Seriously i don’t want to post a novel but i feel like i need to in order to explain my love for this machine. For starters.. the “smartwash” name is not just some marketing strategy. This machine really is smart. Recently my dog had “episodes” in my bedroom. He peed on my bed (like a full days worth of pee) and he had diarrhea in 3 spots on my floor. I noticed when cleaning the 3 spots versus the rest of my carpet more detergent dispensed. You can tell because while the brush is scrubbing you see the suds. That to me is simply amazing. The machine knew how much to dispense in every part of the carpet based on the mess underneath. Moving on to why this is literally the best machine. I got a new kitten 6 months ago and ever since she’s been using a particular spot in my living room as her personal litter box. My house smelled TERRIBLE. So terrible that out of pure desperation i ended up ripping up my carpet, removed the padding, scrubbed the hardwood floor and replaced the original carpet. The smell never totally went away and here is what i tried: vinegar/soap/baking soda solution (about 50 times), Nature’s miracle (twice), Bissell Carpet solution and their rental machine, borrowed a family members carpet cleaner AND had my rugs PROFESSIONALLY CLEANED WITH AN ENZYMATIC CLEANSER. No change. I decided to order the smartwash based off reviews and honestly i thought it was the best looking machine on the market. First thing i did was tackle that spot where my kitten kept urinating. It had a mixture of urine, cleaner, detergent and musty smell after trying so many things. I pre treated with pine sol as recommended by a friend then used the smartwash. Gone. All of the smells and dirt and everything is just gone. The water in the dirty container was almost black it made me sick to my stomach. The next day i went back over the same spot just to remove excess dirt and while there was some, it was clear that the machine did its job the first time around. I was seriously shocked. Everything i went through prior especially professional cleaning should have done what this one machine did. Aside from that it is so simple to use both the machine itself AND the hose attachment. It’s simple push for wet and pull for dry and the carpet is hardly damp once you are done. There is no wet smell no nothing just clean brand new looking carpet. Even taking the front apart to clean was extremely simple. Don’t hesitate like i did and compare prices like i did for weeks. This is the real deal i promise!!!!

This machine did a great job. The only assembly was putting the handle in. Read the manual as it has tips on usage. Pay attention to how the parts fit. There are tabs that fit in slots on the dirty water lid and the brush head cover. There were complaints that it leaked dirty water but that is because they didn’t seat the container properly. It will click into place. No parts needed to be forced on as everything fit nicely. I had no leakage other than what dripped off the brushes.1. Use warm water in the clean water tank.2. Use the concentrated detergent in the detergent bottle. No diluting necessary which is time saving. I managed to clean 3 12’x12’, 1 20’x10’, 1 20’x15’, and 1 10’x10’, and a hallway with the sample bottle and 5 oz. of detergent from the gallon I bought.3. When you are cleaning/rinsing, the machine dispenses soap/water when you push forward. Go slowly but not so slow that you oversaturate the area. It has indicators at the brush head that say “wash” when you go forward. If the area is not a heavy traffic area or soiled then 1-2 “wash” pass(es) was good enough.4. When you are extracting, the indicator will say “dry”. This happens when you pull back over the area. I found that pulling back slower than when you dispensed cleaner/water worked great to get good extraction.5. To rinse, remove the detergent container. This is why I didn’t run out of detergent. Now you only dispense warm water to rinse the carpet. Same operation of slower on the pull to extract than the push to dispense. Do this until the water you see coming in at the brush head looks less soapy. Again, don’t oversaturate the carpet. Probably only need a couple passes.6. Once rinsed, press the “dry only” button near the handle. Love this feature. I spent more time with this than washing/rinsing. Again, slower on the pull. Work the section until you don’t see water coming in at the brush head. My carpets were dry after about 1 hour if you spend time getting it out. I also put a box fan to circulate air to the room when I was done with it. When you are ready to go to the next section, press the “dry only” button again to disengage it and re-insert the detergent bottle. It will reset when you turn the machine off too, but I usually kept it on and kept moving unless I needed to empty the dirty water or refill the clean.7. When you empty the dirty container, rinse the whole thing out including the non-removable red screen and lid. Make sure you put the two tabs at the back of the lid into the slots first then close the lid and latch it (see pics). When you put the container back onto the machine, put the bottom in at an angle in the front then push into position (see pic). You did it right when you hear a click. Doesn’t need forcing at all. I had no leaks if it was seated properly and clicked. Also, periodically rinse out the brush head cover. It comes off easily and gets full of hair and lint. The suction will work better if you keep it clean. When you put it back on, align the two tabs near the latch with the slots. (see pics) Drop it in first then push to click. No need to force.8. My unit came with the hose and an attachment for stairs. The attachment has two brushes included. I used the rubber one to help pull up dog hair. The hose reached 7 treads. The head has a trigger to spray soap/water. Same operation-spray detergent onto carpet (I was able to do 3 treads at a time with my reach). Drawback is trudging back down the stairs to remove the detergent container to rinse. Spray water while suctioning a few times then just suction. It did a very good job. Had to move the machine to the landing to finish but not a big deal. If a problem for you or you have more treads than it can reach, then a handheld small cleaner may be better.9. Clean up was very easy. Rinsing out the containers, removing the brush head cover and brushes was a snap. Let it all dry before storing and it will be ready.10. Lastly, a back-saver tip. Keep the area’s you’re cleaning to about 3 feet of reach in front and as wide as you want by moving left or right. Don’t overextend forward. Pull while standing up straight not bending your back. This is a slow process. It’s nice that I now have a machine and can keep up with it more regularly than the “once a year “ rental.

I consider myself somewhat of a Hoover Steam Vac expert. I think I have owned damn near EVERY machine these people have put out by way of steam vacs. This one, by far has the BEST set up. My steam vacs tend to last about 5 years… but man o man, I use them to death! I have a little dog, and my kids all have dogs. And well, when you have a dog, your bound to have accidents. The latest purchase on Nov 21, 2023 is again the pet vac…What I Love:1.) Easy to clean. ★★★★★ (Nov 21, 2023 – still true and even better with the removable brushes and the new crap catcher basket in the dirty water tank. NO MORE BREAKDOWN OF THE SCREENS!)Let’s face it. The older models are a colossal pain in the a$$ to keep clean. This one comes apart and rinses with ease. The grimy sand and silt from the carpet do not have to be left in place to harden into sludge cement. And the screen – easily available to keep clean RIGHT IN THE CATCH TANK. #genius2.) Double brush bars. ★★★★★ (Nov 21, 2023 – Still TRUE!)These cleaned my cut loop and Berbers like a d-r-e-a-m. And to be clear, my Berbers are over 24 years old (now a few years older). My cut loop is almost 15 years old. Not to worry I am working on new flooring in the very near future, but this did breathe a ton of life back into them.I was skeptical at first with the bars. I thought it would be two more bars that I would have to wrestle out of place … I have two small dogs (now ONE dog, and only 6.5 lbs). Can I just say, there wasn’t a hair on the bars? Yeah… not one. So I may, or may not, update this in the future. But so far, WOW. #stillskeptical3.) The soap, clean water, and catch tanks are easy to lift out, and put back in. ★★★★★ (Nov 21, 2023 – STILL TRUE)This is where I think they hit it out of the park. In the past, if there was an issue with the soap tank, I had to replace the whole thing. I thought it would smoke through the soap lickety-split. It didn’t. IDK why but I love them being onboard independently.4.) Detachable housing ★★★★★This is a nod to item one… this also lifts out and rinses easily giving open access to the brushes and the grim within it that can be easily wiped away with a rag. They were thinking when they did this. #genius☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ THE CONS ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆Now let’s talk about the cons.1.) The Suction. ★★★☆☆ – I am bumping this to FIVE stars!!! ★★★★★I’m going to say this sucks a whole lot more than the last one, and in a very good way. Definite improvement! It’s average. I find it hard to believe that Hoover can’t come up with a motor that has amazing suction that won’t weigh a ton and will withstand the corrosive ability of water and metal. Is the suction bad? No. Is it great? no. Could it better? I think so. A lot better. It doesn’t do anymore or less than my past machines.Although it says dry, what it really means is it ain’t pukin’ any more water into the carpet. It does have an onboard button where you can run the suction only with no water. That feature is one I will use a lot. So, its an option. Good stuff!2.) The cord. ★★★☆☆ Still the same. IDK why they can’t put a longer cord…another 5 feet would be nice.Although I feel like this cord is a bit longer than the last model I purchased and still use, I want to ask “Is there a cord shortage in the world?” Put a freakin cord on the machine. A long one. 20′ – 25′ at a minimum.☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ The Conclusion ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆I have tried Bissels, and other brands. Hoover for me is the go-to Steamer just because its made sturdier. Bissell is cheaply made and not made to last. I have never had any luck with them. I won’t even give ’em a go anymore. This machine performed as I expected it to. It did not out-perform any of the past Hoovers I have owned with the exception of one. (THIS IS NO LONGER TRUE! This one out performs!) I expected a damp carpet, and it was damp when I was done. In Minnesota, I will steam carpets in the winter just to add humidity to the air. So this is not a deal-breaker for me.Where it shines for me, is the ease of keeping that sucker clean which should equate into longevity. The weight of the machine is light – I have an incredibly bad back and this is doable. The brushes did a fabulous job of really working the stains and pulling them up (I hate the circular brushes – cleaning them out was a huge pain.)Would I recommend to a friend? Yep, I would. Would I buy again? Yep. For me the price point was good. I have paid as much as $400 for a machine back in the day. These machines have allowed me to extend the life of my carpets throughout the years.☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ Recommendation ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆I do have ONE recommendation… I would like to see Hoover put a MOLD warning on their machines and offer a mold solution so folks don’t get sick. I have been de-molding my house for a few months now, and have seen great health improvements – especially to my blood sugar, and cognitive function. We replaced the carpeting in our bedroom and discovered a mold farm in the subflooring so now all of it is coming out, and we will seal the subflooring.Hoover, be responsible… care about your consumers, and offer a product that will safely kill ALL mold as folks clean – or better yet, just put it into your shampoos. I now add mold killer to every tank of water I put down. I’m not giving up my little dog… and my hubby won’t give up the carpet in our bedroom or family room. The solution – tell people how to prevent mold from growing in the subflooring of their home so they don’t get sick.Still a devoted customer from Hutchinson MN.

Okay.. So, I’ve been cleaning my carpets and writing this in my head while I did it. I hope I can accurately convey how much I LOVE THIS MACHINE!!PROS:- There is a separate compartment for the soap and the water. That way, if you get distracted and the water turns cold, you don’t lose the soap too.- All of the containers are clear, so you always know how much soap and water you have left.-You also get to see the dirty water container and it’s super cool to see the grossness that is being sucked up and you’ll know when it’s full. Although it’s really big, so it will take a bit to get it full.-All three compartments pop in and out easily for dumping/refilling.- There is a front, plastic, clear suction panel that sits above the brushes. You can see the gunk in there and know when to pop it off and clean it out. Gross, but easy to clean and pop on and off.-There are two cool lights, Green “Wash” and Blue “Dry”. When you push, the green “Wash” light appears, as it’s dispensing the soap. When you pull it forward, the blue “Dry” light comes on and that’s when you see it sucking up all the gunk.- There is a “dry only” button for those sections that you over treated or cleaned and are just too wet. You can go over and over and watch the water being pulled out (in the clear panel that I mentioned above). You’ll know when you’ve gotten the majority of the water out.-Super lightweight and easy to use.- I actually cleaned my bedroom carpet while I was waiting for a pizza to cook, on a Tuesday night. I did my family room during my lunch break on a day I worked from home, while my lunch was heating up.. seriously. THAT easy!-I ran out of pre-treat and have dog’s urine stains on the carpet. I didn’t feel like running to the store, and I wanted to see.. Even without it, the carpet looks amazingly better. There are areas that I will go over a second time once I get the pre-treat. That’s with any carpet cleaner though.- I’ve always used a professional cleaner or gotten a big green Bissell at Lowe’s. This thing is so much better. Why? because I didn’t have to lug anything huge around. I don’t have a certain time to return it. I can pull it out of my garage any time I want, easily.. And I don’t have to move all of my furniture out of the way for a professional. It’s already paid for itself in my mind. And, the clean is just as good as the Bissell and pretty close to what a professional can do.- My 19 year old son and his friends took turns doing the living room because it was “fun”.. well, not fun they said, but very satisfying. You’ll see.. it’s so cool!I honestly can’t think of any cons… A couple of notables though:- I saw a review before I bought it (thank you all) that said something about there not being the ability to spray if you want more soap on an area. I was a little worried about that.. But, you can just go forward longer or super slow and it will continue to spray the soap. It’s really no big deal.-I did just receive it, so I can’t speak to the durability of it. I did purchase the protection plan, based on reviews, just in case. But it does seem extremely durable!I am EXTREMELY happy with this purchase. I feel confident you will be too! Happy Carpet Cleaning!

I wanted to love this machine. Let me tell you about my lifestyle. I have 4 dogs, 2 cats, a teenage son and a dirty work boot wearing man of the house. I like things clean. I’m talking shampoo carpets every weekend clean. Because with that many pets, there is sure to be an accident that didnt get discover upon my arrival home from work. So I use my shampoo machines alot. No joke. Alot. And every black Friday I treat myself to a new shampoo machine. Well this was my pick for this year. So excited that I eagerly greeted the delivery guy as soon as he pulled into the drive. Putting together was a snap. Literally just snapping the handle into place. First use was AMAZING!!! It got out a stain that I had been having a losing battle with for over a month. If my family wasn’t in the room, I probably would have hugged that machine. Rolls forward smoothly and evenly distributed the water and solution. Pulling back for drying was a great experience because you can feel just how strong the suction power is. And have a button that allows for just drying was a blessing. Nothing better than having the ability to soak up left over water where I over worked the bad areas in the carpet. Also knowing I could use that feature to suck up any pee spot that may be further down the carpet fibers or padding was a huge plus. Makes pre treating the carpet so much easier. Week goes by and I break out the machine again. Do the living room. Take it upstairs and to all 3 rooms and hall. Still loving it. I decided that this was probably one of the best machines I have ever owned. And then Christmas Eve rolls around. Since this thing has amazing suction and trying power I knew that despite it being late evening, it would be dry and fresh for the Christmas festivities. Plugged my new bestie in and got through half the livingroom before the brushes stopped rolling. It was an awful clunking and clicking when you pushed forward. The bars were trying to roll and just were just kind of jumping every now and then. Then I pulled it back and it turned into an even worse squealing sound. I turnes it off. Took the brush bars out and made sure nothing was in gunked up. Like I said- I like things clean. So the machine got cleaned after each use. So I was not shocked to see that the brushes were clean and found zero hair or debris. Not sure what happens. I made sure the bearings were rolling and not gunked up. Those too were fine. I put it all back together and have ot another shot. Same thing. No roll. I sat on the floor pushing it to see if anything looked out of place. Took the bars back out and tried to spin the little spindles that the bars attach to and they kept locking up. I could not freely spin them without it locking up after ever couple spins. So the issue had to be something inside. Not sure if ot was a belt or what and I wasnt going to take the thing apart to find out. It was less than a month old, third time being used and 200 bucks. Since inwas sitting on the floor it just seemed appropriate to get a bit misty eyed. Yes I shed a tear over this machine. I wanted to love it. My money down the drain. My other half suggested I contact NiceShine and see if they would exchange it, since it was under 30 days. With mixed emotion of anger, frustration and heartbreak I called. The customer service was more disappointing than the shampoo machine. 52 minutes on the phone. Yup on the night of Christmas Eve I spent damn hear an hour on the phone about this machine. First rep says its under 30 days and I can box it up and send it back for exchange. Ok cool, but I no longer had the box. So as she has me on hold I’m price checking home stores to see how much a cardboard box to send it back in will cost me. In case your wondering 18 bucks and change. She gets back from putting me on hold and I ask if they can just send me the replacement machine and I can just use the new box to send the old machine back in. She wasnt sure and outs me on hold again. But only she disnt come back. She transferred me to tech support. Where I had to explain my problem and work with him for about 40 minutes on trouble shooting the machine. I’m not an idiot. I know when something is broken. So that part of the experience was annoying but I did as I was told thinkong he would help me. Nope. 52 minutes later between both reps just to be told to contact Hoover when they open back up day after Christmas. At this point I was more disapointed in NiceShine’s service than I was knowing my money spent on this machine was just in the wind. At this point it was 10pm on Christmas Eve and I had a half clean livingroom, and a dead machibe and was honestly pissed at the outcome of my phone call. I called right back, ready to fight. Got a super nice rep who listened to me complain about everything I went through during my 52 minute call. In little to no time at all he assured me that since it was under 30 days they would cover it and I wouldn’t need to deal with Hoover. He emailed me a return label and instructed me to put the broken machine in the box of the new machine once recieved. Easy!!! Wish I had gotten that rep the first time. Now back to the machine. New one came today. I used it. Seems fine. I want to love it again but after doing some digging around at other reviews, this seems to be pretty common issue. So I’m fearful to get to attached. Time will tell.

This is a wonderful carpet cleaner that I end up using a couple times a week.Between the normal messes adults make (spilling food/drinks/tracking dirt in the house) to having a dog with muddy paw prints 🐾, dog accidents & vomit, and to having a baby who spits up & drops baby food… this is a LIFE SAVER!We do try our best to keep the carpets clean and wipe the doggy paws before she comes inside but IT HAPPENS. And when it does, I get this right out and it all comes right out! I don’t wait to use for red/orange food stains or for dog poop stains but I have waited on mud, spit up, etc. And it comes out even a few days after it happened. Also the house we live in has really old carpets that had so much dirt caked in them and after using this I could tell a noticeable difference. I proved the difference when I took the Christmas tree and tree shirt down and saw the round ring from where the tree skirt had been when I carpet cleaned around it! Haha! It pulled up so much dirty water and embedded human & dog hair that I was AMAZED.Also, this unit is SUPER EASY TO CLEAN! Which is a very important thing for me. All the pieces that could need cleaned come apart and go back together easily and quickly. All the pieces can be taken to a sink to rinse/empty/fill. I like especially that the rollers are easy to take out and clean when I need to (not every time – mostly cuz of dog hair).I have not tried this on stairs as I don’t have any but plan to try the stair attachment on some furniture maybe. If so, I may update this portion of the review.I’ve used a few types of carpet cleaners that you can rent at HEB or other grocery stores like the Little Green Machine and others and found this to be way superior! The rental ones are a hassle to do the rental and paperwork, pay EVERY TIME you want to rent, lug it to your car, house, upstairs (if you have), back to car, back to store all within a certain time frame. This one is much lighter (especially when empty – so if not strong then either empty clean & dirty water tanks before transporting/carrying upstairs or remove tanks and make a second trip for them) but it’s not terrible even with both tanks full vs heavy empty rental one. Also rental is not see-through so I couldn’t tell when clean and dirty water were empty/full. And for cleaning the rentals it was super difficult especially on the underneath part to remove dirt and hair it was so terribly gunked up. Don’t think I ever did get it fully clean before returning rental. With This one I can see the levels of all 3 tanks (dirty, clean, and solution) as well as seeing the bristles so I can see if there is dog hair blocking the suction valve (which doesn’t happen often and more so if I don’t regular vacuum first & it’s been a while & there’s LOTS of dog hair) BUT I can see it! And it has an “auto shut off” for the suction so when the dirty water tank is full it won’t suck up any more water. You’ll hear a sound like a suck and then a small pop as if u sucked up something big like a tissue and at that point you gotta stop and empty/rinse it out or you’ll be wasting time achieving nothing.I Do love also the dry-only button so when I do the section of whole floor I turn that button on and go over it all again which helps the floor to dry much much faster and actually pulls up just a bit more dirt. The floor doesn’t get warm or hot with the heat dry, it just is drier than not having that feature. There is not a way to target select stain spots on the flor for extra cleaning solution but my solution to this is to either 1- use a pre-treatment spray on the area or 2- pull the unit back and forth extra super slow over that area so more water and solution gets applied vs my moderate speed on test of floor. Has worked for me so far even with 15-30 year old dingy, dirty, stained, matted carpets. They looked And smelled fresher, cleaner, And brighter after even one use!Highly recommend for all people with carpet but especially those who are messy, have pets, and have babies/kids. I know we will love having it especially for dog and child vomit when they end up getting it on the carpet inevitability so I don’t have to deal with that up close and personal! 🤣

First of all, let me say that I really like this carpet cleaner. It does a great job and features great suction. We live in a multi-dog home and a good carpet scrubber is a daily necessity. The only reason I deducted a star in the rating is that certain elements of the unit’s design need more thought and keep this from being perfect. One element is the power cord. It’s designed to come up the back and attach to the top of the handle with a small plastic clip molded into the rear surface of the handle. This is stupid and inadequate. The clip distorts and the cord falls out after about five minutes of use. After having to hold the cord with my “handle hand” as well as the slack with my other hand, I finally resorted to attaching the cord to the top of the handle with “duct tape” to use the cleaner efficiently. Perhaps this was the result of “giving the design intern a shot” or it saves a penny over ten thousand units or something silly like that, but in actuality, it only makes using the cleaner a pain in the ass.Another design element that gets in the way of a perfect rating is that there is no good way to hold and dump the waste bucket. There is no handle or grip and there is no spout or flat area to facilitate easily pouring out the contents. Again, not a deal-breaker, but it shows a lack of attention to detail that makes me question the longevity of the unit. The other problem I have with this cleaner is the “gimmick” of having the cleaning solution automatically come on when you push the cleaner forward and turn off when you pull it back. While that works fine, it kind of makes it harder to use the machine when you have to consciously “turn off” the spray by pushing a button on the handle if you don’t want to dispense cleaning fluid. It seems good at first, but with use, you soon realize that this is just a “feature” included by the marketing department to solve a problem that doesn’t exist rather than an upgrade to the user experience. The reason 99% of the other carpet cleaners have a trigger to dispense the cleaning solution is that the arrangement “just works”.All things considered, this is a great unit and I would buy it again if it wears out…provided the design problems cited above are not indications that other design issues are present “under the hood” which impair its longevity. I’ve had this cleaner for about six months and given it a pretty good workout. It has great suction, does a superb job of cleaning the carpets. It even does a pretty good job on the tile floor in our kitchen and laundry room–even though the unit was not designed to do that.UPDATE: Just like I thought, there seems to be a problem with this unit that manifested itself shortly after posting this review. The carpet brushes stopped spinning and the unit “squeals” when operating. So disappointing! I would still give this unit two stars because the suction is so good.I wasn’t expecting much, after reading some of the other reviews, but I contacted Hoover customer service to tell them that I purchased a carpet cleaner in August ’19 and the brushes stopped spinning and I wanted warranty service on the unit.I asked if there was a service center near me where I could drop the unit off to be fixed. The person on the other end said that the service centers don’t repair products (which kind of made it sound like I was going to have to pony up for shipping the unit in) but if I gave them my name, address, email addy, etc. they’ll send out a replacement and a label to ship the defective unit back.I was pretty surprised by this. I even asked if they meant replacement parts or a replacement unit, and was assured that it was a replacement unit… and it was already on the way. Because of this unexpectedly good customer service, I’ll add on that fifth star and give them a perfect rating!

I purchased my Hoover Smartwash direct from NiceShine on Black Friday last year. (For some reason NiceShine hasn’t tagged my review “verified purchaser”!)This Smartwash deep cleans fairly well but it did more harm than good insofar as it dispersed the odor associated with a pet stain. In addition, I have encountered more trouble using this “easy clean” model in comparison to an older Hoover Spinscrub. The main drawback is the various parts that come apart and are easily damaged or lost. The rubber gasket that keeps the cleaning solution from running out got separated from the outer plastic cap and, being that it was lodged in the neck of the cleaning solution bottle, it made it so I couldn’t fill it. Trying to pry the gasket out and then figure out how it was supposed to integrate with the exterior cap was a nightmare that required a tremendous amount of hand strength. Today I went to use my Smartwash and, having just filled the clean water reservoir, I lifted it out of the sink the entire contents began emptying on my floor as I began moving toward the vacuum. I quickly flipped it over and found that a stopper-type piece was missing from the bottom pass-through. (As an aside, the exploded parts diagram in the manual is so badly illustrated that it is useless. I had to use Google to view images of this reservoir before I could confirm that a part had indeed gone missing.) Perhaps I will find it laying in my garage somewhere but my fear is that this stopper may have gone down the drain as I was filling the clean water reservoir (in which case I may have plumbing problems!). Until I find it, the machine is unusable. (This after I already sprayed more than one kind of pre-treatment on my carpet stains that have made my house smell like a chemical factory!)As to the drying feature, the heat application is questionable. In all honesty, I don’t know if it is applying any heat at all. It still takes my carpets about 5-8 hours to dry depending on how much I go over the same area to get it clean. As best I can tell, even when switched to the “dry only” mode, the suction that removes the liquids from the carpet primarily operates when the machine is pulled backwards, which is consistent with how it works in cleaning mode (forward is wash, backward is dry). The water is not heated by this unit so if you want hot water you have to fill it with hot water yourself. (Advertising non-existent “heat” seems to be a common ploy among carpet shampooers.) On this unit there is no spray trigger and there is no rinse-only setting. If you don’t want soap dispensed, it’s necessary to remove the soap dispensing bottle. After adopting a new dog in May, I had occasion to use this with a fresh (not dried) pet stain that I pre-treated with pet stain remover. The urine smell ended up all over my bedroom carpet and two months later, despite two attempts to remove it, I still smell it. (Rather than pulling the odor up, it just distributed the still-wet urine around the room despite having attempted to spot clean it beforehand.) Perhaps this is unavoidable but no matter if I pre-treat or use the Hoover pet shampoo, pet urine stains eventually reappear on my carpets. (The few I have managed to permanently remove required multiple attempts with numerous combinations of products to spot treat the area.)This machine is certainly lighter weight and easier to clean than the old Spinscrub model but it also seems to be more finicky about how parts go back together. While using the machine, I have had occasions where I have emptied the dirty water reservoir and not had my suction restored. On one occasion it took me resetting the reservoirs about four times before the suction finally kicked in.Much of my home has wood-look laminate, which is the reason I went with this Smartwash upgrade — in the hope of having less puddling beneath the machine when I pause to empty out the dirty water or to refill the clean water reservoir. My hand-me-down Spinscrub had begun leaking quite badly on the floor whenever I “parked” it. This new one doesn’t leak as badly but I was nonetheless frustrated to find that it still drips enough to create a hazard for my floor lifting. Every time I use this carpet shampooer on my area rugs I have to chase it with a old towel because it leaves the edges of my floor and the thresholds to my carpeted bedrooms far too wet.All in all, I think the Smartwash design is overrated. It takes twice as long to wash and dry the carpet because you’re washing and drying simultaneously. My impression is that this unit puts down too much water too fast and that without the reverse “dry” function, it would be apparent just how badly it is saturating the carpets. It takes forever to dry the carpet given the lack of heating and the fact that the suction is only really effective when the unit is pulled backward — meaning only about 50 percent of your arm movements counts toward drying. On a positive note, I appear to have been spared catastrophic failure. (Reviews elsewhere have reported the rollers binding up, possibly due to corroded bearings, after which the non-replaceable belt burns up.)In conclusion, I think I would like this unit a lot more if the parts that attach to the plastic reservoirs would not separate improperly, fall off or get lost. Hoover never seems to have spare parts for this model stock so in damaging the rubber gasket on the cleaning bottle and losing the rubber stopper that keeps the clean water from running out of the bottom of the reservoir, I am forced to replace the entire receptacle, not just the part I need (and even used on a well-known auction site, the parts aren’t cheap). Negatives aside, it does seem to deep clean the carpets rather well judging by how much blackened wastewater it pulls up.Update:I reduce my review from two stars to one based on this Smartwash nearly electrocuting my spouse today.I bought this on Black Friday 2019. It has been used about seven times to clean carpet in my home. I don’t have wall-to-wall carpeting so I would say that the amount of use on this has been moderate, at best.. Today it began to throw sparks while I was standing on wet carpet in bare feet because the electric cord worked it’s way out of the back of the unit and had become partially detached (the first symptom was that the motor was cutting out intermittently). I called in my spouse who immediately went to try to push the electric cord a quarter of an inch back into the unit while it was “off” due to the electricity cutting off the motor, only for it to roar back to life and begin sparking just in time for me to shout “STOP! It’s plugged into the wall and the carpet is wet!” (electricity + arcing + water, probably not a good combination!).This product should not have become an “NiceShine Choice”! When you look closely at the manufacturer ID plate affixed to the unit you will see it is not manufactured by Hoover but for Hoover by a Chinese conglomerate. I expected, based on other reviews, that there could be problems with the rollers binding, the bearings stripping out and the non-replaceable belt breaking — because that seems to be the main route of failure with this model per web reviews — but to have an electrical problem with the cord was completely unexpected (hadn’t snagged the cord on anything either). The only thing I can speculate to for the cause of the cord working loose internally is because the cord mounts right next to the hook where you wind the cord for storage. Simply winding the cord around the hook was enough to put strain on the connection and work it loose over time. Winding the cord too tightly around the hook might be a case of “user error” but it should not be *easy* for a hardwired electric cord to detach internally and begin to dislodge, posing an electrical/fire hazard.Hoover needs to perform their own manufacturing, instead of allowing third party manufacturers to use their branding, and relocate production to the United States, Mexico or elsewhere in North America. This isn’t the first time an NiceShine-based purchase has posed a serious safety hazard. Last year, an egg cooker I purchased on NiceShine without any warning arced all the way back to my electrical outlet where it fried a Belkin surge protector and the outlet itself, nearly sparking an electrical fire — after which I had to call an electrician and pay a hefty bill for an emergency call (to ensure no smoldering was going on elsewhere in my home wiring). I’d pay more to get a North American-built product. Is Hoover ever going to build one again?

First off, let me just say, I was a bit skeptical to buy this because it is definitely more expensive than your other carpet cleaners. But, I kept seeing glowing reviews about how clean it gets the carpets. And how it looks better than even a professional can do. And there were also, a few complaints that worried me such as bearings in the spin brush is being made of steel and rusting and other minor complaints. I can tell you after cleaning carpets for one day in my house, That this cleaner is beyond what I ever thought a steam cleaner at this price point could possibly do! I did the initial first pass in one of our more higher traffic areas which would be the kitchen leaning into the dining room as well as our backyard. From the angle I was at, it looked really good but once the sun hit it, and you walked around, it was literally mind blowing results! I almost couldn’t believe what I was seeing. And to our amazement, it also actually MAKES the carpet smell good! Not that pungent smell of water and old dog pee. It also brought all the fluff out that we do though was long gone! Also understand, we have been in this house for almost seven years. And I am not Certain that it was even new when we moved in. So it could potentially be 10-year-old carpet. And this home, also houses six kids from ages 6-13 and my wife and myself not to mention including our dog, Jorah. But I can definitely tell you that this is absolutely worth every single penny you spend on it. We purchased this cleaner, also with the Hoover renewal deep clean and restore solution which I am quite fond of because I truly do believe it deeply cleans as it says it will and I think that it is paired perfectly with this machine. There are a few negatives, that I can express but they are minor. When we received our cleaner in the box, We went to go assemble it and could not seem to get the handle released to work. Frustrated and out of ideas of what to do thinking that maybe they had put a zip tie to lock it while in transit or something. But, to our amazement, we actually ended up finding a random factory screw lodged underneath the step handle. Which also is kind of concerning because it makes you wonder if it’s a screw that they forgot to put somewhere. However, upon further investigation, it looks like all screws were in position, and tighten to what appears to be factory spec.Another minor complaint is that near the suction part of the cleaner, or I guess I could describe it as being focused near the ribbed tube that goes into the dirty water holder? Anyway, there is quite a bit of dirty black water that shoots up from underneath the cleaner as it basically has a pass-through design that separates the bottom part of the cleaner to the upper solution container part. Or the “handle area“. Behind the cleaner, there is a very powerful fan that blows hot air down to the carpet to help generate a faster dry time but, unfortunately somehow, the dirty water gets sucked back behind the machine, and the high power fan blows it back up through the pass through area I described earlier. It makes a mess all over the suction and swivel area. Which is really more just not aesthetically pleasing and kind of annoying more than it is a giant issue. Other than that this machine definitely blew away any sort of expectation and I ever could conceive in my mind. I have even seen professional cleaners come in to my home and not do this good of a job to where I had to take the time to write a review about it and take photos LOL I would definitely buy this machine again if this one ever decides to ‘kick the bucket’

This carpet cleaner is really a miracle for pet owners. There are many things to love about it. Here are a few:1) It has amazing suction. Even after doing a thorough vacuuming before using the Hoover, it picks up so much hair. When I dump the dirty water container, I have to use a filter on my sink drain so all that hair doesn’t go into my disposal or pipes. We have two dogs, a cat, and two long haired adults and it does a great job getting ALL the hair up without clogging the works!2) You can set the cleaner on “dry only” so you can do an additional pass over your cleaned carpet to pull up any residual water. This helps your carpet dry in just a few hours. This is a great feature.3) It doesn’t leak all over. Both the clean water and dirty water containers are well designed so they don’t leak as you walk to the sink to refill or dump dirty water. When you’re finished cleaning your carpet, wheeling the machine back to doesn’t leave a trail of water.4) There is a separate small container for your cleaning solution that automatically mixes with the clean water. That way you can return the left over solution to its original container to avoid wasting it. My old machine you mixed the solution in the water and whatever was left over went down the drain.5) The entire machine is soooo easy to clean. The dirty water container has a small filter to catch hair and fibers, but there aren’t any nooks and crannies that you have to spend time trying to clean. Just rinse and swirl and it’s all clean. There is a clear plastic lid over the beater brushes that is super easy to remove and clean. There are some places that capture hair, but they are easy to get to with a pair of tweezers or a pipe cleaner. Again, it’s a rinse and swirl. Then you can easily pull up the brushes and clean them in the sink. Even with all the hair and fur in our house, there was very little hair in the brushes themselves. Two seconds and they were clean. Then, once you’ve pulled and cleaned those pieces, the undercarriage of the cleaner is exposed and you can use a microfiber or paper towel to clean there. Reassembly is a total breeze and the machine looks brand new.6) The most important feature of this Hoover carpet cleaner is that it does a REALLY good job of cleaning the carpet. My carpet smells and looks like new and the strong brushes lift the carpet fibers up, but don’t damage them. The whole experience is more like regular vacuuming than cleaning your carpet, which is a task I’ve always dreaded.I have been using my Hoover regularly for two years. Not one single issue or concern. Thank you Hoover for designing such a great carpet cleaner. I don’t have a single complaint or wish that something was different. It is perfectly designed and makes the job of cleaning carpets efficient and effective (even fun!). I love it!

My carpets take on two little kids, living on a farm, a husband that doesn’t take his boots off, and an indoor black lab. I had always just spot treated but wanted a carpet cleaner that would be quick drying and easy to get out regularly. The last carpet cleaner I borrowed from my MIL soaked the carpet and took days to dry since it didn’t have enough suction to pull the water out. This one glides so easily and I was able to clean two rooms within an hour. Granted, I emptied my rooms and moved everything to get a deep clean since this was the first time in a long time these floors had been cleaned, so regular maintenance and cleaning should not take that long. I will definitely be doing this on a monthly basis now with how easy it was.I really like not having to control a trigger, just forwards to wash and pull back to dry. I love the option of the dry only button. My floors were practically dry when I turned the machine off. I had the overhead fan on to help with the rest. My carpets are so fluffy now and look brand new. I have a very light cream flooring that’s pretty high pile. It did great! I would like to stress the importance of vacuuming deeply beforehand. I ran my shark vacuum over everything and was disgusted by how much hair still came out of my carpet while washing it.I would also like to praise how easy the machine is to clean. Takes literally 5 minutes to wash everything out. The roller cover pops off to allow you to clean fur out of the brushes easily. The entire rollers pop out as well and rinse so nicely. I love that the dirty water reservoir is clear as you can be sure you got everything clean.I really also like the ability to pour the leftover solution back into the bottle. There is zero waste this way, and no guesswork or wasted time on mixing up the solution. The Hoover paws and claws 6 oz included cleaner was enough to do one room. Luckily, I had some additional cleaner I had purchased to be able to use on the other rooms, so make sure you also add to cart another bottle of solution.5/5 stars, I’m super happy with this purchase! I splurged on this model and spent more than I would normally to get a good product that would be easier for me to use often. I very rarely write reviews but felt this might help another person like me that pours through reviews before carefully before purchasing. I also caught this on sale for $226.00 and jumped on it.

I’ve been looking for a good shampooer because I have 3 animals (1 dog 2 cats) and the traffic causes my carpets to get dirty and they have little accidents and anyone who personally knows me, knows that I’m pretty anal about being clean and not having a home that smells like animals live in it.Well, my dog peed on my carpet a couple weeks ago and I tried using angry orange (IT SUCKS, literally the orange scent merges with urine and I thought to myself, the only reason they chose an orange scent is because it basically smells like piss! 0/10) and other carpet sprays but I could still see a tint of yellow in the area it happened. So prime day sale came and I made up my mind, it was time to invest in a carpet cleaner. It took me literally both prime days to make a decision because I tend to look at bad reviews for honest reviews and was STRESSED. I also had borrowed my managers Bissel Pet Pro to try to clean the urine stain and it SUCKED. So I absolutely knew I did NOT want a BISSELL machine. The suction was awful and the texture of my carpet still felt stiff and dirty after it had dried. I almost decided to wait on the carpet cleaner because since the Bissell 1 star reviews matched my exact experience I felt like all the carpet cleaners NiceShine had to offer were going to fail me. I mean think about if you don’t like it and have to return it.. They are heavy!! I was dreading the idea of having to do so.With an hour to spare of NiceShine prime day I was like SCREW IT! Let me just get THIS ONE. It seems to have nice features, good deal (got it for $199) and I truly was sold on having the red mat to put the cleaner on once I was finished so I didn’t have to think of something make shift and tacky to put it on.I received it over the weekend and yesterday I cleaned my carpets and WOOOOW. OBSESSED MUCH?!?! ITS SOOOO EASY TO USE. Plus, the spot treatment was a really cool feature. I love how dry my carpet was after I finished. I love the fact that you can push the “dry only” button and go over your floors to make sure there isn’t any excess water on the floor. It was extremely easy to put together and to clean! It’s a little heavy but not worth complaining about. I also love that the solution tank is separate so that you don’t have to potentially waste any product if you don’t use it all! I literally just poured the rest that I didn’t use back into the bottle which was extremely satisfying because it does bother me when I waste product. (its not cheap!). I was raving about it on my Instagram to my followers I was SO excited about the results, how easy it was to use, how much dirt it picked up, how dry my floor was once I finished. I could put my place back together asap! SO SATISFYING!!!!! Mind you, I haven’t even used the additional accessories it comes with yet. I don’t have much input regarding those.I bought the additional shampoos because I didn’t know it came with samples. It will go to good use, I appreciate them adding the spot cleaner sample!! Thanks HOOVER!! Great product 😀

I did a lot of research before settling on this model and I’m glad I did. This does a great job. I bought this instead of the Bissell because: 1) I don’t have to continually push a button to keep the suds going; 2) push forward, it’s cleaning…pull in reverse and it automatically dries; 3) there is a separate button for continuous drying, which stops the shampoo and just pulls up water to dry more quickly; 4) really easy to remove the brushes and clean them; 5) doesn’t use much shampoo; 6) easy to remove and clean all parts; 7) detachable wand for pre-treating tough areas; 8) easy to assemble and start using; and 9) it was $100 cheaper. The 2 things I don’t like are: 1) the cord gets in the way because it’s located very low on the machine so it took me some adjusting so I didn’t trip over it; and 2) when I paused the machine or turned it off while on the carpet, the dirty water or accumulated carpet fuzz would drip onto the carpet so I would have to clean that area again. I learned quickly to put it on the mat when I wanted to turn it off or pause. I have to say that it cleans really well. Our wall to wall carpet was filthy and this did a great job of cleaning many of the spots. I did pre-treat a number of areas with the wand and I also used stain remover spray. It removed most of the water when I put it on dry–it was slightly damp only an hour after I shampooed it. The cleanup was very easy and I was pleased with being able to remove the brushes and clean out all the lint. I had to stop the machine a number of times to clean the brushes but it didn’t take long and was easy to do. The lint accumulates so be sure to clear it regularly or it will end up on the carpet. It doesn’t use a lot of cleaning fluid and I was able to clean our large tv room and only had to refill the water container and empty the dirty water once. All parts of the machine are easily removable for cleaning. I purchased this model b/c we have a Maine coon cat who sheds like crazy and tosses hairballs on to the carpet fairly frequently. I am very pleased with the results. I highly recommend this model.

I owned another Hoover and had it for years until the motor just died. I just bought this model and as my other machine, I LOVE the way it cleans my area rugs. This cleans amazingly well and just as good as my other machine which I loved using. We have 3 cats and I use this every week and it keeps my rugs looking and smelling fresh. What I love about this machine that is much better than my old Hoover, is the spot cleaner. I LOVE THIS FEATURE, because if there is a pet accident you can just lift the spot cleaner right off (it’s in the handle) and spray right on top of the spot without having to use a separate tool. I think that is my favorite part of this model. My only little change I would make if I could, would be for a larger tank (for dirty water), because there is a max line. Once the dirty water hits that mark, the machine makes a very distinctive sound (like you reached capacity) and that’s how you know it’s time to empty the tank. It has a little floating head inside the tank that when the water reaches this mark, you will know to empty. And it has a marked spot on the side indicating that point. Some people have written negatives about how many passes they have to make before a set stain is removed but that is ridiculous. So what? one or two or three passes over a spot is no big deal. Believe me, it will get removed – I’ve been doing this for years with this type of machine. When I use mine weekly, I do two complete passes over the entire rug area. We have 9×12, 8×10 and 4×6 area rugs in my home. I also use the hand held feature to clean my cat window shelves and that works amazingly well too!!! Overall, I would highly recommend this especially if you have pets. I rarely put this machine away and it’s in the corner of my pantry I use it so much!!!! The first time you use this on your rugs, you will get so excited seeing all the dirty water in the tank!!!!!! My tip though, is not to go back and forth too fast – you need to move forward slowly and draw back slowly as well for best results!!!!!!

I bought this on Nov 11, 2023 and paid $249.99 for it from NiceShine (not including US sales tax).Overall recommendation: Buy it, it’ll help between professional carpet cleaningsFirst of all, can NiceShine actually put categories worth rating on the reviews? It just asked me about “scent” and “freshness” and while those might apply to actual cleaning solutions, it does not apply to the machine itself.Pros:- It’s easy to setup- The suction power is good- The tanks are a good size – you won’t be able to do a whole living room without emptying and refilling, but the machine isn’t so heavy when it’s full that it’s hard to move around- This is honestly the best carpet cleaner I’ve owned, which is nice but isn’t saying much when personal-use carpet cleaners are all pretty much garbage. This isn’t garbage, at least.- It works WAY better if you vacuum first, but it’s not 100% necessary and I appreciate that a lotCons- The stain remover wand is a complete waste of engineering. The stream it sprays is very small and thin, so while it does penetrate the carpet well, it takes nearly half the tank of stain remover to cover one spot that’s maybe 6″ (~15cm) square.- The “Dry Only” button is not conveniently located. I wish they’d remove the useless wand thing, permanently attach the handle, and put the button where your thumb is. I use it a lot while cleaning and it would be SO MUCH easier if I didn’t have to bend over and forward to press it.- It’s really hard to clean the edges of rooms when you also have to stand next to the wall. My wrist and arm end up being sore after a while of trying to push the machine up against the floor boards to clean the very edges. I wish it had some sort of power-edge feature that you could activate that would push the machine laterally in the direction you need it.- The dirty-water tank is annoying to empty. The lid has to sit just right to lock into place, and there’s no pour spout or drain hole; you have to just tip it over, which leaves any debris (like pet hair) stuck inside the rim to be rinsed out. Also, the little purple plastic basket that’s meant to be a filter is 100% useless, I’ve never seen anything in it at all.I don’t regret this purchase at all, I just wish the market for personal carpet cleaning machines had higher-end choices that worked really well at doing one thing, as opposed to doing an okay job with lots of “features.” I don’t want features, I want a clean carpet.

It took a long time to do a 12×13 room but I anticipated this. As multiple reviewers recommended, take the time! Prep your area first. Vacuum slowly and thoroughly in at least 2 different directions to pull up loose dirt and hair. Now, with your Hoover loaded and ready, go slow with forward wash, even slower on pullback dry. Rinse out your collection unit as needed and reassemble. Now do a water only rinse, again slow forward and even slower pullback. Rinse out the collection unit if needed and reassemble again. Now follow this with dry only. Set up a fan and walk away for a while. You’ll come back to soft, dry, fluffy carpet again. You need only push and pull. I was shocked at how dirty my carpet was. Cannister after cannister emptied of filthy black water, even after the water rinse, so I really should have gone over it again for a second scrub or maybe even a third if it was still pulling up filth. It was THAT dirty, but as my house was wrecked from my haphazard clearing of the room for cleaning, I was desperate for a return to order and skipped a second scrub session. I put a fan in the room while I stepped out for dinner and returned to dry carpet, soft and fluffy again under bare feet and no smells, despite knowing in the back of my mind that it really should have been cleaned a second time. But I’ll deal with that later. Fact remains, this Hoover is a really good cleaning machine. It pulled up animal stains and ground in dirt in the high traffic area. Yes, I could have had professionals come in and clean that carpet in far, far less time but the wrecked house and inconvenience would have been the same. Plus, as I have elderly animals and that room is high traffic anyway, cleaning is needed frequently now and once I clean the next room, this unit will have paid for itself. So far, this has been a good purchase. Particularly pleasing is to be able to disassemble the head piece and remove the brushes and clear plastic cover to rinse clean. A previous competitor unit I had a few years ago could not be cleaned like that, which was disgusting, and I threw it out after only a couple of uses. This Hoover can be fully rinsed out very, very easily so no stinky, gross, dripping unit to sit in your laundry room. Oh and DO buy extra solution. I did not do this, thinking the sample would be enough for the 2 rooms I planned, and I’ve used up almost that whole bottle just on the 1 room. But then again, I didn’t realize just how incredibly dirty my carpet was either, so that was lack of hindsight on my part, certainly not the Hoover eating up cleaning fluid. If you prefer to skip the cost of professionals and have the patience, you’ll have great results on your floors with this carpet cleaner and like others said, it pays for itself after 2 professional cleanings.

Ok, so this just arrived today and I’ve already used it on my livingroom and hall, entryway. Entry way was the worst. Let me tell you I bought this yesterday afternoon and received it today around noon. I’m super happy too because I needed to get the carpet done before tomorrow due to my grand kids are coming. So thank you NiceShine for fast next day delivery! Now on to the machine. When I got it all set up and ready to go it surprised me because it started moving forward on its own!! It’s very light, when I pulled it out of the box because it was so light I second guest thoughts of the quality of the machine. So the machine moves back and forth so easily not like back in the day where you had to start at one point and then pull backwards and break your back. This machine moves forward and backwards better than my vaccum cleaner! It was so easy to shampoo my carpets and I absolutely love this machine. I like the way the shampoo goes in one compartment, the water goes into another and then the dirty water goes into another. So you don’t have to mix the shampoo yourself therefore you don’t have to worry about putting too much shampoo into your carpet. Smart. The carpet came out better than expected. I also like that it has a dry only button to just pull the water out of the carpet. I have a Rug Doctor and I want to say this Hoover worked better than my Rug Doctor. It says it has heat technology but I’m not too sure how hot it got the water, doesn’t seem like it gets hot. I use the attachment and to spray the solution out worked very good it sprays a lot out, but to suck the solution out of the upholstery did not work at all there’s a lot of room for Improvement there. The only other thing that I can complain about is the cord could be a little longer by about 5 ft or so otherwise excellent machine works very well carpet looks great! Took all the dirt and stains out. I do recommend. You will like it, and your back will thank you. I want to say this is by far the best shampooer I’ve ever owned.

It’s November and buying this vacuum was the best purchase I’ve made all year. I have a senior dog with kidney and stomach issues (pees all the time and throws up), a small dog with the worst smelling pee ever, a new cat, and a husband who tracks in dirt. When we moved in to our house, the previous owners had 3 small children and I genuinely thought the house came with beige carpet.Over time, our carpets became more and more splotchy shades of brown that wouldn’t get clean no matter what I did. I took my mom’s old Hoover spin scrub but it really did nothing for my carpets.Setting up the carpet vac was super easy – everything is a billion times easier than the old spinscrub. Dare I saw fun to use? And best of all? THIS MADE MY CARPETS LOOK LIKE NEW IN ONE PASS! I was absolutely floored. It picks up dog pee like a champ, dog puke in a few swipes, dried-in 5+ years stains too.One caveats: this is the shortest power cord I’ve ever seen on a vacuum. It doesn’t bother me but if you have a larger room it might annoy you.I am incredibly pleased with my purchase (got one used from NiceShine for $196) and it will be replacing my 15+ year old Hoover spinscrubEdit: I forgot to mention some things. I’ve also owned this carpet cleaner for a good few weeks now and I think I’ve thoroughly tested it out.Once a month I deep clean my carpets with a black UV light in complete darkness with my carpet cleaner. This lets me see all the bodily fluids (dog pee, dog puke, cat puke,….) that I can’t see with the naked eye that I might have missed on the original carpet clean. This also gets rid of those lingering smells (check your bathroom floor with the UV light, it’s awful LOL)Every month I just despairingly see more and more green blotches (the color of bodily fluids under UV light). This month though? NOTHING. MY CARPET WAS ACTUALLY CLEAN! I am absolutely floored. I didn’t change the detergent solution from my previous cleans (double concentrate pet urine destroyer). It’s all the power of this Hoover carpet cleaner!I’m also loving the spot wand. I don’t need to track down where I put my bottle of stain and odor remover anymore! I filled mine with natures miracle advanced severe mess enzymatic formula cleaner. The battery was dead on arrival so I did a super easy swap (AAA).Also, apparently my carpets are light grey??? I’m loving it.

I bought this after giving up with the other old Bissell machine we had. It leaked, clunky and not enough suction. The price was fantastic and and the reviews were pretty decent. Had some good features so I bought it! I wasn’t expecting much and always skeptical of reviews here on NiceShine. But WOW! I was AMAZED of how much GUNK I pulled out of the rug with this thing!!! We don’t wear shoes in our house so our rug looks pretty clean although an old rug. It was looking a little dingy though. After ONE cleaning, it brightened it up and it looks great! The water was absolutely nasty and GRAY! I was floored when it removed BLACK INDIA INK out of the rug. You couldn’t see it on the surface but underneath you could see it. It pulled out almost all of it! I thought it would never come out! Seeing all that made me do more of the rugs all over the house. It’s great for spot cleaning too and as I said, as easy to use as a regular vacuum.IT was as easy to use as a regular vacuum cleaner! The water container is on top and easy to fill. The rug soap has its own little container on the back and the dirty water is on the bottom. The suction is great (so satisfying to see all the stuff it sucks up through the clear top!) It pushes out heat to help dry your rug too!You can turn off the wash setting with a button and also take the soap tank off to just wash with water. (If you don’t rinse out any remaining soap in the rug, it tends to attract more dust and dirt.) Also it’s great that the brush heads come out individually so you can clean them. Really easy to take in and out and clean stuff out of underneath as the whole top comes up.The BIGGEST issues is that in the front there will be bits of lint and debris that will get stuck in it and it’s hard to get it out. I ended up using dollar tree pipe cleaners to get them out. Also that the hand tool doesn’t have much of any kind of scrubber brush…just a row of bristles which aren’t good for too much. It kind of has kind of a lame sprayer that sprays underneath the suction. So I had to essentially saturate with the soap button then get another scrub brush first and scrub areas before going back and sucking it up. This being said, it’s not great for stairs. Might be ok for apholstery? If you DO decide to buy this (which you should) I’d suggest you thoroughly vacuum your rug FIRST (Otherwise it will flick out clumps of rug bits, lint and fibers), initially push slowly to help saturate your rug and pull back fast to go over again to get down to the matting of the rug where dirt gets down inside of it. Then turn on the DRY ONLY button and slowly go over it to pull as much water as you can out. Then do it again without the soap tank to rinse any remaining soap left in rug fibers and dry it. Overall though, it’s been excellent! I would definitely recommend it!!

My old Hoover SteamVac finally started to give up after 20+ years. I purchased this SteamWash+ as its replacement. Hopefully, this will provide as many years of service as my old SteamVac.As for my review, I’ll do this in parts comparing the old with the new.Design: The tank system is far superior to the old SteamVac. The shampoo tank is completely separate instead of being glued to the water tank. All of them are far easier to mount or remove from the machine. The volume of the water tanks appears to be slightly less. The brush cover is removable for easy and better cleaning of the unit, as are the brushes.Operation: Far easier than the old squeezer trigger system. Push/pull just like a vacuum cleaner. Because the dirty water tank is smaller, it needs to be emptied and rinsed when doing any larger room. It does not hold the full volume of the clean water tank.Unit Cleaning: Easy to remove the various parts that need to be rinsed or cleaned. Reassembly is just as easy.Note: Make sure you thoroughly vacuum the carpet or rug to be cleaned, especially if you have a pet. Even then, you will see an accumulation of carpet fibers and/or pet hair in the brush cover.1 Issue: The SteamWash+ has some serious vacuum power, actually a good thing for deep cleaning. But, it can pull the hinged flapper valve in the dirty water tank closed as you move the handle to the operating position, even on an empty tank. When it does that, it will not vacuum any of the dirty water out of the carpet. The old SteamVac used a captured float instead. and never had this issue. A redesign might be necessary for the valve in the SteamWash+ tank.

I bought this as a last resort after my little green machine died, and I inherited a very elderly dog who is prone to accidents*. I truly did not think that this would be the answer to all of my problems, however, I figured it would be worth a shot and cheaper than hiring or renting a carpet cleaner every month. When I took it out of the box, it was exceptionally easy to put together. It was lightweight, but I was skeptical as to how heavy it would be when filled with fluid and water. Assembly was easy, but we all know how these carpet cleaning gadgets can be when it comes to emptying and cleaning out the actual machine after using it.Imagine my absolute amazement when I finally decided to tackle the upstairs hallway stains and was more than pleasantly surprised that the machine works beautifully. Not only is it lightweight and easy to maneuver, there is also a clear indicator on the bottom when it is washing and drying, and you can easily set it to dry only mode when you want to get up the excess moisture without having to put more cleaning solution on the carpet.I went over problem spots multiple times, and I was not under any impression that it would get rid of every old stain immediately even with multiple passes. However, I was shocked at how well a job it did considering. One session in half of the bedroom and the hallway (going over multiple problems spots multiple times) just about drained both the water tank and the cleaning solution tank, but honestly, with the amount of carpet I have in my house vs. the cost of renting a carpet cleaner for the weekend, this thing has already paid for itself in my mind. After I cleaned, here comes the bad part: disassembling and making sure that the machine Itself is not disgusting when I’m done. The dirty water tank snapped off super easily, and I was able to empty it in the bathtub with no fuss and no dirty hands. Because I have pets, the area around the scrub brushes was a bit caked with residual wet hair (not embedded in the brushes, mind you, which I was shocked about) but I was easily able to snap the plastic piece off to also clean it in the tub.I no longer go upstairs and feel like I am walking on a giant expensive used pee pad. This even feels like it will be good for small jobs because it is so crazy easy to fill and clean. Maybe even easier than my little green machine.Time will tell if this will continue working as it has from this first time, but for now I am sold. 10/10.*The pup is well, just very old. She has regular vet visits and is on medication, she’s just very blind, deaf, and gets confused as to where she is sometimes. We’ve tried LOTS of things to try to get her not to do this. It’s not her fault, and if I had to live in a giant expensive pee pad to make her last days amazing I totally would! But now I’m glad I don’t have to! 🙂

I probably have saved over $300 by not hiring a carpet service. I bought this so I could clean my entire house, by emptying one room at a time and it worked great. It took longer but I had good results. To prep the room, I removed all furniture. Then I thoroughly vacuumed.Any spots I pre treated with a shop vac. I always try water and vinegar first, and only use a carpet soap product if necessary. Soap residue collects dirt. If I had one disappointment it was this Hoover unit did not clean up spots without additional work. After prepping the room I filled the water tank with hot water. I would clean the carpet with the Hoover as slowly as I could. Once the entire room was done, I rinsed the machine parts and filled the soap container with hot water too. I would clean the room again with only water. I did this mainly to suck up any residual soap. The dirt container would still be ugly water, so a few areas I would do again with just water. When satisfied I put the Hoover on ‘dry only’ and went over the entire room.I like that it is easy to control when water/soap is sprayed in wash mode and when you are only in dry mode. The width of the unit is decent too. I did the hose on stairs and they turned out nicely. My carpet is visibly brighter and I like how the brush spin action has lifted the pile.I would definitely recommend this Hoover carpet cleaner. It doesn’t get five stars because hiring a service is better on stains, but a little bit of work and my whole house is clean, I can use this any time I want for a touch up, and even after spending money on the unit, I have saved over $300 just in the first use.

First, I never leave reviews unless I’m either over the moon with something or absolutely hate it. I bought this to replace my 20-year old Hoover rug cleaner. With multiple large, long-haired dogs, including 3 Saints, I’ve done a lot of rug cleaning over those 20 years. Took the old cleaner out to clean my rugs and found that the three very narrow tubes for solution dispensing and removing were completely clogged with no way to remove and clean them. My husband and I took the machine apart to try to get to them. Couldn’t do it. We had to replace the machine. To my joy, my new Hoover has only one wide hose, easily accessible for cleaning, however, due to its size, I don’t see it clogging. It automatically dispenses and suctions depending on whether you are pushing it forward or pulling it backwards, and it has a button you can push to suction moisture out only. This machine is lighter and easy to fill, empty, and clean afterwards. It does a very good job of cleaning my large rugs and is powerful enough to leave them barely damp when finished. The suction is much stronger than my old machine. We have 4 dogs currently, 2 of which are puppies, and they create their own unique messes. I’m careful to thoroughly vacuum the rugs before cleaning them. Dog hair can and will get caught in the brushes and make a mess.I am severely mechanically challenged. If anything goes wrong with an appliance I have to call my husband. My new machine would not suction the water up after I emptied the dirty water tank. Before he could get to me, I figured out the hanging water depth measurer thing was cockeyed. I straightened it and went on cleaning. That’s about all that can trip you up. I take the machine apart myself to clean it, and it goes back together easily. I highly recommend this carpet cleaner!! My mom always had Hoover cleaning products and I’ve had the same. I love their products! Five stars for everything.

TL;DRThis unit isn’t perfect but it’s an upgrade from my previous unit and the issues are minor compared to the benefits. I would recommend this and more relevantly would purchase it again if I needed a 2nd unit.Long VersionI previously had a Hoover Powerscrub Deluxe that the water pump had stopped working on. Grabbed this unit on a prime day special and have been very pleased with how it functions and the design updates hoover has made between models. I stuck with the hoover brand because I have an assortment of hose attachments that are compatible with this new unit as well.Out of the box assembly was very easy and straightforward. Clich the handle into place and slide the different canisters into their slots. This unit has 3 separate tanks, compared to the previous model which had combined the solution and clean water tank into one piece. Generally you go through 2 water tanks for every cleaning tank. The brushes on the old unit required tools to remove for cleaning, on this new model the brushes just lift out of the vacuum so they can be cleaned much easier. One design choice that puzzles me is draining the dirty water tank is not easy. The previous unit had a drain plug on the tank, so when the tank needed to be emptied, you pulled the plug and then tilted the tank to dump the dirty water out. This new tank design just has a removable lid that also has the handle on it. So when you remove the lid to drain the tank you also remove the handle on the tank. The tank also has a lip around the top edge, which means when you dump it out, inevitably some dirt gets caught under the lip. That said, the old tank had many chambers inside it’s design and was more difficult to rinse completely clean when done using the unit, this new tank is very easy to flush out before putting the unit away. The smartwash feature takes a little getting used to, the previous unit had a trigger to squeeze anytime you wanted it to dispense water/cleaning solution. This unit does it automatically when you push the unit forward. The is a Dry Only button to make it not dispense water, but it is ackwardly located in the middle of the unit. I wish they could have integrated that switch into the handle or put it next to the other foot toggle switches. They improved the design of the suction nozzle as well, it is much easier to see when you are picking up water from the carpet as well as if that water is clean or still dirty. The new unit seems to have a slightly longer cord, but it really need another 10 feet to be ideal. I always added a 25ft extension cord on the old unit for how my areas work out, that way I can route the cord around the perimeter and get the entire area without having to change outlets halfway through the room. My vacuum cleaner has a longer cord on it and that extra few feet makes a ton of difference. This unit seems a little quieter or at least the noise tone is different, the old unit had a slight shrill pitch to it, if you were using it for more than spot cleaning I’d end up putting on a noise canceling headset and listening to music. The previous unit had a switch on the clean water tank to make it dispense just water or a mix of cleaner/water. This unit doesn’t have that feature, but you can just pull the small cleaning solution tank off the unit to do a final rinse pass. Really a nit-pick but worth noting.

First pic is from an area that was cleaned with my handheld carpet cleaner 2 days ago, following a very large diarrhea accident from one of my dogs. I borrowed my sister’s carpet cleaner a while back and I suspected it was not picking up everything when I would deep clean the carpeted areas of my home. The carpet would always remain wet for at least 24 hours after using her carpet cleaner and would always feel kind of tacky (like it did not rinse out the soap). This thing is AMAZING! I did several passes over the same area and then used dry mode only. The carpet is completely dry today and feels “fluffy” again! This is a total game changer if you have kids and pets! I was totally disgusted by everything that came out of the carpet! This machine is also very lightweight compared to others I have used. I love that it has separate tanks for the water and cleaning solution. I also love that it is so easy to use. Dry mode is my favorite thing about this machine. I always worry about the carpet staying wet and possibly getting moldy, so this is definitely a great addition! I love everything about this machine! I don’t have before and after pictures of the carpet, because I did not have any stains and the carpet appeared clean before using! I can’t wait to use this in my entire house!***UPDATE: HAD TO ADD MORE PICS***Cleaned my daughter’s carpet. The before pic is the one with the cleaner in it. I took one swipe and then decided to snap a “before” picture (almost forgot to get it). After pic is the one without the cleaner in it. Two dirty buckets came from her room alone! I am so disgusted. I clean regularly and we keep a clean home. This is the carpet that the home came with when I bought it, so it is very old carpet, but in great condition. I am so happy with my purchase!

There are a lot of online reviews for this Hoover model and also some good YT videos, so I won’t restate what’s already covered online. I will say that I’m especially fond of the drying mode that not only helps remove excess water but also circulates hot air through the carpet pile for a very short drying time (2 hours for my medium height pile). The cleaner head and roller brushes do get pretty funky as the machine extracts everything the vacuum can’t but fortunately Hoover designed these components for easy removal and cleaning. Prepare to be shocked at what comes out of what you might consider to be already clean. The Hoover cleaning solution seemed expensive to me at first, but the machine uses surprising little so it must be concentrated. What the machine does use a lot of is fresh water, I had to refill the tank several times for a normal size living room. That being said, I would prefer that to a larger, heavier tank because this model is light enough to move around in tight spaces and closets with one hand. The engineering on this model I would rate as very good. Plenty of easily readable indicators show what action is being performed in the moment and the clear acrylic head shows everything that is being removed from the carpet. Clean head/ brushes after each use. Take good care of this little gem and it will take good care of you.

I’ve owned 4-5 Hoover carpet cleaners over the past 25 years. One of the best purchases we’ve made to clean up after pets and kids. The last 2-3 have been the PowerScrub Deluxe Carpet Cleaner and I was happy with them. They lasted 5-7 years, which I felt was reasonable given what they do. When the brushes stop spinning on the last one, I upgraded to the SmartWash+ and used it today to clean up dirt stains from our dog who dug a hole in the backyard after two days of rain and then ran through the house. My initial experience with this machine is that it is head and shoulders above the other model. Why? It demostrates new design and engineering that improved upon the previous model. It is easy to use as there’s no trigger for spraying water/solution; it’s automatic. It’s much more efficient. The cleaning solution lasts much longer and the the water tank goes much further. It cleans better. It’s got more brushes that clean better and the carpet looks cleaner than what the other model achieved. The tanks are easier to remove and empty. While the dirty water tank still drips a little when removed from the machine, it’s less than the previous model. It’s also much easier to clean the parts, which is important because doing so means better suction. I’m happy tha I spent the additional $50 for this model; it’s the best one yet.

I had an earlier version of this many years ago. The new one has several improvements: by removing the cleaning solution container, you can rinse after you shampoo. Also, you can dry (suck up moisture) forward and backward by pushing the “Dry Only” button. I really like this because soap residue can attract dirt. Our bedroom carpet was steam cleaned, but I could still see the soiled area between the doorway to our bedroom and the bathroom door. This shampooer completely removed the dirt. I took two area rugs out to my driveway (we have wood floors) and used the shampooer on them and they look new. Between using the “Dry Only” feature and having a nice sunny day, the rugs were back on the floor within 3 hours. You can shampoo on wood floors, but you should put plastic underneath the rug first (it’s in the instructions). The shampooer is also very easy to clean. I can’t say enough good things about it – if I could rate it higher, I would.

I waited to write a review on this machine until I had an opportunity to use it. Overall, I like the machine, but feel there are a few minor adjustments that would make it work better. The first adjustment would be to increase the clean water tank flow a tad bit. In order to even get a “damp” carpet, you have to go over the same spot at least 20 times. Therefore, if you have a deep stain, you have to go over it a minimum of 50 times. The second adjustment would be to decrease the amount of cleaning solution. Because you have to go over the same area so many times to dampen the carpet, the cleaning solution builds up and then causes your dirty water tank to foam up, thereby causing it to stop working. The final adjustment I would make is to the dirty water tank. At times, it is very difficult to get it to line up correctly. With these minor adjustments, I would have given this machine 5 stars.

I really enjoyed having this. I bought it for high pile carpet during a season of life where my dog was at the end of her life and was struggling with getting to outside on time to potty, and with occasional vomit. This is really easy to set up and load, so if you need to deal with messes really quickly you can. I also used it to clean my entire house a few times and it works for that too, although it’s obviously not as effective as an industrial carpet cleaning service. Shampooing and drying the carpet takes a long time, so set aside a few hours to clean a whole room. I like to spot treat discolored areas, then run the machine with soap, then remove the soap cartridge to rise the carpet, then finally I spend some time drying. I like the dry only feature and I prefer to get the carpet pretty dry before I let it air dry.It doesn’t leak if you leave things in it, and you can lay it on its side with some residual liquid inside it without leaking (like if you put it in your car to take it somewhere or something). I also like how easy it is to disassembly and clean. All of the basins and tanks are super easy to take on and off and all have handles for easy carrying. I’ve also had good luck removing the rollers for cleaning. The only area tough to get gunk out of is the clear cover over the rollers. I have decent luck running hit water through it from the sink but really pipe cleaners make it a much easier job. It’s moderately heavy. I’m not strong and it takes a little effort for me to carry but it’s not too big or bulky to move around the house or put up.I don’t use the attachments much but I did clean the stairs with this. I preferred to just awkwardly maneuver the it onto the stairs in the regular configurations. However, the attachments were easy to install and clean and store.I’ve had this for a year now and it’s still working great. I feel like I’ve gotten my money’s worth, and I think this is a great tool for people with pets or kids who might want to address big/colored messes quickly when they happen.

Ive bought the SMALLER hoover carpet cleaner and the handle just kept coming out and it cleaned small stains (not tough) pretty good but the tanks where smaller.I read a previous review who mentioned they had used their mothers Smartwash and it worked wonders for her and so i bought this. The tanks hold a bit more than the smaller sizes. You push forward and the water sprays. You pull back and it dries. The vacuum has a light that tells you WASH or DRY when vacuuming. It doesnt dry completely so keep that in mind. Theres an extra button that says DRY ONLY- even when you use this option your carpet is still semi wet. Ive passed probably 20 times (literally) so i could get as much water out of the carpet.I just loved how good it cleaned. These stains have been on my carpet for a while!!! We live in the country and so mud stains and are inevitable.Do pre treat!!! You will get a better clean. Also, i used OXY CLEAN carpet solution instead of the Hoover solution it came with it.I mixed water and the OXY clean solution in a bottle and used this as my pre treatment.

I ordered this intending to use it on my filthy carpets.Set-up was fast and easy – how I like it.Using it was also easy. The buttons were all comfortably in reach and it successfully lifted the deepest of stains from my carpets. What I liked most was how pushing it forward cleaned the area, while moving it backward dried it. Can’t get any more convenient than that.4 stars because I felt this was a little more work to maneuver than other cleaners. Regardless of that, it’s a worthy product for cleaning your carpets.

Now they don’t sponsor me and I don’t get paid for this review, I’m just a stay at home mom who loves a clean house and has two boys under 3 years old. That along should explain itself lol. I’ve tried lots of carpet cleaners and I’ve never liked them cause either I’d have to leave for 24 hrs cause the carpet was soaking wet or it wouldn’t clean as deep as I’d like and get out the stains. This bad bitty did both, it got out stains and lessened the color of a few and brightened my carpet. It’s super easy to use and put together. And I LOVE how there is a dry only option so when you’re done cleaning you can suck up more water. My carpet is barely even wet afterwards. I also love how the lids to the water and soap bins are on the top so it’s easy to fill and I don’t have to tip over and spill water or soap to put it back into the vacuum. It’s super easy to take apart and clean the whole vacuum when you’re done which I also love so I feel like I can effectively clean each time with a clean vacuum instead of cleaning with dirt and grime and hair still stuck in the brushes . It looks nice and it’s great quality that feels like it’ll last a long time so I’m excited for this!

I am very satisfied with the Hoover Smartwash carpet cleaner. It does takes some usage to discover the best technique to use it.1. The automatic wash mode takes 6 to 8 inches of forward motion to begin. Start a little off the carpet if possible. I moved the unit very slowly forward and back over the entire carpet. No more than a slow crawling pace.2. The “V” shaped center section of the clear cover over the rotating brushes is an excellent indicator of where the carpet is dirtiest during the wash mode. I recommend backing up and going forward again, as needed, until the return water there is no dirtier than on the surrounding areas.3. The clear cover is also an excellent indicator of where the carpet is still wet during the “Dry Only” mode. I went back and forth over the areas that showed more return water than others. This worked well.4. The “Dry Only” button is a little finnicky. Only the very center of the button does anything.5. I washed one section of carpet on day one and was somewhat happy with the results. The section I washed showed a marked improvement.6. Day two showed that there were still some areas that did not come completely clean. This was because I couldn’t identify all of the broad areas that needed pre-treating until after the first cleaning.7. After pre-treating those areas and re-cleaning on day two, The carpet is completely clean. The return water was almost as dirty as on day one. (Probably due to the pre-treated areas.)8. Yes, as others have stated, you will use much more cleaning solution than you may think. This seems to be especially true when moving the unit slowly, as mentioned earlier. I will probably need as much as 64 ounces to finish my 13 by 20 foot room with one or two cleaning passes. The sample bottle of cleaner supplied with the unit is not worth bothering with unless you have a very small area to clean. Otherwise buy at least 32 ounces when ordering the unit.Note that if the motor speeds up, and the unit loses suction, during the cleaning process, it is because the “high water” float in the return tank has shut the suction off. This can happen if you change directions too quickly, even if the return tank is not that full. A minor inconvenience. All in all, a great product. I highly recommend it!

I, like many people, am now very skeptical about reviews on platforms, but I understand the importance of these HONEST LIVE REVIEWS! Therefore, I am writing my opinion Hoover Smartwash FH52000 is an excellent home assistant that also needs to be looked after, then it will work great. I have a huge British Labrador at home and a lot of wool on the carpets, this machine makes them clean. Naturally, you need to try hard, this is not a magic robot that does everything for you. After use, I advise you to wash all its parts with dishwashing detergent and under high pressure of the European shower line, then it is easy. Then you need to dry all the parts in a warm room and fold it again. Do not leave it with liquids or dirty. I used it, washed it, dried it … The purchase was made in August 2024, now the house smells delicious and the air is clean. Good and peace to all!

I absolutely love this carpet cleaner. I purchased this after my other carpet cleaner that I had only four years, motor burned up. This was so easy and quick to put together. It is super high-quality. It is very easy to use. And the attachments pop in and out easily and efficiently. I love that I no longer have to measure out solution. And I also love that I no longer have to constantly push a button to apply solution to the carpet. This machine does it all for me, as well as allows me to put it on a dry only function to ensure all the water is sucked up. It is so easy to clean and empty. I was hesitant to spend that much money on a product after my last one burned up so quickly. But my last one was not this good and did not do as thorough of a cleaning as this already has shown to do. Literally best purchase ever.

First off, I used to have the power scrub Hoover with the spin brushes so most of my review will be comparing this one to that one. I think Hoover is a great brand with an excellent warranty and good customer service. If I could give this machine a 4.5 I would (because nothing is perfect right). Off the bat I noticed this one was smaller, however it is just shorter and ground coverage is maybe slightly wider than my old one. I love the brushes, I feel like it gets a better clean. It is super lightweight but that doesn’t take away from the suction, which i must add is quite strong. I love that this one has a plastic filter instead of those foam crappy ones. I will say it seems to use an insane amount of soap and water which is good for a deep clean, but if you’re wanting to do a light clean maybe just spray the area with a pump sprayer first and save your soap. The tanks seem to be smaller but I don’t really mind making the extra trips. I like that the soap is separate from the water tank, it seemed like the soap would leak into the water tank on my old one which was a pain. On that note I was worried about not having a rinse option on this one but you simply pop the soap tank off and rinse away. I also love not having to use a trigger, with this feature and the amount of water it uses it actually seemed to have saved a lot of time & aches while getting a better clean. I used the Hoover pet carpet cleaner which I usually wouldn’t do and I’m pleasantly surprised at how well it works & leaves a nice clean scent. Dry time is pretty fast as long as you take your time and use the dry only option. Overall I’m very happy with this product and look forward to taking advantage of it’s easy use. Thanks Hoover you did it again!

I always do the cleaning but this thing! My husband actually takes this thing out of my hand & uses it. He said it’s fun to use. This suction is so powerful I wonder why my vacuum doesn’t work like that. It picks up so much more than my Bissell vacuum does. It cleans the carpet extremely well, it’s disgusting yet satisfying with what you’ll see. I live in an apartment with carpet & the manual carpet brush just wasn’t cleaning. I just knew the carpets weren’t clean & were looking even more dark & dingy. Even random spots were showing on the carpet & the manual brush wasn’t getting them off. I bought this on sale but it is worth full price. My carpets are actually brighter & the Hoover cleaners you buy to go with it smells so clean. This completely got rid of the random spots on the carpet.I really love how it separates the clean & dirty water. The first time I used this Hoover, the water was extremely black. It was disgusting looking at what I have been breathing in. The water gets lighter with each use but with carpet it will probably take awhile to get it very clean. I’m just happy it’s cleaner with each use.I also love how I can take out the scrub brushes & clean them off especially if hair is entangled in them. When finished using it I do recommend cleaning the entire bottom of the Hoover. It gets extremely dirty & will smell if you don’t.I hate carpet, it is to difficult to take care of, but Hoover makes it bearable. Thank you Hoover. It works so well I am interested in looking into Hoover vacuums now.

Initial review, So I have experience as a professional level carpet cleaner so I really didnt have any real high expectations for this unit, I just needed something cost efficient to clean the carpet of my old roommate. I was able to get this working out of the box pretty quickly, just note the green thing for the brush is taped inside the bag so be sure to get that so the front brush can be installed properly. So I pretreaded the carpet the day before with some Shout laundry pre treater, used the device with warm water and the supplied sample shampoo and it did really well on the carpet. You dont have to mix the shampoo or press anything for it to apply solution to the carpet because when you go forward it does that and when you pull backward it extracts… made cleaning with it easy like vacuuming and it did a great job. Just be mindful of you waste tank , expect to have to empty that and refill your water a few times for heavily soiled rooms. All in all money well spent. If this device has issues in the future i will update this review.

Pretty impressed with this shampooer. It’s lightweight and easy to use. LOVE that there’s a button for “dry only” feature! Review lost a star for me because I’m not totally in love with the attachment for the hose. The suction on the attachment was pretty mediocre at best. I do like that the hose is long, making it easier to shampoo stairs but the suction still made getting the stairs clean somewhat impossible.

I’ve been waiting to write this review until I had time to really use it.I have a house that is wall-to-wall carpeting throughout; and every bit of it is going to get cleaned with this machine.I overall agree with the positive reviews others have given. I really think the “Dry Only” button is The Reason to buy this specific machine – it really sucks up so much water!I have a concern though. The first time I used the machine, it was an “emergency” situation where a member of the household had been suddenly sick and didn’t quite make it to the bathroom before throwing up a little; poor thing. But, for me, what an opportunity to put the new cleaner to the test! (LOL) It was absolutely fantastic, really deeply cleaned that carpet. As I was using it, I thought the brushes weren’t rotating. (It still did the job) Later, I really learned the mechanics of the thing and realized that one little piece of plastic, that kind of clicks the roller in (each roller has one) had just fallen to the bottom of the box when upboxing. I had looked into reviews to see if I missed a big problem with the machine and felt pretty disheartened that MANY people have reported the brushes not rotating. Ugh. I added the piece and thought that would fix it. It didn’t.Something is not right with the brushes. I can see them start to roll, then they stop and that’s the end. I can’t see anything else to do, to fix it. And, fortunately, it cleans well enough without them – but just think how AMAZING it would be WITH the rotating brushes!!It’s too bad that the manufacturer can’t seem to fix this problem –Otherwise, all my research pointed me to this machine and I am grateful to have it and can recommend it highly, but not 100%…If you get a new one, try it out asap, perhaps it will work “well enough” without the brushes rotating… maybe the brushes on your machine will work! If it’s not going to be good enough, find out while you can still return it!! Good luck!

You might wonder how I could call this product inefficient, but give it a five-star rating. I’ll explain. At considerable length.Let me start by saying that my carpet looks better and cleaner now than it has in years. Better than anything I achieved with Rug Doctor rentals. Better than anything achieved by the various professional cleaners I’ve used. It follows that I’m extremely pleased with the effectiveness of the Hoover Smartwash.I should also note that my carpet is berber. Berber is much more tenacious than pile carpeting when it comes to giving up dirt and stains. Those of you with pile carpeting will no doubt find your experience much more efficient, and much less time consuming than my experience. Which brings me to my comment about efficiency in the title.I put in a lot – a lot – of hours on the job. I did the initial wash-and-dry with detergent cycle, the water-only (no detergent) cycle, and the dry only cycle. I did many, many passes with each cycle, and overlapped by half on every pass. This took a lot of time but was absolutely necessary to get really good results on the dirtiest areas. Some reviewers only suggest that water-only and dry-only cycles be performed. I think they’re mandatory, as a considerable amount of detergent will be left in the carpet if you only do the base cycle. And you’ll be amazed at how much water, still dirty, is removed by the dry-only cycle. The clear plastic brush cover lets you see how dirty the waste water is on the various cycles, and also lets you know when little or no water is finally being removed. It’s a very nice visual aid.Needless to say, I ran through quite a bit of cleaning solution. I switched from the Hoover product to ZEP, which costs less than half. It worked just as well. My only complaint about the ZEP is that it foams more than the Hoover stuff, which means that the float in the waste tank will close more frequently, necessitating more dumps of the waste tank. A minor nit.So, to sum up. If you’re willing to put in the effort, this product yields exceptional results. You’d have to put in just as much effort to get similar results with a Rug Doctor (and I really enjoyed not being pressed for time with a rental). And I’ll never go with a professional again. They do a decent job, but are always in and out too quickly to do a job as good as you’d do yourself.A few last words. The oversized wheels made the Smartwash easily maneuverable. Nice feature. And the breakdown of the various parts (including the roller brushes) for cleaning is a snap.
Tracy Welling –
Light weight, easy to use. Was able to get most stains out of carpet by going over twice. Takes quite a while for the carpet to dry even when setting on dry mode twice. Used fans to finish the drying. Will try on stairs also.

Good machine cleans well! Removable parts easy to clean and assemble. Must do it OFTEN while cleaning in order to work properly as caughtfibers lessen suction. Drys well! Once u get the hang of it excellent for the price.

If your dissatisfied with the stench in your carpeted areas, and you really want a fix that does the job, Hoover Smartwash Automatic Carpet Cleaner Machine is the answer! I’ve tried other brands, but they don’t hold a candle to what this jewel can do! For the money, it is an investment, not a waste of money & effort, that truly brings PEACE OF MIND!

I have owned many carpet cleaners & this is hands down the best cleaner for many reasons!1.Easy to put together.2. Easy instructions.3. Light weight,, not a bulky cleaner.4. Powerful. I vacuumed before & the dirt & dog hair this cleaner picked up was unreal! 😬5. When you push forward it determines how much water to use by how dirty the carpet it. Pull back, and it drys & sucks up water.6. My favorite is that there is an option to dry only and it really pulls up the water!7. You can pull out the cleaner container to rinse the carpet. All for under $200!Highly recommend!

Easy to use and has good capacity in tanks. Clean up was simple. After cleaning all the tanks and brushes I let them air dry overnight before reassembling so my new Hoover Smartwash would stay fresh and ready for the next cleaning job. My first task was to clean all my area rugs. I’m just shocked at the dirt and how they look like new. All those rugs would have been in the landfill and I would have bought new ones for a lot more money than the cost of this cleaner. I also purchased a gallon of the Hoover floor cleaner.
Kingq –
This is amazing! I wish I had bought it sooner! It was a little hard to maneuver, but so powerful! my carpet looks like new. Move forward to wash, backwards to dry! And the most important is the dry option then you turn on any floor fan and boom you got much better results than a professional deep cleaning

New info on leaks ! If machine is leaking check ALL screws and snug them up , dont over tighten though. I did and it solved the problem ! I love this machine . Only improvement it needs is a button for water only so you dont need to remove the solution tank !!!! I really love the dry only button 👌
James Harvey –
By far the BEST carpet cleaner I’ve ever used. I did the entire living room / dining room with one filling of the solution container. The smart wash / dry feature worked perfectly. Press of a button for dry only. I absolutely LOVED this machine!!
Smellgreencandy –
What a wonderful machine! I’m usually Shark till I die, but Hoover won me over with the twin brush rolls, and how easy it is to clean them, and the quality of the (awesome) upholstery accessories. The heated dry only mode has my carpet dry in a flash, two hours at the most. Also, I bought mine through NiceShine Resale. They classified it as “acceptable” due to some cosmetic flaw. I tell you, I have been all over this thing and haven’t seen one single anomaly, it wasn’t missing a single thing, and it work beautifully. If you’re looking for a carpet shampooer that checks all the boxes, this is it. Oh yeah, the spot- chaser sprays out like a needle stream, I would prefer otherwise, but they can’t all be zingers. It is still very convenient and I use it everytime. I am sooo happy with this purchase.

I have had this machine a while and just got around to using it. It is lightweight. I like that it is picking up water at the same time it is shampooing. Keeps the rug from getting too wet. Ample power. Cleaned my outdoor rug (under cover) which was very dirty and it did a great job on everything. Easy to figure out what goes where and comes apart where the head accumulates dirt and fibers so it cleaned up well after using it on a really dirty rug. Great machine for the price.

What a great carpet shampooer! It really does the job it is set out to do! I absolutely love it. It is lightweight, durable and powerful. The size is a little bigger than the average vacuum. However, I had a smaller size from a different brand and was not impressed. This fit my needs. Easy to use and take apart to clean. Don’t hesitate to buy. I have two dogs and one is older and a bit senile. It really saved me from dragging my carpets outside to hose off and wait for them to dry. It’s a bit expensive but worth the investment.

Great little machine light weight so easy to clean and does a excellent job on carpets and rugs. Love the attachments especially for the car interior. I promise you will love it to. I can’t even imagine how a professional could do a better job.

I have owned many carpet cleaners over the years and this one is quickly becoming my favorite. This product has addressed all my concerns and complaints about previous carpet cleaners. No trigger: I have arthritis in my hands and fingers. Not having to push a trigger to spray water and solution is definitely going to save the heath of my hands. Large brushes: previous cleaners have had smaller, compact brushes that gave a beating to my carpet. This cleaner is very gentle but powerful and leaves my carpets soft and cleaned. Rinse option: I have heard that it is good to rinse your carpets and machine. This is an easy task, by simply removing the cleaning solution tank. No need to dump what water/cleaner is in the tank, wasting it to just fill the tank back up with fresh water. Dry only option: love this feature. The dry only pulls the excess water out of the carpet, allowing for faster dry time. Tank size: all the tanks are nicely sized so that a lot of work can be done before changes have to be done.

Highly recommend. This carpet cleaner is amazing. Very easy to use and cleans the carpet. It has pulled pet hair and small gravel the vacuum left behind. Carpet looks brand new.

This thing is a BEAST! Not only does it clean your carpets well it dries them SO FAST! I have 4 kids and being able to clean carpets/rugs is impossible. This thing makes it so I can clean them regularly without having to worry about my kids slipping or getting the carpet dirty immediately after! From start I finish it probably took me 30 min for it to be completely dry and able to walk/play on. Not only is the vacuum great but the attachable hose… oh man. This has RUBBER bristles so it’s able to get those tough, sticky spots up without having to break a sweat. I’m so glad I bought this and my tiny other spit cleaner broke. Best purchase for busy moms with lots of kids. 1000% worth your money.

Great value for the need. Highly recommended for home use. Quick & easy assembly. Not as lightweight as a regular vacuum cleaner but not heavy. A couple of notes:- consider doing multiple passes to get a great finish- if you have pets, the hair buildup will slow/block the suction, but once you wash the brushes, rinse the clear suction piece and empty to dirty water it’ll work as intended- ensure the water tank is filled enough to keep the wash function working properlySee before and after pictures for results. Enjoy!

Thr best carpet cleaner i have used! I’ve tried a few and this one cleaned like crazy. It was very easy to clean as well! And I loved the cleaning fluid is on a separate compartment so there is no mixing

Ask even people in Boulder City, they will tell you that this Hoover really is a dam good machine! It really sucks! The only thing in life that should! No, seriously, this is a great household carpet cleaner, especially for those of us who have kids, pets, or have accidents. Don’t be a dairy farmer and cry over spilt milk – just suck it up! – but use this Hoover SmartWash Vacuum carpet cleaner wisely.I got the best results by first using an ordinary vacuum cleaner – a Hoover or “any other dam machine” with a rotating carpet brush or so to pick up leaves, twigs, mud, and/or any other form of loose dirt. Then run this carpet cleaner with the correct dosage of carpet cleaning solution in the water supply tank and do that for a few 5 passes or so. Proceed to press the dry run button – press long and firmly – the button is on the left side of the cleaner at the top, and it turns green when you run the cleaner on the dry setting with the dry run dirty water vacuum return pickup button activated – which you will know is on when a green light shines in the on/of-button. When shing green – only the dry vacuum function is working, sucking back up any remaining water in your carpet, with both your forward and backward movements of the carpet cleaner. This vacuum cleaner picks up water from your carpet in the full width of the clear (double-sided clear plastic and removable) front cover. You can observe the recycled water as it mixes with air, showing in the front cover as a whitish, slightly tiny bubbles fluid racing through the removable front cover, moving up from the carpet & floor and being focused in the center of the cover. You can observe this return water both when you use the dry-vacuum-only function and when you use the default combined wet & dry function on movement back and forward until all removable water is gone from your carpet. So, when no more water can be extracted from your cleaning area, you are either done, or if some dirt and discoloration remain, then run the carpet cleaner on the wet-&-dry function and the only-dry cycles again. The default wet-cycle function is really a combined wet-&-dry cycle as you dispense water with cleaning solution on the forward motions of the carpet cleaner and do suck most of it back up on the backward motions of the carpet cleaner. If the carpet cleaner rises in revolutions, so an obviously higher rate of engine revolutions and accompanying sound can be heard, that is your clue to know, that the front cover has been dislodged and an air leak is present in the vacuuming up of recycled cleaning water from the floor or carpet, which will prevents most of the water vacuum recycling from happening. If this happens, stop and turn off your carpet cleaner – use the red foot pedal-button on the left side of the carpet cleaner to turn off (and on) and reset the front cover, as your carpet cleaner now has lost most of its water vacuuming capability and needs the front cover reset fully straight and perfectly lodged in flush in both sides and in both in the front and the back – to be in full operating order of maximum vacuum.I actually placed two pieces of clear shipping tape over the edges of the front end of the front cover over to the carpet cleaner’s main body sides to prevent this dislodging of the front cover with a resulting leak in the vacuum function. This clear tape-fix seemingly works well, does not show much, and really is a cheap fix on a design flaw that keeps your carpet cleaner working as intended at all the times with its maximum capacity to water vacuum. When you need to remove the front cover, just remove the tape and proceed as per the rest of the manufacturer’s directions. This Hoover should be the only thing in your life that really sucks! Dirt, water, and anything dissolved in it – but do not use on flammables liquids, acids, or similar chemical fluids!Don’t leave dirty water in the recycling tank! Unlike wine, it does not improve with time!End of rhyme.

This steam cleaner is absolutely amazing. We’ve had it for close to 5 years now, and it’s picked up everything our two dogs have thrown at it. Poop, pee, barf, slobber, etc. Everything comes apart for easy cleaning and the dry only button is a great feature. My only complaint would be some dog fur gets stuck in the clear plastic panel, but nothing some hot water and a wooden skewer couldn’t fish out.
Judy Jacques –
This machine is so easy to use and it does a great job on the carpets. I have used it on my carpets and have already lent it out to others to use and everyone’s response is the same. It’s an amazing rug cleaner.

Compared to alot of other brands, at least the numerous Bissells I’ve gone through, this machine is exceptionally built and well thought out. I am a firm believer in keeping all my tools clean (take care of your tools, they take care of you) and with this carpet shampooer I am able to simply lift out each component, rinse, and easily set back into place. Huge win! I am one to take apart my vacuum cleaner and use a tooth brush to clear the grime. Here that is so easy and accessible. The resivoirs, there are 3, are simple and cause zero agitation to dump or refill and are of decent sizes. There is no trigger on the main body (there is if you got the hose attachment) which I have never dealt with before and quickly got accustomed to it. You move it forward for ‘wash’ and pull it back for ‘dry’, there is a button just behind the solution resivoir that allows for a dry function only. And yes, you will have to take your time as you realize your carpets or upholstery are not as clean as ypu thought, so several trips to dump the dirty water should be considered. The suction power is great on both handheld attachment and the main body which makes the dry time faster. Dry time does not mean heat, just so you know.In the end, this machine is definitely worth the price point and is ultimately well constructed. Out of the box, no tools are needed. As of now, no complaints. Thanks for reading!

This is the most amazing carpet shampooer I have ever owned. My carpets look amazing and I can say I would rather use this than have them professionally cleaned.

This is by far the best carpet cleaner I’ve ever owned. Not only does my carpet look clean after using it. It actually feels clean, too. One of my favorite features is that you can remove the bristles, which makes a huge difference. With other cleaners, pet hair and dirt would just build up on the brush and there was no good way to clean it. This design solves that problem completely. It’s a game changer, especially for pet owners!

I tried this for the first time last night, and I was impressed with how well it cleaned the carpet, especially the stains. It is somewhat loud, but not excessively. Also the carpet turned out to be much larger than I expected.

Glad I bought this. If you can run a vacuum you can work this carpet cleaner. Perfect for large rugs air high traffic areas that need a refresh. It is not too heavy even with a tank of water, disassembled and rinses out well. Easy directions for assembly. Good value😊

4/5 stars. The Hoover SmartWash+ cleans carpets thoroughly, tackles stubborn pet stains, and neutralizes odors effectively. Easy to use with vibrant results, though slightly heavy. Perfect for busy households!

I just assembled and used my carpet cleaner for the first time. I have to say I am impressed. This was easy to assemble (I had a little trouble getting the brush cover on at first), it’s powerful and easy to disable and clean. I like all the new features. The dry only is super handy and I really appreciate the separate cleaning fluid tank. All in all I think Hoover knocked it out of the park with this one.

The Hoover Smartwash FH52000 in Turquoise is a game-changer! Effortless auto-cleaning, deep-cleans carpets, user-friendly design, and saves time. Leaves carpets fresh and vibrant—highly recommended!

This rug cleaner works very well. My prior carpet cleaner – an older bissell powersteamer which was highly rated when purchased – left the carpet very wet. It took a couple of days to dry. The Hoover cleans the carpet and leaves it damp to the touch. I was worried about the automatic liquid sprayer, but it works well so far.

Love this thing! Very efficient with water usage. It is very easy to take everything apart and rinse off when you are done. The bristles pop right out. Very easy to maneuver around. Light weight. I’m extremely impressed with all the little features. Highly recommend.

For a low budget carpet cleaner and regular carpet maintenance, it works great. The only reason I didn’t give five stars is because it’s just a tiny bit weak in sucking out all the water and dirt, I had to do a lot of passes and probably about 8 tanks on one runner rug to get it clean (though it hadn’t been cleaned in a year). I love how easy it is to push and pull, no trigger. I also love that the soap and water dispensers are separate so you can choose to rinse or use detergent. It’s a user-friendly design. It has a small tank, but not too bad compared to other similar-priced models. It’s probably best as a regular maintenance cleaner- if you need a heavy duty carpet cleaner for super old rugs, you might need a more professional grade model. All the work was worth it for those before-and-after pics though 😀
That’s about right –
Works great. Cleans well, and you don’t have to empty it quite as much as some of the others. The only downside is the attachment that can be used on stairs and upholstery is worthless.

Had a Bissell before; it broke after 3rd use. Plus, had to refill cleaning solution and clean water for every rug. And, as with all Bissell machines, it was impossible to thoroughly clean the parts afterwards. With the Hoover, I didn’t have to refill clean water tank or cleaning solution container until I was on the 3rd rug! This machine has a clean water only function, as well: you simply remove the soap container and when you move forward only clean water is dispensed, which is then sucked up when pulling back. No trigger, either, to dispense solution: dispenses automatically with forward motion. Finally, there is also a “dry” only button, which lets you suction up any remaining wetness in rug when you’re finished shampooing—rugs were only slightly wet afterwards. So far, I’m exceedingly happy with this machine. If it lasts me a year, I’ll be thrilled.

This thing is awesome. My carpets were kind of gross—normal wear over 5+ years (we’ve been here for over 5 years and I’m not sure how old the carpet was before we moved in) and life with 4 pets. Nothing horrific. But this cleaner made them look like new! Well, other than still being flattened out. But that’s not the machine’s fault, lol. Definitely vacuum thoroughly before using. I did twice and it was still spitting out hairballs. It is easy to assemble and easy to clean. The water and solution tanks are good sizes. It’s not super heavy but feels durable. The dry option (especially dry-only) is super nice. Any section I washed over took maybe 45 minutes tops. I DID go over each spot in dry-only mode 2-3 times though.Really my only complaint is if you leave it sitting someplace while it’s not running with water in the water tank, it will leak. However, leaking seemed to be a problem no matter what cleaner I read reviews on.Overall I’m very happy with this machine.
Sherif it’s works very good I clean and washed my house also washed the cars –

I rarely take the time to write product reviews, but this carpet cleaner deserves every bit of praise I can give it. I honestly can’t believe how well it works. The first thing I noticed was the incredible power of these cleaner packs. They effortlessly pulled out dirt and stains. The suction power is remarkable, and you can see the extracted dirty water, which is both satisfying and horrifying. The Dry-Only Button Is Revolutionary! This function dramatically cuts that time. After a deep clean, I switched to dry-only mode and made another pass. The carpet was barely damp afterward and completely dry within a short time.Worth Every Penny! I felt like I hired professionals to do the cleaning.

I don’t normally do reviews but I will on this product. There are so many different carpet cleaners to choose from and everyone claims to be better than the rest. I have owned a few different models and brands over the years and was never happy with any of them. This Hoover smartwash plus is awesome. Easy to assemble my wife put it together. We filled with warm water added soap to the dispenser bottle and off we went. I was not sure I would like the feature of going forward applies water and going backwards removes the water for drying but it works great and there is a button you can press that shuts off the water and only removes water even going forward for even dryer carpets. We did them at 8pm and they were dry in the morning……. I love it and would buy it again. If you were confused looking at all the advertising for carpet cleaners like we were dont be afraid to try this one.

I absolutely love my Hoover Smartwash. My carpets look so much better. Not only did it get up the dirt it picked up my dogs hair. Cleaning it after using it is a breeze. I haven’t used the attachments for the furniture yet. I will come back and update on how well they work. I absolutely love the fact it has a dry only button. I dropped the tank from my dehumidifier and used my Smartwash to get all of the water up from my carpet. I am totally thrilled with my purchase.

I try to clean my carpets monthly, because I have two very large dogs who live inside. My old cleaner finally quit working, and I bought the Hoover Smartwash. It does a very good job extracting dirt from carpets. I’m surprised at how much this machine removes. The carpets always feel soft and clean after using. My only “complaint,” which isn’t a negative in any way. It’s just a preference. I am not a fan of the lack of control when the cleaning solution is sprayed. I like to be able to control it. I knew this machine was equipped with the automatic function of spraying the solution when I push it forward and I thought I’d try it. Turns out, I prefer the other way…manual. So, my next machine will be a Hoover, but not the model that automatically dispenses cleaning solution.

Paid for a brand new carpet cleaner and got dirty pieces. I’m assuming this is used or referished and it wasn’t cleaned properly. Decided to test it out any way and cleans very well and dries pretty fast.

I’d been thinking about getting a carpet cleaner for over a year but kept putting it off because I didn’t think I really needed one. I finally caved after a drink spill on my living room rug wouldn’t come out—and honestly, this might be the best purchase I’ve made in a long time.Setup was super simple—no measuring, no fuss—and the cleaning solution is pretty cheap. Within five minutes of using it, I was shocked at how much dirt and grime it pulled out of my carpets. Stuff I didn’t even know was there, and if I had, I would’ve bought this way sooner.Since then, I’ve been using it every other week, and every time it pulls out dust and debris my regular vacuum just can’t touch. It works really well, feels solidly built, is easy to clean afterward, and doesn’t take up much space. The handheld attachment is a game-changer too—I’ve started using it on furniture and dog beds, and it visibly makes a difference!10/10 would recommend. If you’re on the fence, just get it. You’ll be glad you did!
