I recently got my hands on the DJI Pocket 3 camera, and I must say, I’m thoroughly impressed with its performance. This little powerhouse excels in various video modes, but my personal favorite has to be the Timelapse feature. The 4k Timelapse videos it produces are nothing short of stunning.One standout feature for me is the battery. It charges incredibly fast, taking less than 20 minutes to get back to full power. This means less downtime and more shooting time, which is a huge plus.The portability of the DJI Pocket 3 is another highlight. It’s a perfect companion for my Dji Mavic and mini 3 drones, allowing me to capture supplemental footage effortlessly.The addition of the rotating screen and quick power-on modes is a game-changer. It adds convenience to the shooting process, making it easy to frame shots and start recording in no time.The new user interface is user-friendly, making navigation and adjusting settings a breeze.One unique feature that I find special is the ability to record in portrait mode. I almost bought the pocket 2 and by chance the 3 was released. It’s a really cool and powerful small camera. Even the pictures that take are awesome. I compare it to my iPhone 15 pro and it’s comparable. One thing iPhone does better is the follow focus. In a reveal shot the transition on the dji is abrupt where as the 15 pro is more subtle. Overall the dji osmo 3 is a fantastic camera. Sucks that they didn’t have the creator package available for fast shipping. So I’ll have to shell out a lot more after.

I have the original Pocket camera and this is heads and above beyond it. The 4K video quality is excellent, even with 2x digital zoom. Battery life is much improved and fast charging over USB-C is really great to have, as is the faster startup. The larger screen is a big improvement over the previous models. Tracking performance is also greatly improved and is quite smooth. I also have the Osmo Action 4 and I like the commonality between menus. With the larger sensor, low light performance is much better than the Action 4. After knowing I would be keeping this, I also ordered the wide-angle adapter and battery grip from DJI.

I’m not a big camera guy. I did own the pocket 2 and I found it awkward to use especially with the terrible modules and the tiny useless screen. When the pocket 3 was announced, I was quite impressed with it! the flippable screen, the 1 inch sensor, the built in wireless connectivity, the improved mics, the unbelievably good low light performance, what’s not to like? This is a substantial upgrade that should inspire other companies to learn a thing or two on innovation. DJI knocked it out of the park with this one. They’re selling like hot cakes already!

Having owned the pocket two for some time I was excited to own the upgraded pocket three period it’s much bigger frame however has made it a bit more cumbersome to carry around and my plans to head mount it are pretty much dashed however we are made-up for that size by a much better screen insanely good night vision captures and the competent digital zoom. I do wish this unit came with a ultra wide lens by default and the battery life was a little better but the processing seems to have put it on par with the previous model despite the larger size. There are still some quirks in its movement compared to the original 2 but I’m sure that will be updated with firmware.

I DID NOT know this item was a return/used item. NiceShine & the DJI storefront did not disclose this at all. It was working for two days once in my possession, but then the gimbal started glitching and moving around uncontrollably (shown in the video). I tried factory resetting and power cycling the camera, but none of my efforts worked.I sent the camera directly to DJI for a replacement because NiceShine recommended contacting the company for troubleshooting help. DJI received the camera within two days, and two days later, I accepted a call saying they could not replace it due to it being outside the replacement window. I was recommended to reach out to NiceShine for a replacement.Ultimately, I am RETURNING this camera because it was defective and the company’s customer service wasn’t the best nor did they try to help me. I wouldn’t recommend buying this until DJI has found a fix.

Great video quality and control as expected. Photos on the other hand are terrible compared to Pocket 2, especially at night. Panoramic shots are not great either. Will have to continue to use P2 for pano shots as the P3 really sucks when it comes to photos. For the price, I’m shocked they are not better or comparable to the P2. Overall, still very helpful with a large viewing screen, I can take less equipment with me. Battery life is as expected with the standard add-on battery, about an hour is shooting. Not a deal breaker, I usually have power banks anyhow.

For whatever reason, DJI requires you to download an app to use this camera. You have a limited number of uses that the camera will power on and work initially, but after those are up the camera will demand that you sync it with a phone app. This is obtuse and unnecessary; if you keep this camera unopened and travel somewhere remote without internet access you will be out of luck. Don’t recommend it based off of that, I also did not really love the limited field of view.

Hi all, I am am the owner of both DJI Pocket & GoPro camera’s and they are both similar and also both very different. I do a lot of travelling and they are used quite differently, so consider the use before purchasing either. My favourite is the DJI Pocket, it is easy to use, the gimble for hand-held videos is great, it fit easily in my pocket and also less intrusive when walking around and filming. The Pocket 3 is much better because of the larger preview screen, but does make the device a bit bigger to hold and carry. I thought that I would sell my Pocket 2 but now I think I will keep as a backup. Very happy with my purchase would highly recommend to anyone interested in investing in a professional video device.

I have been hearing about the hype on the DJI Pocket Osmo 3 and as a content creator, I really wanted to try it out! This $500 camera+gimbal shoots better video than my $1,500 camera! I am blown away by the quality of this camera. I have already used it for client work and the footage came out stunning! It is also perfect for traveling! It is compact, easy to carry, and lightweight. I will be taking this camera to Europe for a 7-week trip, and I will update my review when I return on how well it did! But I have high hopes for it! Any content creator should consider getting this camera– it is worth the investment!

The Osmo Pocket 3 is a significant improvement over previous versions, particularly with audio capture. The larger screen makes it usable without attaching your phone to the unit as a reference monitor and makes navigating the menu much easier. Overall image quality is improved as well. Gimbal performance is also improved, yielding a predictable intuitive experience. If you’re able and willing to shoot it in D-log M (not a true log profile but close) and color grade the footage, it will outperform your iPhone.

I ordered this camera to replace my DJI Osmo Pocket 2, which I’ve liked, but – oh my! – the Pocket 3 has SO many FAR better features for travel vlogging!Unfortunately, the Pocket 3 also stops working (after the 5th time you turn it on), if you don’t “activate” it via an app on your phone.Well, I had mixed feelings about that, but – for such a great camera – I decided to take a chance on privacy issues, and activate the app anyway.BUT THEN…The app isn’t on Google Play for a reason: When I researched the issue, it comes down to GDPR standards. Apparently, the DJI Mimo app – used to activate the camera – doesn’t meet those standards.So, I could download the app to my Motorola phone, but the app wouldn’t install. It was blocked by Motorola for safety and privacy reasons (per the pop-up window).Of course, the app wouldn’t even download to my husband’s Google Pixel phone.I’m stunned that a $500+ camera can’t be used, fresh out of the box, without jumping through more hoops… some requiring me to buy another phone.But more than that, I’m terribly disappointed. I’d waited weeks to receive this camera. And, at first glance, this camera looks great, and has SO many wonderful features, I was delighted that I’d purchased it… until I realized I can’t use it at all.This isn’t a new issue. In forums, I see that DJI has known about this since 2023. I’m not sure why they won’t comply with GDPR standards to solve this problem.Until they do, I’m sad and disappointed, and cannot recommend the camera at all.This might have been a five-star review. The camera looks great, and – until it quit working – everything about it impressed me.Instead, I can only give it one-star.I hope this is a warning to others to check if their phones accept (and will install) the DJI Mimo app, before buying this camera.

I absolutely love thus thing!!! Like I use it regularly, I purchased a quick $35 course on YT to help learn more of the features. I love the fact that you can use the app on your phone to control it. It makes catching moments by yourself so much easier. Now as little as it is it draws some attention because people like what is that little thing lol. I had an issue with it recently where the screen wasn’t locking into place. I filed a repair ticket online, immediately got the shipping label, was kept in the loop the entire way and got a replacement. They even sent me back my sd card in a little baggie bc I forgot to take it out. I love the customer service and I love the product!!!

It is a great camera, with a huge video quality even at night time, gives a profesional camera feeling, battey can last up to 2 and a hald hours. It met all expectations. the only two things that I find for dji to improve for next iterations, would be maybe to integrate a no digital zoom if it’s possible, and a remobable battery even though the integrated battery can provide a lot of time, it would be great if we could add more time for extendend recording sessions.

I haven’t put it down since I received it! It is so easy to use and I don’t consider myself tech savvy. The quality is amazing and it is very small light and compact it fits in any small bag even a small Fanny pack! It comes with the protector case that helps to carry anywhere and keep safe. Only downside was using the app to download directly into your iPad or phone but it’s easy trick to fix the issue putting the devices on airplane mode. Overall 10/10

The large view screen can be turned for horizontal or vertical video or stills. Good people who do those video shorts. Big improvement over the small view screens. You can still connect your phone to the camera wirelessly. But I don’t see any reason so far that I would need to do that, at least while I’m recording. There is one caveat. When I recorded a clip and pressed the record button again, I pressed and held it. That started an erase funnction. I was able to stop it before it completed the erasure. But it took me by surprise. So you may want to be aware of it.

Coming from the Osmo Pocket 2 it’s a huge upgrade. It’s sharper and easier to use. I love the bigger screen and sensor. It feels like it’s built very well. Great for vlogging or using on family trips. I might use this as opposed to having to use my iPhone 15 which overheats whenever I use it too long. Takes better photos than my iPhone. It’s no mirrorless camera but it packs a punch. Can’t wait to continue to try it out during my road trip soon. The box has an app that you can download to help edit your videos on your phone. As well as it comes with helpful tutorials to help you learn to use the device. I love that I can transfer my photos wirelessly. Good value for the price. I love the selfie mode as it can smooth skin texture.will try to update after a few months.

I’ve had other mini-gimbal units and have to say the DJI just feels beefier and better. It focuses faster and just does everything else better. But – you HAVE to register it before the 5th use. If you don’t, you have a paperweight until you do register it. So if you go on vacation with your new toy and have no internet, you are in trouble. This is my main complaint with every new DJI device.The app is not standards compliant and to get it to run is a bit tricky. If you already have it installed – I did – but it won’t run – mine would not – you have to uninstall and download the APK from DJI using a QR code. You also have to change your security settings to allow the app to install. If you’re into privacy or security, you will NOT like anything about the camera. After I went through all that on my Moto Edge 2023 the app ran fine. The first thing it did was download a firmware update. It works well and has very little lag. It uses an ad-hoc wifi network to connect to the phone, and it’s all done with answering questions (allow to connect? etc.)Other stuff worth mentioning: The camera will power on and off when the screen is rotated. It’s a battery hog. I went through 11% of the battery just setting it up and installing firmware. There’s magnetic storage in the case for filters and a slide-in spot to keep their external mic. The “manual” reads like Ikea instructions and is all icons and arrows, and pretty useless. The included mount that snaps on the bottom is needed for using with a selfie stick or tripod, as there’s no mounting threads on the gimbal – the threaded opening (1/4-20) is on the snap-on base. This also adds about 1 1/2″ to the length. It’s a combination of rubber, plastic and aluminum and is surprisingly heavy.The included case is handy, but does not cover the camera completely, and leaves the bottom and back totally exposed. It’s not something I would just toss in a backpack or camera bag. You’ll need to put it in a pouch or another case.Video quality is excellent, audio surprisingly good. The gimbal is FAST and there’s a lot of features, from hyperlapse and timelapse, to 3×3 and 180 degree panoramic photos, although no 360 photos.Last night I shot some video at a 1920’s themed dance. Very dark room, loud music with some heavy bass. I was amazed at the quality of the video and the clarity of the audio.

I’m not a professional, but I record hours of kids sports footage each week. I typically record in 4K 60 frames per second which allows me to slow down the action and zoom in when needed. It’s a great family camera with high-quality video and I highly recommend. For the record, I previously owned the first and second generations of this product and I’m loving the newest version. The footage is buttery, smooth high-quality with great colors in th standard recording settings.

Got the camera only option because I was too impatient to wait for the combo lol BUT I’m very happy with it! I’m interested in making vlogs so I was on YT looking for good vlog cameras and this has been a popular choice. What sold me was the gimbal, because a regular camera wouldn’t come with that and I need all the help I can get with steadiness. It’s cool you can see your view from your phone as well as the small screen on the osmo pocket itself. It’s small, can record in 4K, comes with a case and it’s ready to use right out the box (but best to fully charge to start making vids). You have to get your own micro SD card and the max this can handle is 512GB. I also got little screen protectors separately to keep my screens safe. Get the app (DJI MIMO) to pair it and get started. You can download your videos right to your phone if it’s paired to it. If you have an issue downloading the videos or pics (like I did at least) and you have an iPhone like myself, go to your settings to turn off Cellular Data off for the app so they download. Honestly I need to watch more vids on it to get used to all its features but I’m excited to learn. It’s definitely a splurge but if you got it on you I’d say it’s worth it 🙂

It connects to the iPhone vía Bluetooth and the quality of video that it creates is cinematic.I travel all over Latin America and the Caribbean every other month and with this camera I can take breathtakingly beautiful footage with a camera that fits in a pants pocket. I have a DJI drone and really loved it and was really looking forward to purchasing something like a GoPro but I had heard the latest models were not up to par. And while DJI has a similar model, I decided that I would definitely like to film outside of going snowboarding or biking with a camera mounted. I wanted a more versatile camera. And I hit the lottery when I found this thing! It’s so intuitive and truly has all the latest software behind the beastly hardware. I can’t say enough about this camera! Buy it! You will never regret it I promise.In my video you can see a timlapse of me getting some tattoos done, and at one point you see me playing with my phone and the camera then moving, I am using the DJI Mimo app to view, and control the camera in real-time. Easy to use, reliable, and the sensor is fantastic. I use it with the battery grip and it last the entire day. Solid dynamic range given the size, and the auto tracking works quite well.Only flaw: it seriously needs an optical zoom option, even if just 2X. The standard lens is 20mm, and that’s just too wide for about half the shots I want to capture with this thing. I really hope DJI takes note and introduces optical zoom for the Pocket 4 (or a dual lens setup).

This is a great camera for the reasons others have given. Switching from a traditional handy cam was not without a bit of a learning curve though. I almost returned it when it wouldn’t follow what I wanted it to follow when at greater distances until I found the mode that basically turns off tracking. I still have a camcorder when long zoom is needed, but this is the go to camera otherwise. Far steadier shots

DAY 3 of using it. I have Sony A7 series DSLR. I got the OsmoPocket 3 for travel purpose. Works wellTeven in low natural light. The 1 inch sensor held up pretty good. Its Handles contrast pretty good. 10bit recording. Lots of good usable features. It works for the price range. App /connectivity to your phone is super simple. Battery 20 to 25mins. runs a little warm after 5 mns. 4K video recording files are huge.

It is a really nice little camera, the video quality is really good, but the photo quality is just regular (my iPhone 13 Pro Max is better for photos).The camera looks also super fragile, if you are not careful with it, it could brake easily.You can’t just throw it into a backpack, you have to put it on the plastic case carefully before doing it.Also, it has no resistance to water, not even rain.So, I ended up returning it.

I had high hopes for the DJI Osmo Pocket 3, but unfortunately, it didn’t meet my expectations. The quality control is lacking, as there were very noticeable and visible dust/dark spots inside the camera lens/image sensor. Additionally, the front microphone seems to be faulty, recording very low volume from the front. I was planning to use this camera for my vacation, but these issues made it unusable.The warranty claim process was easy, but I didn’t have time to wait another week for a replacement from DJI. Luckily, I didn’t buy it at the last minute, or all my vacation videos and images would have been ruined by these annoying dust/dark spots. I had to return it and get a replacement unit. Overall, very disappointed with DJI’s quality control.

Carrier using Signature delivery. The Delivery rang the bell and went right away. I contacted seller to change delivery method. But no support. No ideas how to receive it now. Usually it takes more 7-10 days from now to receive it at Carrier pick up…Updated : Still upset because signature delivery …- The Quality video is so damn good in day light. Screen might be hot in 4K recording.- Low light : must have light focus on Face. Or everything will be blurry.- Background always blurry. More blurry in low light due to bokeh mode and focus mode.- Tap to focus. Face focus … a lot of effective on person.- Recommend to buy this in daylight only.

I’ve had the camera now for a little over a year and I’m really impressed with almost everything the camera has to offer, but my bone of contention is the way the screen won’t reset back to the “docking” position anymore. What’s worse, I have to hold the screen with my thumb so I can see the image straight, otherwise, it has about a 30° tilt, very annoying. DJI, if you read this, be aware please!

This is one of the most useful and valuable pieces of equipment I own. It is awesome for B Roll. I love that you can shoot in log. The footage is super smooth, and it is easy to carry around, mount, and get creative with. If you are one the fence about it, do it. DJI makes great products. Also, don’t shy away from DJI care. Their customer service is unmatched and they are great with product replacements.

Pocket 3 is just in a class of it’s own. This camera is a beast and is everything I hoped the 3 would be. It’s really versatile and is handy for so many situations.Having a gimbal camera this small is just so handy. It’s relatively low key and doesn’t draw too much attention. While walking around It’s easy to set and forget while recording thanks to the gimbal. The rotating screen is a much needed upgrade from the postage stamp size screen on the previous pockets. The screen also makes turning the pocket on and off super easy.If you’re not in a situation that requires an action cam this is generally the best choice for an ultra portable handheld camera. Video quality is incredible, 4k 60 10bit is awesome, and it even does 120fps slow mo. The 1inch sensor does really well in low light and is even able to get some natural shallow depth of field, something an action cam won’t ever give you. This is kinda the opposite of an action cam; it’s got a really nice field of view that is a lot narrower than an action cam and has no fish eye at all, it’s also really fragile and not waterproof. It’s strengths are what tend to be an action cams weakness and vice versa.This thing is amazing for so many use cases. I don’t vlog but it sure would be good at that, the camera can turn around and face you at the click of a button and will even get a little bit of boca behind you. It’s great for travel, small and lightweight, you can get great video exploring and walking around and don’t even have to pay much attention where you point it. The pocket 3 also works really well mounted on top of a mirrorless/DSLR, I used it to capture roving video while I focused on photography, But you could even use this on a video camera as an all in one “B Camera”.This thing is just all around awesome and is an excellent addition to any video kit, beginner or pro.

The Dji is fine but the box said it was supposed to come with other things and I didn’t get the other things that came with it. I feel like my price shouldn’t have been full price . It was missing the plug(which I could get from anywhere) but why did it say it would come with it if it wouldn’t? and the case was mussing( which is actually needed to protect the gimbal!)

AMAZING I love my Pocket 3. I got it to film rollers for cars, and for the price point, it is wonderful. It shoots in 4K, and when paired with a suction cup mount, you can use it hands-free and control it through the app. There’s a lot of customizability for it, and overall, it’s a great product if you want to get into filming.

Captures fantastic quality content when it works. With in the first month, I had a couple issues with freezing upon startup and issues with connection to wireless connection for ease of usage. Once you get the hang of it, it is a breeze but, definitely has a learning curve.
