Had F3800 couple of weeks now. Tested out the 400W portable solar array. On a clear sunny day in SC positioned at correct azimuth but 4 deg off best angle (33 vs 29) . I connected my freezer and then a heat gun. total using about 1200 watts. (ran down battery to 90% so solar input would not shot off at full charge. Did that on and off for 8 hours. Peak output from solar panel hit 368 watts. During the test it gave me 2480 watts total I actually expected less. Last hour or so let it reach full charge 100% Have also gone from 85% with AC input in less than 1 hour. Bought this mainly to provide quiet power for freeze and Fridge think it will power both for at least 12 hours then I can recharge with a small propane generator in about 2.5 to 3 hours so far I am very pleased Thinking about adding more solar in the future

If you are not big, moving this round can be a problem. But I’m 6’ and 240 lbs and I can carry it around without needing the wheels. If you’re big, you’re fine. Everyone else will need to be careful about moving and placing this thing.Having said tbat, it really works. Battery is sma8’g, technology tracking g charge / discharge and the 400 watt panel are all excellent. This is a great starter kit for solar, and flexible for travel, and highly expandable. I really like this thing.

Solix F3800 is rock solid unit and would give it 5 stars. It handled many different load test efficiently. The app is easy to use.Reason for 3 stars.Purchased solix with 400 watt solar panel. The panels output was extremely poor. Around half rated output 190-200 watts. Tested in mid 80’s temps, clear sky in direct sun. Tested two other panel manufacturers same time and they only has 25% loss. Tested the panels open circuit voltage at 50v, spec showed it should been 56.7v. Anker support was poor and response takes days. Returned the kit. Have now purchased ecoflow pro 3

We purchased the F3800 and 400 watt solar panel in case there is a need for emergency power but until this happens, I run my amateur radio station with it. My station consist of two 100 watt radios, one 1000 watt amplifier and other accessories with no problem. A great unit, if this is your plan I do recommend getting the second battery.

Before you invest in this set up, know what it is and what it isn’t. It may have outlets to plug in large appliances and such, but doesn’t mean you can run large appliances off of it for any length of time. The system, as purchased(with just the 400w solar panel and power bank) was charged up to 100% capacity and then we plugged in a small portable AC unit. The system was able to run the AC for about 2.5 hours…..not really what we expected to get out of how this thing based on how it is advertised.Recharging off solar. With the one panel, it’s going to take a few days. It’s a 400w panel, but there’s some loss in the conversion. With an additional 100w panel, the highest we were able to get was 330w. Not bad, it’s just going to take days to get the unit back to 100%. For reference, we’re in South Florida, the “sunshine” state. To get a reasonable rate of recharge, you’re going to need at least 4 panels. To get any reasonable run time, you’ll need additional batteries. A lot of them…..Which, of course, means you’ll need even more solar panels…..Needless to say, performance was very underwhelming. Guess we’ll need a gas generator to keep it charged up….

I’m not one to leave reviews, but this product exceeded my expectations! It can literally run a whole house, minus the ac and water pump. The solar charging is great! The app is easy to use! Great backup solution for any type of power outage. Best part is you can leave it inside and it hardly makes any noise!

This one is heavy but it has a handle which makes it nice. There’s many plugins in this unit. The solar panels haven’t been taken out of the box yet. We charged it up to use if the power goes off.

I’m excited to receive my order. I got the generator unit with 400 watt solar panels. The unit is fully charged, I’m doing the battery drain test since 6am pacific time (01/31/2025). I’m looking to cut my Edison bill in half during the summer months running all my appliances, two refrigerators, one floor freezer, microwave and portable AC unit. The 6,000 watts is holding up.Since the battery drain test began at 6am. At 12:15pm I had 65% left of battery power. The solar panels are not connected. At 3:15pm. More than 9 hours after the battery drain test the Generator Unit has 51% remaining. I’m quite pleased this will come in handy during the summer months. Anker by far has earned 5 Stars ⭐The time now is 6pm with twelve hours into the battery drain test. The unit has 36% remaining. At this rate, it may reach 10% between 9pm to 10pm so we shall see.My battery drain test is complete. At 11pm the battery reached 10%. This gave me 17 hours of battery power for my appliances. Purchasing this unit is an investment well made on the heels of the So Cal Fires and power outages. My spouse and I were very pleased with the first battery charge and drain test that passed. We have full and complete satisfaction and looking to purchase a second unit.

Pros:Powerful enough to run our whole house for ~ six+ hours (w/out AC/oven, or two+ hours with oven).Safer/Cleaner/More Convenient alternative to gas/propane generatorExpandable, so with a second Anker battery, the whole house is powered for ~ 12 hours, and with a third unit for 18 hourswithout recharging the battery.Sturdy/good build quality – The Unit can be safely lifted with the handles.Wheels & retractable handle make it much more portable and easier to take camping, or to move to different locations on the property.Solar charging is simple with Anker’s folding solar panel kit.Anker’s Smart Home Power Kit allows for a grid power connection. With the installation of the Anker Smart Home Power Kit, the Anker battery can be charged using rooftop solar panels. Can reduce monthly electrical bills from the grid year-round:Bluetooth App monitors battery level to automatically switch betweenGrid power & Anker power during peak (higher cost) hours (when used with Smart Home Power Kit). The Anker can also be charged during off-peak hours to contribute to lower electric bills. No need to store propane/gas as with propane/gas generatorsCons:Because the 240V plugs are disabled during charging, the Anker can’t be recharged with a generator or AC power while in use with 240V (whole house), but there are 120V outlets available during recharging to power large and small appliances (fridge) and run/recharge computers, phones, etc.Purchase of Anker’s Smart Home Power Kit, plus, installation by an electrician, is required to set up charging from rooftop solar. One must find an electrician familiar with or willing to set up Anker’s Smart Home Power Kit with existing rooftop solar panels.More expensive initial cost

I wish I had not bought this. I bought this on recommendation of a friend. NiceShine/Anker do not allow returns. The product was shipped without a User Manual. I had to print it from the NiceShine website. The User Manual is terribly written and even with a degree in electrical engineering it was not very intuitive. Small text, very hard to read even with reading glasses, had to use a magnifying glass. The system ships with a pile of 7 cables with no labels of any kind on them. The directions for recharging only show a picture of a cable, very small, and show plugging into a wall socket and the three prong connector on the side. There is no label saying this side is the charging ports or these are the output sockets. The diagram of the solar panel connection shows 3 panels, there are no directions for using a single panel. You have to figure out the single panel cable and connections yourself. The charge rate for their 400W panel was only 145W in our backyard in full sun. So for 3840 watts I would estimate that as a 26 hour charge time… pretty useless even in summer. You will run to zero charge way faster than it recharges.Edited to add, when a slight hazey cloud appeared the charge rate dropped to 22W. Pulled it inside to charge on 110VAC.Also this unit is very heavy. If you are older or not strong it is very difficult to take outside if you don’t have an exit without steps. I used to be very strong, 245lb bench and 120lb curl sets when I weighed 145lbs. It was difficult for me to lift 1 step of 10 inches from our patio into the house. They should have optional 25ft cables so the unit can stay in the house when using the solar panel, which is still useless.Do your own research and choose another brand.
