall and thin)- same shelf, area with one larger gap for boots and high tops)

Love it. Weird to put together and can’t use bottom sleeve but probably my fault. I just love how well it hold SO many aduly sized shoes. I tried the fabric kind that hand and they just tear. The underneath the bed type get stuck. Only drawback- It kept catching the door so I had to fix it to the door with a few short screws. Hope this helps

Life saver of a shoe rack. Very easy to put together and install (they do provide more tools if you want to really install rather than just slide it onto the door, but I just hooked it onto the door quick and easy). Lot’s of space for shoes and keeps everything nice and neat. Only minor drawback is big/tall shoes can be difficult to fit, otherwise you’re set!

Hi. I have never been a fan of shoe racks¡ÂMy shoes always fall off of them and they were usually shoved in the back of the closet where I can¡¯t even find my shoes. I¡¯ve purchased big ol¡¯ racks that take up too much space too. This one is perfect! My shoes fit, I can see them, and now I might actually wear the ones I forgot about. One tip, don¡¯t put heavy boots like Docs on them because it weighs it down too much to close the door. I swapped a couple out for tennis shoes and it was great again.

There are several reasons why I would highly recommend purchasing this over the door shoe organizer. The frame is made of metal reinforced with screws therefore it is very sturdy. A previous shoe organizer I purchased was all plastic and eventually fell apart. It holds a lot of shoes. The mesh fabric makes it is easier to accommodate different styles ( booties, heels , flats). I am very satisfied with this product and would highly recommend.

Product works for the cost. Didn¡¯t come with instructions but was easy to figure out. It¡¯s easy to over tighten the screws which bends the thin cheaper metal it made of but again, you get what you pay for. The depth of the shelves is not very deep and the height between shelves is also narrow. So, larger shoes both tall and long don¡¯t fit super well. It works for women¡¯s size 9.5 sneakers and flats well though. Just not booties or larger work boots.

Easy to put together. It¡¯s lightweight but strong. I wish the slots were made from something other than netting, but I understand that¡¯s why it¡¯s so lightweight. It would¡¯ve been great if the slots had a little bit of net coming upwards on each of the levels so that my flats wouldn¡¯t fall out, but overall I really like this & would recommend it!

Yessss this is what I have been needing forever!! I didn’t think I would have enough room with all my shoes!! This definitely has my thinking I can use a few more shows to fill it completely. The only thing I’m sad about are my winter boots are a little harder to get on the rack however I was still able to get them in. Impressed with the sturdiness

Huge upgrade! I had the small cheap plastic holders before on both sides of the door, most were ripped out. This one is sturdy and holds way more shoes! I have 39 pairs on now and couple probably get a couple smaller sandals on still.

Works great. I wear size 9 and they got pretty good. Only have over a little bit. Before I was using one of the shoe organizers that were over the door with pockets and all the shoes I could fit into that got onto two rows of this organizer. There is so much space. Very pleased. Easy to put together.

This shoe rack is great, but does not hold 36 pairs unless you have very small feet. Smaller shoes like sandals might fit 3 pairs across, but anything else would fit about 2.5 pairs on a row. I¡¯ll also mention that any taller pairs of shoes, like high tops or boots, don¡¯t fit vertically and have to be inserted sideways, which isn¡¯t a big deal in my opinion. It was easy to put together, especially using a drill to make tightening the bolts much faster. I have mine hung on the back of a door and it seems pretty steady while opening/closing (does not wobble). It does stick out about 7.5 inches or so, so make sure you have enough room to close the door fully. I had to shift some things around in my closet to make space for the door to shut completely.

Quality product that I could assemble alone. What I would recommend being aware of: make sure the original “top” tag is facing you and a 2 sided stiky square the depth of the top of the closet door or smaller was necessary to stop movement when closing the door. Also, I am in an apartment w/2 closet doors, so both have to be closed at the same time if that’s your goal.

Super easy to assemble¡ªeverything you need is right in the box. At first, it felt a little wobbly, but once you load it up with shoes, it really balances out and holds steady. It fits a surprising number of pairs without feeling overcrowded, and best of all, the door still closes smoothly with it hanging on. If you¡¯re looking for an affordable way to get your shoe chaos under control, this is a top option.

Assembly was a bit of a chore, but once together it’s been great. I put smaller things like winter hats and gloves in the top, and even infrequently used high heels and boots in the bottom. I bought it to supplement my tiny closet but can think of other uses if I had more doors.

Amazing organizational tool for our shoes. Hangs over the closet door and does not keep the door from shutting

Best over foot shoe organizer I have ever had. This is sturdy and holds a LIT of shoes! Great value for the money! Functions well. I¡¯m sure it¡¯s versatile to hold other items but Zi desperately needed something for my summer sandals and open toe shoes. Makes my closet look great!

This thing looks nice, has a quality build, and holds up heavy size 13 leather boots without faltering. Assembly was very easy and straightforward. I think the hinges on the door will go before this does.
