100 reviews for Portable Power Station RIVER

  1. Cole Markusen

I recently purchased the EcoFlow River 2 after wanting something a little smaller for more frequent outings. As an outdoor enthusiast and remote worker, having a reliable power source is essential, and the River 2 Pro has proven to be exceedingly capable.Coming from the Delta 2 I had high hopes for the River 2 Pro and I wasn’t disappointed! I was surprised the colors of the plastics between the Delta and the River differed, but the overall build quality was spot on. The River 2 Pro is SO much easier to carry around, partly due to the larger handle but also due to it weighing 10 pounds less, that weight is very noticeable. The River 2 Pro is surprisingly versatile, with enough ports to charge and power various devices simultaneously. Not that I necessarily do that, it was awesome to see that you can use all the ports at the same time and have it chug along with no problem. Was able to charge my iPad Pro, MacBook Pro, ASUS G14, Panasonic Camera, Phone, small battery bank, 12v fridge, and even a toaster! All at the same time. Color me impressed. One of the most significant upgrades in the River 2 Pro is the LFP battery chemistry, like the Delta 2, which allows for over 3000 charge cycles which gives great peace of mind that this unit is going to last and have no fear of actually using it.  On some of my old Lithium Ion battery banks I was nervous about using too frequently and shortening it’s life, that worry has all but disappeared with the Delta 2 and River 2 Pro.Additionally, the new battery technology enables faster charging – approximately an hour using AC (at 940W) and 3.5 hours using solar (at 220W). Living in Washington state we see our fair share of overcast days, especially in late winter / early spring. And despite that, the River 2 Pro matched the capability of the Delta 2 using the EcoFlow 220W bifacial portable solar panel. This is a game-changer for those who need a quick and efficient power source.  I tend to turn down the AC charge a bit when I don’t need a charge right away, this helps the batteries life span in the long run and keeps things a bit quieter. Speaking of which, the River 2 Pro is noticeably quieter than the Delta 2, which was a pleasant surprise. It seems to take the River 2 Pro longer for the fans to kick on, which I love, for my standard use, the fans don’t kick in much.I know I have been comparing the River 2 Pro and the Delta 2 a lot, but I do think a lot of shoppers may cross compare them when searching for a single solution.  The Delta 2 has become pretty well regarded and for good reason, but don’t discount the River 2 Pro. The River 2 Pro does have a smaller battery and quite a bit less power output. However, its compact size makes it an ideal solution when you need a slightly smaller, more portable option that is still about 90% as capable as the Delta 2. This makes the River 2 Pro perfect for remote work, camping, and other situations where a slightly smaller form factor is more convenient. The River 2 Pro has proven to be the perfect solution for my remote work needs (where-as the Delta 2 for me, is more of my long-term camp power station). It has enough capacity to power my laptop, monitor, tablet, and hotspot all day long without any issues. Additionally, the USB-C charging with a 100W input/output port ensures fast charging for my devices. One downside I’d note is that the River 2 Pro has only a single USB-C port, it would have been great to see at least 2 now that most devices are moving toward USB C. Fortunately though, there are plenty of other ports to satisfy most users (including myself).  And one thing to note, the River 2 Pro does NOT support simultaneous charging. So you get AC, DC, or USB-C, only one at a time. It does seem to do a great job though at selecting the highest input source and using that to charge. The EcoFlow app is another standout feature, while it does lack some in-app features compared to the Delta 2 (Beep when setting change, 12v DC Timeout), it’s still plenty capable and could potentially even come in a firmware update, you can adjust the charge and output rates for optimal long-term use or quickly boost them when you need a fast charge. This level of customization and control ensures that the River 2 Pro adapts to your specific needs.EcoFlow also offers a generous 5-year warranty for the River 2 Pro. Their customer service is exceptional, from my experience with the Delta 2, I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly I could talk to a real person when I had a question about my power station. This level of support is rare and truly sets EcoFlow apart from the competition. In summary, the EcoFlow River 2 Pro is a fantastic, more compact, lighter alternative to the Delta 2, with the added benefit of app control for customized power management. Its power capacity, portability, and versatility make it an essential addition to any remote work setup, weekend camping, or emergency preparedness kit. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and powerful portable power station.

My wife and I chose to go with EcoFlow’s River2 Pro after seeing the brand featured on several YouTube channels we subscribe to. We had heard good things about the company and wanted a power source to run chargers, tools, and appliances when the power goes out or at a campsite with no power. The River2 Pro is actually the second EcoFlow product we purchased as we wanted this one to support more charging/power capacity. The first power pack we purchaced is smaller and has a lower output for trips requiring a smaller size. This one we bought (River2 Pro) for around the house and for boondocking in our trailer. We had been using a gas generator to run our trailer while boondocking but when we stay at National Parks, we try to observe quiet hours and not be “that guy” running their generator and ruin the ambiance. One thing to note with EcoFlow and the kind of company they are….my wife bought me our first powerpack as a gift and forgot to add the free solar panel offer during checkout. When the solar panel never arrived (our fault), my wife called EcoFlow customer support and they immediately sent us a solar panel at no cost to us even though we didn’t follow the direcitons to claim the offering. Pretty amazing customer service in my opion. As for the River2 Pro, I charged it from 28% to fully charged in about an hour. Overall, super impressed and highly recommend this model and EcoFlow as a company.

With small children living in the house, I thought it would be prudent to consider some type of generator the for kids’ bedroom upstairs in case we had an outage. Small children sometimes struggle in the daytime, but can you imagine what it would be like in complete darkness?I needed a small power source to run the TV and lights in their bedroom if we had any event that caused our electricity to go out. I previously purchased the EcoFlow Max, which I love, but I need it downstairs for the refrigerator, lights, phones, computers, etc.Because the EcoFlow Max performed so well, I decided to purchase the EcoFlow River 2 Pro to keep me sane and the kids happily watching TV in the dark until bedtime. I was anxious to receive it and set it up.When it arrived, it was charged to 28% and took less than an hour to fully charge to 100%. The EcoFlow River 2 Pro has four AC outlet sockets, three USB-A ports and one USB-C port, plus two DC outlet ports and a car-charger outlet. One thing to remember is that AC outlet sockets and the DC section have a small on/off oval switches that need to be pushed on before those sections will start charging. I made the mistake of pushing the main button and wondering why the River 2 Pro was not charging my small heater. I forgot I needed to push that on/off button on the side of the AC section. After having success with my heater, I went upstairs to see how long this River 2 Pro could run the 50” TV in the kids’ room. After hooking it up, I was surprised to see that it could run this TV for 9 hours! That certainly eased my anxiety that the kids and I would go insane in total darkness. An added benefit of the River 2 Pro is that it is super portable weighing about 17 lbs. I can easily take it to the park, pack it for fishing or camping, or carry it upstairs to keep the kids happy during an outage. Its size and portability are great pluses when one considers all the packing that needs to be done when traveling with kids.To keep the battery in great shape, I found out that the EcoFlow should be discharged and recharged every three months. I put a reminder in my calendar and plan to hook up the Ecoflow to computers or TVs to discharge it, and then I’ll charge it. Please remember to do this because it states in the booklet “…the product will not be covered by warranty if it is not charged or discharged for more than 6 months.”My experience with the EcoFlow has been excellent. It’s a great, small power source that is portable, powerful and fast charging. It’s a critical item to have in emergencies. Besides emergencies, it’s nice to have for charging everyone’s things like computers, phones, tablets, Kindles, etc. when away from the house.A great plus is the four ways to charge the River 2 Pro—solar, USB-C, car, or AC. It really gives me a lot of options. I see solar panels in my future.I highly recommend the EcoFlow River 2 Pro for anyone looking for a compact, dependable power source.

I had previously purchased a River 2 and I use it daily to keep devices topped up overnight in my OTR truck. Its great but I wanted something more substantial for inside use so I chose the River 2 Pro. Took less than 5 minutes to unbox and hookup to the IOS app.First thing I noticed was its substantially heavier and easy to carry but I wouldn’t take it hiking though. First thing I plugged it into was my Hisense 65″ TV and ran it 4 hours straight till the battery went out. Topped it back up and left it overnight with a Netgear hotspot and a laptop and it used maybe 4%. In the morning hooked it up to the coffeemaker and used another 3%. I topped it up in a few minutes and later I took it outside and hooked it up to a portable bandsaw, a medium sized wheel grinder, Dremel and then a 7″ circular saw. Everything worked great. Surprisingly the circle saw was the greatest load (dull blade?) but I was able to make 1/2 dozen cuts with only slight drops in WH available and was the only time the internal fan kicked on. Its more than capable enough to use around my place for a few hours of repairs but you probably aren’t going to build your off grid cabin with it by itself. All in all its a great unit and will keep me comfortable in the house during short power outages. As demonstrated in the video its proved itself as a means to make repairs without dragging out extension cords. For my needs its a great unit and will get used regularly.

The River 2 Pro arrived fully charged. The firmware was up to date as well. The device is powerful enough to last for a full-day conference. Two laptops were connected at different times for a 100% charge to check in registered guests and register on-site registrants, charge the event board and a wireless mic.Because I failed to read the instructions, I assumed if I pulled in the laptop power cord it would automatically start powering. I noticed no lights on. I kept looking at the laptop and watched it go from 25% usage to 0 power source. That is when I realized it was not charging and went back to eco flow river2 pro and noticed no activity. When I clicked the button, all was good The board and wireless mic were charged to 100 in approximately 44 min each. About 2 iPhone 14 received a charge in about 45 minutes from 6% to 100cause it has only a single USB-C port, I used Baseus 8-in-1 USB Hub Docking Station to be able to accommodate iPhone and Android charging.River Pro 2 has a 5-year warranty standard warranty which is plus for the cost. I hope to not have to use the warranty but am glad to have the option. The app setup for Bluetooth was simple. I unintentionally learned how easy it is to charge via USB-c by plugging in USB-C on the hub that was plugged into the laptop. It started charging.I must admit the carry handle seems awkwardly placed. Maybe a raise up and down would be better. The location of the vents is good if you want to put in a corner to be used for my office equipment setup. I like that Eco Rive 2 Pro has a UPS pass-through function. I plan to try that function for my office as soon as I finish reorganizing my office. The small feet help placement. The App offers a lot of setting options to control.Sound – well, I did not recharge as of now the river pro 2 and it is coming to battery depletion. I wanted it to be depleted. At this stage, it got loud. I went searching for the sound and found it coming from river pro 2. I will update this original review after I investigate the sound more.UPDATE to original review – Charging the River Pro2 – I charged the river pro 2 today. It took about 62 minutes to charge from 1% to 100% in about 54 minutes. Charge time is great.

River 2 pro is my second battery from Ecoflow. First one was Delta 2. Both batteries are amazing! I’ve been using it for last few weeks and I can definitely say: it’s working great! The big one I’m gonna leave at home, while River 2 is going to my car for often overlanding trips. It is a bit expensive, but it allows for about 8 years of day-to-day usage! It was the main reason why I bought this battery. When the battery is charged from an AC, it takes about 1h to fully charge it. I used few times 220W solar panels to charge it as well, in the same time I was charging my laptop, and few other devices. It produced more power from the sun, than I could use it.For constant usage, it allowed me to run my laptop for 3-4 days.On several occasions I used it to clean my car: run vacuum cleaner, charged power tools and listened to music at the same time :)Pros:1. all power sockets on the same side2. it can be charged from AC, solar panels and usb-c! Initially I thought this one was only to charge, but the battery can be charged through usb-c as well!3. it can be lifted with one hand (weights about 17 lbs).Cons:1. the handle is standing out a bit. It is not ideal cube, making it more challenging to place in a car.2. it might be on me or my devices, but the unit is not turning off when usb-c device finished charging.Overall, I love this battery and I’m gonna recommend it to anyone who wants to listen to me :DBTW, now I’m looking for USB devices (lights, flashlights, etc) to power straight from the battery.

768Wh using X-Boost up to 1600W which is great.  I use it for 3.5 cu. ft chest freezer that consumed 89 watts.  This small power station can run 6 hrs. If it runs a 2 doors fridge full of food, it shows output of 125 watt and can also support 4 hours.  In case of power outage, if you keep the fridge or freezer door closed and power them for 2 to 3 hrs. each day the food inside will be no problem for at least 3 days. I used to run a IECO JP40 portable refrigerator and freezer, with a 100-watt portable solar panel used to charge the power station for a few hours during the day will be enough the IECO JP40 run 24/7, also keep 4 phones charge every day and connect to 3 x 350 lumens LED lights for camp site to use at night. Now with the promotion I got this free bag from EcoFlow when I purchase the River 2 pro that can hold the unit perfectively at the bottom and also have a huge separate section on the top. I can put a compact size sleeping bag, a blanket, a pair of shoes and a Toiletry Bag. The size for this back bag can use as carry-on for travel as well.

Straight out of the box it worked. Did the firmware upgrades from the app and boom perfect. After using and testing this product, I am impressed by its power output, ease of use, and durability. I have the smaller River 2 Max and wanted something with a larger batter capacity. The Rivere 2 Pro has 720Wh capacity and during my testing where I used it to power my 12v fridge for camping, it lasted over 48 hours without having to recharge it… that is really good. I didn’t prechill the fridge either, plugged it in and started this test from 77 degrees. So it had to work for a while to cool it down to 34 degrees. I used the 12V outlet for this test, but it has a wide variety of output options, including multiple AC outlets, USB-A and USB-C ports. My two favorite things about EcoFlow products are the fast charging and the LCD screen. These things charge incredibly fast, mine came out of the box with about 28% charge and was at 100% in under 45 minutes, while being plugged into the wall outlet. The LCD screen is easy to read and shows all the information needed. The EcoFlow app is pretty neat. You can see all the information that LCD screen shows and has the ability to control the power station remotely. You can adjust all the settings from the app. It’s a great tool.Downside to the River 2 Pro, the fan is a bit noisy (I posted a video of the fan noise). That’s all I can complain about right now. If it’s like my River 2 Max it will be a great addition for years to come.Overall I would recommend any of the EcoFlow product line. They just work and work well and are easy to use.

This is a fantastic new addition to Ecoflow’s line of “power houses”. If you’re like I was, you are reading these reviews in hopes of finding more sincere information about the product. I was hesitant at first to purchase this unit thinking it’s the same thing as the smaller rivers with just an incremental increase in capacity from them. Noting that output power increases with the River2 Pro, I decided to give it a shot. After receiving the River 2 Pro (very well packaged I might add) I immediately put it through its paces. So here are a few real life uses I tried. First I wanted to verify the 800 watt a/c output specification so I plugged in a 800 watt coffee maker I happened to have and it ran flawlessly (see pic), putting out slightly more than stated. Next up was the toaster that came in at 711w , a household vacuum at 450w , and of course recharging phones , laptops, running lights, large fans and my newest “fan” favorite the 5 inch USB powered fan drawing a whopping 2w on low to 4w high !!! Yes it moves air !! Next up was the pellet stove . It easily powered the fans , blowers and auger, no problems there. The stove pulled about 150w on fans and 200w only when the auger kicks on for 3-5 seconds. In reading reviews and product questions both posed on Ecoflow products and other sites, I’ve seen a lot of questions regarding whether you can run sump pumps or not. So when it comes to sumps the problem is surge power, the power initially needed to get the pump started. It’s a quick “jolt” of power, so quick its usually not observable on the screen. Anyway, I hooked the River2 Pro up to a 1/3 HP sump pump with a surge power of what I think is around 1300w -1600w. It ran like a champ! (see the video, volume up). I was instructed on how to calculate surge power on a sump to know the size generator that was needed. The general formula is this: Amps x voltage equals watts. Now when calculating surge you must multiply your amps x 4 then plug that number into the formula. My pump specifications stated it was 3.5 amps, so 14 amps x 115 volts (as stated on pump specs) equals 1610 watts of surge. Now I think this is bit over the actual surge needed but I provide the info for your consideration and your own pump’s application. That being said the River2 Pro will be great with this pump during prolonged power outages. Recharging is as easy as plugging it to an outlet or using its solar charging capabilities. Both get the job done amazingly quick overall. The ability to use the unit as it charges is an awesome feature, not unique but worth mentioning due to the speed of charging in Ecoflow units and their LiFePo technology. It allows you to use higher wattage devices with far less battery depletion as it charges when your output exceeds total input. The Ecoflow App allows for monitoring of all input, output and state of charge. (see pics). Well I bought this unit specifically for its portability and “battery life” capacity for outdoor activities, but it’s nice to know what it can do when its time to come indoors !! I’ve quickly realized that excursions to locations “not” so far off the beaten path can be made easier and so much nicer with the battery capacity of the River 2 Pro. This unit fits nicely into a small tote with room to spare for protection from elements. Its easy to get carried away with the possibilities, like throwing it on a wagon and taking everywhere a wagon will go !! So all in all, I give the River2 Pro 5 stars across the board. I highly recommend it for those seeking portable sizeable storage capacity . But more than that I recommend it for its outstanding functionality.

The 2 attached pics are when I left to go on my trip to Yuma Arizona, and the power station was fully charged when I started my trip (first pic). The car fridge uses about 45 watts per hour, and since the power station has a battery life on a full charge of 768Wh then it should have been able to run for 17 hours (wait until you see what happened on my return trip – see below). Anyway, it was about a 12 hour trip and when I got there the display read that it still had 44% charge left. So on my way back I placed the car fridge and the power station in my car while it was still about 95 degrees outside. I had the windows cracked, but it was still a hot car, so the fridge was working overtime and the power station was working in who knows how hot of a car; maybe 120 – 130 degrees. The heat probably lasted for about 4 hours. I left it in the car all night and went back home to California the next morning at 2:30am to avoid as much traffic as possible. When I got home, the power station had been running for 21.5 hours, which is 4.5 hours longer than it was supposed to run, and everything was nice and cold in the car fridge when I finally brought it inside my house. I have 2 more of these power stations from EcoFlow, but bigger versions, and I haven’t compared them with anything else, but I don’t think I really need to, as I think these are pretty much top of the line units and they work really well.

I recently purchased the EcoFlow River 2 Pro for a camping trip, and overall, I’m quite satisfied with its performance. The battery capacity and compact size make it ideal for travel, and it served me well as a power source for my CPAP machine and charging my phones. Throughout the night, it maintained a steady power supply, and I still had around 50% battery remaining when I woke up the next morning. To recharge the battery, I paired it with the compatible 220W bi-directional solar panels, which efficiently brought it back to 100% within just a few hours. The combination worked seamlessly in providing a reliable and renewable energy source. However, my experience took a disappointing turn a few months later when I attempted to use the River 2 Pro as a backup power solution for my internet and security camera system. Despite setting the charging limit to 65% in the software, the battery continued charging beyond that threshold, gradually gaining a few percentage points each day. This resulted in a frustrating scenario during a power outage when the battery suddenly shut off. Despite attempting resets and contacting customer service, the issue remained unresolved. It’s possible that I received a faulty unit, as these things can happen. My main concern lies with the customer service experience. I initially reached out through the app but received no response. I had to resort to searching online for a phone number to directly contact them. Unfortunately, the language barrier became an additional challenge, as it was difficult to communicate clearly due to the overseas customer service representatives’ limited English proficiency. After multiple email exchanges, they offered me the choice of a refund or a replacement battery. I opted for a replacement since I genuinely liked the battery’s performance. However, since then, I’ve encountered complete silence from the company—no tracking number, no confirmation of the shipment—absolutely nothing. This lack of communication and follow-through has left me quite disappointed. While I had high hopes for EcoFlow based on their reputation, my personal experience with their customer service has been extremely poor. I was considering them for a whole-house backup battery system, but I’m now hesitant to proceed. If you do decide to purchase the River 2 Pro, I hope your experience with both the product and customer service will be better than mine.UpdateI regret to say that my experience with EcoFlow’s customer service has deteriorated even further. Communication with them has become a frustrating ordeal. When they do manage to reach out, the font size of their messages is so small that it’s practically unreadable. It seems like they use pre-written scripts and fail to comprehend the actual issues at hand. It’s disheartening to continuously encounter a lack of understanding and assistance regarding my battery concerns.Despite sending my battery back to them as requested, I find myself caught in a seemingly endless cycle of delays and excuses. I have a sinking feeling that it could take weeks, if not a month, before I receive a replacement—if I ever receive one at all. I even attempted to request a return and move on to another manufacturer, but even that simple process has become an arduous challenge. It is crucial to be fully aware of the level of support you can expect from EcoFlow. Due to these recent developments, I have decided to change my rating accordingly.

After searching for an alternative to my DIY solar setup, I stumbled upon the EcoFlow River 2 Pro, and I must say it has been a game-changer for my power needs. This portable power station has not only replaced my previous solution but exceeded my expectations in terms of efficiency and convenience. I couldn’t be happier with this purchase! One of the main reasons I opted for the EcoFlow River 2 Pro was its outstanding battery performance. Testing it with my CPAP machine for four nights, I was amazed to find that it only drained the battery to 50%. This level of efficiency is truly impressive, allowing me to rely on the power station for multiple nights without worrying about recharging.Speaking of recharging, the compatibility with my existing 200W solar panels has been a breeze. With their help, I was able to recharge the River 2 Pro to full capacity in just a few hours. This quick turnaround time ensures that I always have ample power for my devices, even in remote locations where access to traditional power sources is limited.I couldn’t agree more with your observation about the app providing more information than the display screen. The EcoFlow app is a fantastic addition to this power station, offering detailed insights and control options at my fingertips. I can monitor the battery status, power output, and even turn specific ports on or off with ease. It adds an extra layer of convenience and customization to my power management. One aspect that has truly impressed me about the EcoFlow River 2 Pro is its portability and ease of use. The compact design and built-in handle make it effortless to carry around, whether I’m camping, traveling, or simply moving it from one location to another. The intuitive control panel and user-friendly interface ensure a hassle-free experience, even for those who are not tech-savvy.The build quality and durability of this power station are exceptional. I appreciate the rugged design, which gives me confidence that it can withstand various outdoor conditions and rough handling. It’s evident that EcoFlow has prioritized durability without compromising on its sleek and modern aesthetics.Lastly, I would like to commend EcoFlow for their excellent customer service. They have been responsive and knowledgeable, addressing all my inquiries promptly. It’s refreshing to see a company that genuinely values its customers and goes above and beyond to ensure their satisfaction. In summary, the EcoFlow River 2 Pro has surpassed all my expectations as a replacement for my DIY solar solution. Its outstanding battery efficiency, compatibility with solar panels, informative app, portability, and durability make it the ultimate solar power companion. If you’re seeking a reliable, efficient, and user-friendly power station, I highly recommend investing in the EcoFlow River 2 Pro. It’s a purchase that you won’t regret!

I have so far been very pleased with this Ecoflow River 2 Pro. Its display gives you all the details you might want, and the app seems to be good (although I haven’t stressed it too much). The WiFi worked very well, but the bluetooth connection appears to have a somewhat limited range, even for BT. The features are simple to understand, and the unit’s screen confirms what you expected to do – which is very helpful. The handle is a bit awkward, as others have said; it’s not like carrying a cooler full of soda – it’s more like hefting a weird package. If there is anything that needs improvement, it would be better handle placement and a more powerful 12v output port (cigarette lighter plugs are notoriously unreliable). 12v at 3A is too anemic for some uses, and I’m not going to trust the cigarette lighter output for anything critical. Love this unit, and so far it has done an exceptional job for what I’ve put it thought. I definitely would buy another, should the need arise.

I never heard of Ecoflow until reviewers on Youtube were testing solar generators. I was leaning towards Jackery, but a few reviewers were indicating Ecoflow was a better product… and they were reviewing Jackery. A few other reviewers were also hyping Ecoflow while reviewing another brand.I was surprised at all the attention Ecoflow was receiving, so I began to check out the reviews on Ecoflow. After much research, I went with the River 2 Pro as I wanted something compact but with a little bit of power. I also liked that I could reduce the charge current to increase battery life through a smart app that is Bluetooth and wifi.I tested the River 2 Pro with my car fridge and it ran (ideal conditions) for 70 hours. It also powered up my 8.5 cuft freezer which operates at low wattage. We have a few power outages here that can last anywhere from a few hours to a few days. I have a whole house generator, but the price of propane went through the roof.I just ordered the Delta 2 and Delta 2 Smart battery combo and plan to wire up my essentials (refrigerator and freezer) so I don’t have to run the whole house gen except to charge up the Ecoflow. Another great point is I can use the Delta 2 as a UPS in the event the power goes out and it will switch over without any issue. When the power returns, it will switch back to the grid.I normally like to try things out first, but the River 2 Pro worked great, and the reviewers can’t say enough about Ecoflow. Just a caution; only the Delta 2 and River 2 has the LiFePO4 battery, so when you order be sure to check that there is a 2 following River or Delta. The standard Delta and River units have Li batteries which will only last 3-500 cycles, the LiFePO4 battery will last 3-5000 cycles. Also, the charging current is set to max by default, go into the app and cut it in half. It may take 2 hours to charge your unit, but you’ll get the full amount of cycles out of your battery. Also…. never charge LiFePO4 batteries if temps are below freezing; the BMS should prevent that from happening but I’d rather not test it out, these units cost too much money

*Update! Ecoflow has done a great job with getting more people involved with their customer service process and I did receive my replacement unit. The transaction went smooth and I now have a new friend at Ecoflow. These are great products and I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase another one.* I bought the River 2 Pro during the NiceShine Prime days sale so I can understand there are going to be some issues. Having said that, when I got the unit I charged it to 100% and started plugging things into it to see what it would power. It powered everything perfectly except for a larger refrigerator that I tried. The River 2 Pro went into overload protection which is what it’s supposed to do, but then it never reset. The unit stayed in overload protection and would not charge or discharge. I contacted customer service via the Facebook group and they were helpful with getting my unit replaced.A suggestion for Ecoflow is to consider beefing up their customer service department especially during Prime Day sales when a large amount of product is being moved with a higher chance of needing customer service. I do see a lot of unhappy Ecoflow customers due to a lack of response from customer service via email and phone support. The majority of their customer service seems to be on social media which is fine, but having the ability to respond to more emails would be a benefit for everyone in my opinion. I look forward to receiving my replacement from Ecoflow as I’ve heard many great things about these products!!!

I bought this to use with an Iceco VL75 electric refrigerator/freezer cooler. We had to carry it in the back of the truck for a one week trip in hot/humid, then hot/dry weather in two states, Texas and New Mexico with a tonneau cover on the truck bed. We tested this during the hot day and had to shut it down by 11:30 am in hot/humid South Texas. Both the cooler and the power supply were shut down to cool until our next test in the evening. I discharged the power unit using two fans plugged in and it didn’t take too long and recharged to 100% while we had the cooler plugged in and getting cold/frozen in the garage for night use in the back of the bed. This power unit and the cooler worked flawlessly overnight and in the early morning for a total of 10 hours. So, no sunlight on the truck bed with the tonneau cover and it was great.. So, we ordered a 25ft 12 volt extension cord for our 2018 dodge ram 1500 to run from the truck and into the bed of the truck, and did the same test using it to power the cooler. The cooler worked great until it just got so hot under there it shut down. I realized then that the Max load was in use on the cooler so I changed it to Eco mode and it worked great. We just opened the tonneau cover at each stop to allow the heat out of the back of the bed before we hit the road again. No more issues. Then when we stopped for a short time we disconnected the 12volt and put it back on this power supply. When finished the power supply went back into the a/c cab and we were back on 12 volt for the cooler. So, just do your testing, know what it can all handle and you won’t have any problems. I am glad we ordered this and the cooler, it made the traveling so much better than I would have ever imagined. No more ice melted and things floating in the cooler, no more wet food. Nothing spoiled in the frig and nothing thawed in the freezer. I love this Ecoflow.

We recently picked up this unit along with an ECOFLOW Delta 2 and solar panels at the substantial Memorial Day Sale. All told I think we saved over $1,000 vs. the typical price. and feel a bit more prepared for the heavy hurricane season we’re anticipating here in Florida. We’re very pleased.LIKESOVERALL IMPRESSIONS – This is a handsome, nicely made piece of equipment. It feels solid in every way and with the built-in handle it’s very easy to pick up and carry about, (as long as you’re not going too far!) The layout with the display and A/C outputs all on the same side is better than on the Delta 2.USE AS EPSECOFLOW advertises that you can leave these units plugged into wall power with your devices connected on a pass-through basis, and the unit will seamlessly take over when the wall power fails, which was what I wanted. It works. They’re careful to say the switchover from wall to battery power may not be quick enough to keep some computers from shutting down (like a true “UPS”) but my laptop with its own battery never blinked. The app reported this tiny cube would run my cable modem, router, laptop, smart speaker, and dual 20″ monitors for about 7 hours; or a bit more with the external monitors off. We work from home, and this will be a great help in power outages large or small.BATTERY CHEMISTRYGlade to see the Lifepo4 chemistry that trades a bit of energy density for roughly 3x the charge cycles. This unit should last as long as we need itCAPACITYWe decided on this unit and a Delta 2 instead of one bigger unit so we can place them around the house, plugged in to critical devices and ready to go in an emergency. At 700+ claimed watt hours, this is substantial backup power source in a very compact, easy to carry package. We have this one set up in a bedroom to take over lights and run a fan. It will be nice for every single thing in the house to not go black the second we lose power, which even without hurricanes happens a few times a year in our area.APPECOFLOW’s app is slick, sophisticated and great to use. I like the images of the respective devices that lets you look at each one in turn, and that both this and the Delta 2 can connect to Bluetooth and Wi-fi. The Delta took a while to get it to connect to our network, but the little RIVER 2 PRO connected instantly. Just a breeze to set up.NOT SO LIKESNot much with this unit, frankly. It’s a little odd that both this and the larger Delta 2 we bought won’t register the amount of power being drawn if it’s below a certain level. For example, we moved the Delta 2 to my home office and set this one up to run a couple of small LED lights, a larger LED lamp, and an Echo 5 smart speaker/alarm clock in the bedroom, with plans to connect a tower fan in the event of a summer blackout. With the fan running, it will show the power draw (about 40 watts total) but with just the lights and the NiceShine device, it shows 0 output, although it will still calculate runtime. Good to know it will run the small items a long time though.SUMMARY/RECOMMENDATIONThis is a great device. I’d almost suggest getting more of these for the kind of setup we have, except I’m not sure the little RIVER 2 PRO would do as well with my wife’s electric kettle, which runs perfectly from the Delta 2 and is a necessity for making sure she is properly caffeinated (which is more of a necessity for my personal safety and comfort than it might seem). For car camping or running a kiosk or something, it would be absolutely perfect in many circumstances. I have no notes for ECOFLOW except that more power for less money is always appreciated.FIVE STARS

If you’re a mobile Dj or sound guy, this is for you!!!!!!READ EVERY DETAIL!!!!!I had an invent in church this Sunday, where we celebrated Corpus Cristi where we do a procession throughout the streets every year. Normally we rent the Honda EU2200i inverter (what we all typically use) to achieve this, but this time around I purchased this lil’guy and gave it a try.For those who are familiar with pro audio equipment, I ran this battery pack to feed power to two (2) QSC k10’s (continuous 1000 watts RMS each speaker) at full volume from the mixer and speakers (also used compression to gain maximum audio and avoid clipping/distortion from all channels onto as well as master channel fader). I also had two mics (MC’s) also compressed those two mics with proper gain staging from the mixer — this battery never dropped/bogged down or cut power and always maintained and provided pure sine wave power. The highest output wattage from the battery pack I witnessed from the cellphone app was about 350watts outpower; of which, we had plenty of headroom to either add more speakers or more gadgets to the RIver 2 Pro.Prior to using this I charged the battery completely — I used this battery pack non-stop for about 2-3hrs at full sound blast, and only used up 29% of battery and still had 71% left. The app and battery pack displayed anywhere between 2-5 hrs left of battery life to be used until it completely drained. If this pack handled it well, imagine the biggest one they offer that powers your house; what can it do!HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT TO ALL DJ’S AND SOUND GUYS!!!!!Of course, all this fluctuates and battery use will vary depending on how much you push your equipment. Nonetheless, this battery pack handled it super easy.I also have to mention that the reason why I chose to buy this was because my 40v inverter from Ryobi did an “okay” job even if I used a 40v 4ah and 6ah combined with a combo adapter. Since I was only using 1 battery, I had to keep an eye it did not go over 240w if not it would drop for a split second and come back on almost instantly. Trust me, this inverter from Eco is the way to go. Buy it!

I would give this product one if I could, if I knew that this review would be seen, but since the algorithm only allows for five stars to be seen first, and very few people actually look at the lower reviews I decided to give it five stars so that someone can see this and save themselves the trouble I purchased this on May 31, 2024 on receiving the package on June 4. I opened it up. The documentation with the unit says that they’re supposed to be a solar panel. there was not, I find this ad very misleading. I’ve already contacted the seller and the manufacturer directly. Neither one has been of help so far the unit works fine with a power unit, but defeats the purpose. If you need it for solar recharging as it did not come with a solar panel . So if you need to charge it with the solar panel steer clear of this seller and this ad.

I actually love this thing, it’s even cheaper than trying to build an equivalent systems entirely DIY (based on the pricing when I was weighing the options) and it’s been solid overall. But I’m breaking rank from all the 5 stars to criticize two things that should and could easily be better.1. The app requires that your phone has an internet connection, so mobile data or wifi. Why? Cause they also force you to login and they want to push notifs for marketing and such. There’s no other reason why a bluetooth connection between the power supply and your phone would need to involve mobile data. This is frustrating if you plan to do boondocking or otherwise don’t want to be tethered to cell coverage. It’s unnecessary, it’s like if your Bluetooth headphones stopped working if you didn’t have data. Dumb and pointless. The good part is the app is more of a luxury than a necessity, so when it doesn’t work cause I’m out in the woods away from the 5G addicted campers, it’s not a huge loss. But it’s still dumb.2. The stand is laughable. When I first got this and set everything up in my apartment I was like “I must be missing something” but I wasn’t. The stand being the case is great, but the execution of making the case a stand is soooooo bad, especially if there will be any amount of wind. This is moot if you’ll be mounting them somewhere, but otherwise, plan to bring something else to actually provide support. Most of the time I can learn them against my truck plus I have a step ladder for added options.Neither of these issues are a deal breaker, I’m still extremely happy with this unit. But I wanted to make this review about these two dumb problems just to add some breadth to the reviews. Just to give you, the consumer probably up to some cool stuff, more info to base your decision on.

I initially had issues as my first set of solar panels arrived damaged. It took almost a month to get them replaced, no fault on ECOFLOW, I believe the shipping company was at fault. Nonetheless, this battery bank and solar panels worked great for a three-week road trip! The solar panels themselves are a bit on the heavy side and have a weird hinge system with their bag as a support, but I only used them a few times to top off the battery bank! The battery itself is awesome and charges quickly even on 12v vehicle power. I just wish I bought a higher capacity bank!

I initially liked the EF ECOFLOW Solar Generator RIVER 2 Pro 768Wh Portable Power Station and its accompanying 160W Portable Solar Panel. However, after testing, I found the generator didn’t meet my wattage and runtime needs, prompting me to return it.While the smaller solar panel design appealed to me, I wasn’t sure if it offered a better configuration than other panels, like those from Anker, which I eventually opted for despite their difficult to handle design.Despite the product not working out for me, I must commend EF ECOFLOW’s outstanding customer service. They were attentive and supportive throughout the return process, which left a positive impression. In hindsight, I would consider purchasing from them again due to their exceptional customer care.

This was just what I was looking for in a portable unit – it has four plug connections, plenty of connections for what I need. Unless you are using a heavy power draw device it will run most things long enough to get the job done. You can charge your USB devices easily as well – which is great since everything today seems to be USB. It’s about the size of a car battery and so it fits anywhere in the car. Great for camping, picnics or any outdoor event where you would need power for fans, lights, radios, phone or device charging. Researching all available brands this one stood out for quality and features. I’m very pleased with my purchase.

This battery provided enough power to run a french door refrigerator that my neighbor owns who did not have any backup power during the Houston hurricane power outage. This battery provided power for their refrigerator for approximately 5 hours and then they brought it back over to us to recharge it, and back and forth it went for several days. I used it on a camping trip to supply power for my Bi-PAP machine and it worked great. I highly recommend this battery, and I like the app on the phone that connects to the battery to see the power levels, both being discharged and showing the recharge rate, along with approximate times remaining based on the current activity.

Overall I like it but if you have to rely on the solar panels to charge you may be in trouble. I charged it through the wall and it charged to 100% from 28% in less than 60 minutes. The plugs work well and it’s very quiet. I just installed the solar panels and I have it on my balcony as I’m writing this. I made sure my battery was at 99% before plugging it in. It said 10 min till full charge but that was 15 min ago. It still says 10 minutes to charge and it’s in direct sunlight. The highest input I got was 45 watts and it hovers around 40-45. Hopefully as time goes on this is just a one time thing. I know I’ll need to keep this thing charged so I don’t have to use the solar panels.

A powerstation is typically not something that the average person would think about outside of an emergency. I only knew about portable power packs to charge my phone and maybe a laptop, depending on it’s size. I only recently learned about these in 2024. Power stations have changed the way that I do many things. The idea of having power nearly anywhere has allowed me to find nooks to be creative anywhere. They have allowed to expand my range when working remotely. We had a recent hurricane and power was out for over a week in summer heat. These allowed us to stay cool by running fans and keeping our devices charged. This particular power station is awesome for my use cases. It charges in about an hour. Pleasant surprise. It has exceeded my expectations.

The River 2 Pro Power Station packs a lot of ‘juice’ in such a small box. It looks great and feels solid with very good quality. This is my first time using a battery device and generator like this.It was purchased to power a portable CPAP machine for 8 days on a Utah river rafting trip. Based on the specs of the CPAP machine, the plan is 3 days for 10 hours per night at 20 watts/ hr. with a 20% margin for heat loss using the machine’s 120 volt power brick. So, to recharge and power the remaining time, the 160 watt EcoFlow solar panel/generator should be sufficient to extend usage on river for 2 hours per day.Rig is working at home under ideal circumstances and actually achieved 4 nights of usage at 8 hours per night at 19 watts per hour with 20% remaining on the power station. So far, I’m very happy!I haven’t tried the solar generator yet, but plan to test it soon. I’ll update later.*******UPDATE:River Pro 2 performed much better than expected!1) the Trip changed. I used CPAP powered by River Pro 2 for 7 nights 8 hours per night.2) I upgraded to an oem,12 volt DC power supply for the CPAP machine which reduced the actual wattage consumption to less than 8 watts/hr rather than 20 watts using standard 120 volt power plug/adaptor supplied by the manufacturer.3) The 12v plug/power brick offered by the oem drew 60% less energy than the standard 120 volt power supply.4) Because of weight/space limitations, I chose to not carry the 160 Watt solar panel on the river.5) I tested the solar panel recharging the River Pro 2 upon my return home for 1 hour on a bright sunny day. I layed the panel flat on the ground (not aimed at the sun). It produced 137 watts of energy over the hour.6) To ensure the battery did not get wet or exposed to physical abuse, I sealed it in a plastic garbage bag and carried it in a 24 can soft cooler for protective padding. In summary, the River Pro 2 performed flawlessly! Invest in protection for the device. Take care of your equipment, and it will take care of you!

I wrote a previous review , which I just deleted, I’d like to write a new one based on facts I have learned since my first review. No, the Eco Flow will not accept an 8mm barrel connector, as Jackery or the smaller Bluetti’s do, and Eco Flow does NOT, supply you with any adapter from 8mm to XT60 , (xt60 connector is on most larger power stations, sort of shaped like a figure 8 with one square side). So, I was complaining about Eco Flow River 2 Pro…….HOWEVER, I should have made it clearer, that the Eco Flow itself is a fantastic power station, and it dawned on me, to return the SOLAR PANEL, to one that comes with the XT60, instead of returning the Eco Flow 2 Pro. So, Thats what Im doing , and re -writing this review. Because , I could have just as easily complained about the solar panel NOT INCLUDING an XT60 adapter. Point being if your new ( like me) to “solar” , and youre buying things MAKE SURE, the wiring connector ends are correct, of you’ll be back here ording adapters, that may or may not work.

I love this thing so far! We use it during travel for running a 12V cooler and charging devices in the truck. We can leave things powered while the truck is off and recharge it while driving. This thing has the ability to charge VERY fast on AC power which is extremely handy. We’ve found the power station to be so useful that we just purchased a second unit. The only thing that I think is missing is the ability to control all features from the front panel (X-mode, charge rate, etc). I agree with the reviewer that said we shouldn’t need to rely purely on an app for these settings.

I have only received the RIVER 2 PRO. I haven’t had a power outage since I received it, but it is quite easy to use. The DELTA 2Max is out of stock, but Ecoflow has assured me it will be back in stock in just a few days and they will expedite the shipping. If I have another power outage, I’ll come back and add to my review. The representative I spoke with was very pleasant and helpful. My son has some of these generators and solar panels and loves them. He uses them daily, not just when the power is out.

I bought two of these to run critical loads in case the power goes out: My fridge, and my sump pump. It’s capable of running the fridge for about 5 hours. This was easy to test, since the draw is constant after the initial compressor startup. The sump pump, I’m not sure how long it would last, because its draw is for 10 seconds at a time, intermittently, every minute or two. It would depend on how much water is flowing into the pit. I’ve seen projections that suggest it could go about a day and a half to two days. But the point is, it can handle the startup wattage surge needed to run these, which means this unit is right-sized for my emergency needs. These units will allow me to defer buying a whole-house backup generation solution for a few years, which is a win, in my book. When they’re empty, I can drive them somewhere that has power, plug them in, and they’ll be fully recharged in 60-90 minutes to last for another several hours. If I needed to I could buy a gas generator just to recharge these. However, the automatic failover while I’m sleeping is key.I’ve seen lots of manual transfer switches for whole-house battery backup systems, but I don’t want to have to wake up in the middle of the night and notice there’s an outage. These things will simply handle the failover in a very eloquent way. I appreciate that. They’re a perfect temporary solution while the market works on providing a better, *automatic* transfer switch for whole-house backups. (Last I checked, EcoFlow’s only offering is a manual one.)And as a side benefit, once I’ve installed whatever whole-house solution I’m going to go with, if these still have any life left, they will be a really cool thing to bring camping or on a picnic. Or out into the yard if I’m hosting a get-together. Versatile, portable power is always cool.

I conducted 2 tests with the Ecoflow River 2 Pro 768Wh.Using shore power my Setpower RV45D PRO 12V Refrigerator was brought to 34F degrees in Eco mode and loaded with drinks.1. Connected the fridge to the 12V socket. Power Station went from 100% to 10% in 57 hours. This was only the 3rd charge of the PS. Recharged the Power Station to 100%. It takes a little over an hour to fully charge.2. Connected the fridge to the 110v socket. Power Station went from 100% to 15% in 25 hours. My assumption would be the conversion to 110v takes more battery, but I don’t claim to know if that’s true. The fridge pulled between 45-70 watts when the compressor was running according to the App on my phone and the PS itself. At no time did I open the fridge like you might in normal usage.I mostly use It to get from one place to another.I have NOT tried charging the Power Station from 12v or solar yet. (no solar panel)I bought this because my truck does not have power in the pickup bed. This Ecoflow unit does what I want it to do for the price I paid so I’m completely satisfied.I like the App.I would like to try a larger Ecoflow unit but don’t want to spend the money.I have not used any other brand.

I cancelled my order for the ECOFLOW Portable Power Station RIVER 2 Pro as I decided the Anker power station would better serve our needs. Mind you it was less then 24 hours that I cancelled my order on NiceShine and EcoFlow already had a shipping tracking #. I think the reason they do this is if you cancel your order they charge a transaction fee if you apply for the refund 24 hours after the order is placed and before delivery has been made (2.6% for credit card users, 3.6% for PayPal users, 3.5% for Affirm users, 3.3% for Klarna users). I contacted NiceShine to let them know I cancelled my order with OnTrac as well. In the meantime EcoFlow messaged me through NiceShine assuring me they would do their best to keep the power station from shipping out. I even went on OnTrac website and entered my shipping # and it showed they had not received the power station from EcoFlow so I cancelled the shipment on OnTrac website. Well long story short they shipped it out anyway and today it arrived. I called EcoFlow and it showed it had been delivered but the person I talked to couldn’t email a shipping label to send it back supposedly only logistics could e-mail a shipping label. I informed him I wanted to ship it back with either UPS or FedEx as we do not have any way to send it back through OnTrac they only have a warehouse in another town that receives deliveries and no phone #. It has been a nightmare to try and get this returned and NiceShine can’t issue a return label because it’s a third party seller in fact when I tried to start a return it stated this item cannot be returned !!! I will never buy another third party item on NiceShine again. I have spent thousands of dollars with NiceShine for many years and this is the first time they could not do anything but message the seller. NiceShine should state on these items they do not handle third party returns I have already purchased the Anker so I now owe over a $1000 for 2 power stations and at this point I do not trust I will get a return label from EcoFlow !!!! Update: Hours after I submitted this review I received a message on NiceShine from EcoFlow with an apology and a return label to print out I was instructed to call FedEx to pick up the power station which I did they came out the next day picked it up and it is now enroute to EcoFlow. Next hurtle is getting the refund back to Affirm so there may be another update.

I have a 6800 Watt gasoline generator from when I lived in the hurricane zone. It powered my house for 12 hours on 5 gallons of gas. It’s over kill for my current needs and is a pain to store away after a couple hours of use.I wanted something for back up in my rural cabin during occasional severe weather power outages that happen a couple of times a year. For a short time I had the Ef EchoFlow River 288Wh/1200W but it is a Lithium battery and only powered my needs for 3 hours. After one use I returned it for the River 2 Pro.After more research I bought this River 2 Pro unit. It powers my All-In-One computer, router, multiple LED lights and one pot of coffee over 12 hours. It only took an hour to recharge to 100%.It’s my Goldilocks power unit.

Edit: I had to call EcoFlow. I received the tracking numbers. Changed rating from 3. Will add another edit once I get product.Helene left us without power for a week. Possible more storms coming and I want to be better prepared. I ordered this item September 30 with expectation of delivery between October 4-9. Today I received a FedEx delivery and NiceShine notice shows product delivered. I get home to find a package that only contains the cable that connects the Solar Panel to the Battery…Here is my problem: I reached out through NiceShine only to get a return response from the seller explaining how their logistics works. That “for safety” my order was sent in different shipments and that NiceShine only gives 1 tracking number. I requested that I be sent the additional tracking numbers, with no response as of yet. NiceShine shows delivered (repeating). This a significant amount of money to be down, with no way of knowing that they will follow through with the remaining parts with (repeating) NiceShine showing delivered. I will be happy to re-rate this product once someone gets back with me with my additional tracking numbers.

I finally got one of my own after having to borrow my friend’s ECOFLOW battery 4 times during random power outages. Really easy to use and recharge. Used it to power a floor lamp and charge some phones and a laptop during one blackout. Also got a 110W ECOFLOW solar panel and it works seamlessly with the battery – literally just open the panel and plug it in and it charges automatically. Ended up getting a 2nd River 2 Pro for our medium sized refrigerator since our last power outage lasted >16 hours and we ended up throwing out at least $200 worth of food. It’s supposed to be able to handle a 120W fridge for 6.1-12.2 hrs so hopefully that will buy enough time to prevent food from spoiling

I purchased two River 2 Pros, one with the bundled 220w panels right after the storm and only received them this week so first impressions for now. The Rivers are about the size and weight of a 12 bottle pack of beer with numerous power ports. I’m old(er) and not super fit so the size and weight should work well, the intention being to charge swap units to keep a small refrigerator and, maybe a camp light running during power outages. The panels are kind of big and definitely heavier than my existing 100w unit (which was extremely useful after the storm and would have been more so had I invested in power storage). It’s certainly not a hiking accessory. The kickstands look pretty good, though I would save the interior packing to protect the panels since the stands are integral and might scratch while the panels are folded.Delivery was quick and everything was well protected for transit. Their customer care was kind enough to address my concern about separate delivery of the bundle which I was actually warned about before the order shipped but got myself confused. The only issue I have, immediately, is the lack of storage options for connectors and cable. Neither the batteries nor the panels, though they have a protective case, have space or winding hooks.

I’ve had this setup 6 months, with 5 camping trips under my belt with it. Over 2 weeks of consistent usage. I only charge and use the unit with the solar panel, the only times I’ve used the car charger or the wall charger was charging the unit in the car on the way to a camping trip if I forgot to setup the panel the day before. Each day of each trip I would set the panel up with the generator first, to get the most charging out of the unit. I usually average (170-200) input watts as long as I clean the dust on the unit if I was out somewhere dusty. Most nights I would put it out facing towards where the sun would rise so that I’d get the first rays of light on the panel powering the generator before everyone got up.Heres what I could power/charge in a day and still have 30%-60% charge remaining after having the solar out the whole day and moving it once after lunch.- 4 phones full charge from 0%- A camping refrigerator 220kwh kept at 17fh 24/7- 3 string lights for an EZ-up for over 4 hours in the evening – 3 battery packs 10,000mAh , 20,000 mAh, and 25,000 mAh each powering a battery powered solar shower, or seperate battery pack for small speakers- 1 giant outdoor speaker, not sure the wattage but it stays powered the whole time. Mine is like those big ion speakers but it’s a waterproof one from here on NiceShine.( I tried an air fryer one trip and that was too ambitious)There’s lots of Pros already so here’s some Cons- if you’re right next to the generator whilst charging there is a slight fan noise- there’s only a plug in for 1 solar panel- you must wipe the panel down if you’re camping in dusty conditions to get the most charge out of the unit.- for anything with a wall charger on it, you must press and hold and activate button for the slot in order for it to work, this wasn’t an issue for me.. but for camping with others I found this to be a common question across all trips and I often times had to stop what I was doing to go press a little button that was almost invisible to everyone but me to use anything with a wall charger.

This came the day before a hurricane arrived. While we were very fortunate that the impact on us was minimal, the EcoFlow almost made it seem like nothing was going on. At first, we’d lose power for a few minutes and then have to wait for the modem, computer and tv to reboot. Once connected, it stayed connected with no rebooting. As a UPS, it was flawless. I’m keeping it connected at least until hurricane season is over. Now buying two more ( different sizes) and solar panels.

I bought it to take on camping trips. But it was very useful when we lost power at home for Three days. It ran my fridge and a freezer for 2 hours straight and I would charge it at my neighbor’s house for an hour. This is a fast-charge model.

Solar Panel is good size & heavy.Device looks like pics. Haven’t needed to try it just yet. Charged up from wall outlet thru UPS/Surge outlet so it may have taken longer than usual. Haven’t had to use yet. But if it is like the smaller one I ordered will be set when time comes.

This is a GREAT product. we bought 2, one of them was defective but as soon as I reached out to the company, they interacted and are sending return labels and a replacement. The product itself is so easy to use whether you use the solar bit or the plug in. Ran my laptop, a phone charger, and a small lamp without issue for many hours. That is why I bought 2, one for me and one for him LOL At least in a power outage we will be able to stay connected, the other one handled our Starlink modem, a laptop and a phone charger without a hiccup. Just love this !!!

got this at a great price and have only done limited testing so far. Have not use it in a “critical” situation yet. It came with only a 28% charge, but when I plugged it in it said it would take 49 minutes to reach 100% and it pretty well did it in almost exactly 49 minutes. Wish I had gotten this BEFORE Helene moved through, it sure would have come in handy !

got this as a back up for my apartment and for when I go camping. Used it when camping and it worked great but the unit is slow to charge using the solar panel. I was in a field that had direct sunlight from 9am till 8:30 PM and it would take a large majority of the day for the unit to charge. I was wondering if it was just mine but my buddy also had one and his also took most of the day to charge using the panel. Besides the slow charge time I was very happy with how long I could run things once the battery was charged.

Briefly, as there are numerous reviews. Just wanted to mention while it does charge up fast (being plugged in), I wish it held its charge for longer.I have a large one, different brand, and I’m shocked at how long it holds its full charge. Like only losing 1% charge over 3-4+ months. This model was down about 80% in a month or so. (Not sure if its defective?) I’ll have to charge it and actually time it so that I don’t give incorrect information. The weight and portability of this unit is excellent.Yep, still recommend it for your smaller needs.

This generator is so much easier to connect to the solar panel than the other two brands we have used, and the panels are significantly lighter and less bulky. We (fortunately) haven’t had a need to use it yet, but made sure it would fully charge using both panel and plug which it did. The display options are user friendly and easy to read.

Unfortunately, this arrived late and wasn’t available for a recent road trip from CT to FL and back, so my comments are from running this at home. At 17 lbs., combined with its compact size, the unit is easier than expected to navigate. The charge completed in less than an hour. Morning coffee is a priority for me and it wasn’t clear if the unit has enough power for a Keurig. I tested this first thing, fully expecting the unit to choke but it ran the Keurig through with no problem. Being able to have a coffee first thing, without fumbling for a camp stove, is a huge bonus. I then connected a car refrigerator. I’m 14 hours in with 58% battery reserve remaining. In extreme heat, I’d guess that the battery usage will be higher. Since 14 hours is longer than I’d ever expect to be stationary without access to a plug, this should be more than adequate to run the refrigerator, while also charging laptops, phones, cameras, and running a small fan or a light, inflating an air mattress, etc. This isn’t likely to run a microwave or a hair dryer, although based on the Keurig performance, it’s possible that it could run a hot plate for a short amount of time. I’ll update if my views change after real world use but based on my first impressions, I’d definitely recommend this unit.

This things a beast and can power most things. It shows how much power something is using and how much time you’ll get out of it. If something uses under 10 watts of power tho sometimes it won’t show you how much is being used which isn’t a big deal. The app is fast and gets right to the point. The only con I have is that you cannot shut the wifi or bluetooth off. I understand it’s for connecting to the app but it uses unnecessary power to keep them both on and tho its not alot, sometimes that little bit will make a differencewhen ypu need it most. You will notice battery drain and it kind of defeats the purpose of portable power if it drains before using it. Besides that it’s a great solar generator. Fast charging is great! The ecoflow line has always treated me good and ill continue to buy them going forward

Purchased in Oct of 2024. Plugged in to charge and then will power my compressor cooler for 48 hrs. This year I bought an echoflow 175 watt solar panel for it and works great right up untill a nice sunny day where it will fully charge and then overload.I have to unplug it from solar, shut it down and then plug it back in. Am I missing something or doing something wrong?I want to set it up in a van but this is not going to do.

This is a review of the Ecoflow River 2 Pro Portable Power Station and 160 Watt Portable Solar Panel package deal, purchased in 2024 for use in North AmericaImportant: The solar panel and Power station are shipped separately from different locations and will probably arrive on different days. I received an email informing me about this after placing my order. In my case the solar panel arrived about a week before the power station. The day the power station was supposed to arrive, I got a message that they were out of stock and it would be delayed by two weeks, and they offered me a link to cancel the order and get a refund if I didn’t want to wait. Despite that message, the power station actually arrived the next morning. Two weeks later a third package arrived containing a cable to connect the solar panel to the power station. The solar panel package already included this cable, so now I have two.Solar Panel:When folded up and in the included carrying bag it is about 60cm by 60cm (2ft by 2ft) and weighs about 5kg (11 pounds). Unfolded it is about 60cm tall by 2m wide (2ft tall by 6ft wide). It has two built-in metal kickstands to hold it at the proper angle to the sun.The panel has built-in cables about 1m (3ft) long with standard male/female connectors. Another 2m (6ft) cable was included that has male/female connectors on one end and the plug that fits in the power bank on the other end. Using only the included cables, the power bank has to be within 3m (9ft) of the solar panel. I ordered a generic 6m (20 foot) cable from NiceShine to extend that distance. The panel is light and will need to be secured if the weather conditions are windy. The panel has holes in the corners that you could thread some paracord loops through to help tie/stake it down.I tested it at Noon on a sunny day with a bit of haze in mid-December near 45 Degrees North latitude. Temperature was about -12C (10F). The panel is rated at 160 watts. The power bank reported it was charging at 140 watts from the panel, so it was pretty close to the rating, and better than I expected. When the shadow of a tree branch crossed the corner of one panel, the charging power dropped to 100 watts. In perfect conditions, this panel could charge the power bank from empty to full no faster than 4.8 hours (768 watt-hours / 160 watts = 4.8 hours). In real-life conditions a full charge on solar will take longer.I will probably not be using the panel often, but it will be nice to have the option available.Power Bank:The power bank is about 25cm wide by 25cm tall by 10cm thick (10in by 10in by 8in), weighs about 8kg (17 pounds) and has a convenient carrying handle. It has a flat top so you can stack things on top of it.The AC and Solar ports to charge it are on the back. The power outlets are on the front. The unit has three USB-A ports (12W max) and one USB-C (100W max)There are four AC outlets and a button that can turn the AC inverter on or off.It also has a 12-volt automotive socket, two 12 volt barrel sockets, and a button that can turn the 12 volt power on or off.A small LED screen shows info about the amount of charge, power in, power out, hours remaining, and other useful stuff. You need to install an app on your phone to configure all of the features of the power bank, and to load any firmware updates. The app connected to my device without any problems, and is pretty easy to use. When it arrived the charge was at 30 percent. I plugged it into an outlet (110volt mains power), and was it fully charged in less than an hour.Use:My primary intended use is to keep my internet access running during power outages. My neighborhood gets a couple of outages per year, usually less than a day long. I work from home and I need internet access for this.I set the power unit up as a UPS for my internet cable modem and Wi-Fi router. The unit is plugged in to an AC outlet and is providing AC power to my devices while keeping the battery charged. When I simulated a power outage by unplugging the power unit, it quickly switched to battery power and the internet and all my devices stayed connected. The unit reported that it could keep them running on battery power for about 28 hours. This device appears to have more than enough power to keep my internet running, and me employed, through a one-day power outage.I also tested a CPAP machine with a built-in humidifier running on one of the power unit’s AC outlets. This CPAP drained it from 100% charge to 45% in one night.Overall I am pleased with the quality and usefulness of the device for my intended purpose.

For the most part, this product worked fine. Worked with dehumidifier (~350w) and portable heater (~800w). However not enough 12v amps for tire inflator. Had to use car 12v outlet on my EV instead for the inflator. Also not enough power to start a gas dryer. Limited to 220w solar charging as advertised.

We haven’t needed to use this for a power outage yet, but we do live in hurricane region so we needed something to get us past the initial power outages until we can hook up our portable generator. It is easy to use, simple instructions, and has a few different powering options. The fastest is to plug it in to an electrical socket, so it’s best to have this charged up (the charge lasts a long time) if the weather is looking bad. We did test it out on lights and fans and the only disappointment is that our coffee pot is 950 watts and this only goes to 800. Also our microwave is too high a wattage. Our next purchase is an inexpensive microwave that is less than 800 watts. We just need enough power to have lights, fans, and a way to heat food until we can get the generator going, and this is so simple and easy and is stored and used indoors.

Okay, I did not get it for this purpose and just found out about a week ago when I got it to play with it. I tried out different lights, fans, radios, etc. Still am going to try more things later. I bought an EFEcoflow Delta 2 Max with 2 solar panels last year and have used it a few times for various work related and music related purposes and it work perfectly. It is heavy (like 60 lbs) and I thought i would get a smaller ECOFLOW to run a few items on while the other is charging off the sun or otherwise. More than pleased with the Smaller ECOFLOW.This one is only 17 pounds. It will not run a frig or big TV for more than an hour maybe 2 and I couldn’t use it for my job and career fairs where I run 5-6 devices for up to 8 hours. The Delta does this easily though.I am a musician, and my group of 4 play lots of indoor and outdoor gigs. I do have a Westinghouse inverter 2000W generator that I have used for the outdoor stuff and it has been great for about the last 5 years. Pretty quiet but the ECOFLOW is silent and no fumes so I can use it inside or outside. I have used the big delta a couple of time indoors – there were no inhouse plugs close by without running 100′ or extension cord. It worked great but again it is heavy to haul around. Here we go…….Epiphany/Discovery Time! I can run my whole musical group setup from the smaller ECOFLOW! Easily! for 30 hours or more. I still can’t believe it! I just kept plugging in my equipment one thing at a time and it all works for much longer than I will ever need it.So here’s my setup – Behringer 1600W Amp/mixer combo – 2 big Peavey passive speakers (15 inch woofers and horn drivers for high end) – a smaller Behringer keyboard amp/mixer monitor – a full size Yamaha keyboard – and last but not least (and I really don’t use this as part of my regular setup but I wanted to see how much this thing could handle) a Peavy Keyboard amp/speaker combo. Oh, I also had a large Harbinger, powered speaker, that I hauled out of the storeroom and plugged it in too. If you have lost count, that’s 5 devices total. The ECOFLOW still only showed about 70W of output and that it would be able to run for 25-30 hours. Crazy! It will run about 4-5 light bulbs for maybe 4 hours but all this stuff for much, much longer than I will ever need it for. Who would have guessed?I play in a string group with 1 cello, 1 violin, 1 flute and 1 keyboard. All instruments have pickups and mics running into the big Behringer Amp including the keyboard. So, getting back to my actual performance setup, that’s 4 instruments and 3 electronic devices to give sound to everything. It works! and not just for a few minutes or a few hours but would run it all for 30+ hours! That’s nuts. I assume all of these electronics take very little input and then internally amp those inputs up to what it required. Sorry, I am not an engineer – I don’t really care how it works – it just does, beautifully. What a great discovery!

I bought this to have some backup power as one does with a backup battery. Luckily for me I had my first opportunity to use it within a couple months after purchasing. Big storm came through and knocked out the power for dozens of blocks including mine. No big deal, I have a backup battery! I push the button to turn it on and… 0% battery.Keep in mind this is about 2 months after charging it up. I’m thinking wtf did it dud out on me that quickly? Nope this battery just won’t hold a charge. Period. I should say it won’t hold it for long. Be ready to put a recurring event on your calendar to charge this if you decide to buy it. Attached photo shows it’s at 90% and I charged it 3 days ago.The best way I can describe my feelings is I’m f’ing pissed. How the hell can this claim to be a backup battery if it continuously discharges itself to 0%?!! I’ve seen batteries that discharge to save themselves but they at least hold 50% (Ego batteries). My kindle can sit for months and still be at 50% at least when I pick it up to read again!! A kindle!I’ve owned this battery for over a year now and have hardly used it. Simply because when I need it, it’s dead. Granted, I could babysit the thing and regularly make sure it’s charged. But I don’t want to, and I shouldn’t have to.Besides that aggregious flaw the battery is phenomenal. Lots of power when fully charged and does everything you could want in a portable battery. I originally was going to give it at least 2 stars because it does work well. Thinking more about it though I just can’t bring myself to do it. Everytime I’ve needed it, it has let me down.

It arrived fast. It was charged halfway when it came, and it charged super fast. It is a great deal for the money.

Was looking for something to keep my home online, a lamp or two on, and phones charged in the event of a prolonged power outage. Also something to use for miscellaneous instances. This device is extremely well built, and lives up to its claims. Battery is very impressive. I wanted to see if it could power my full size fridge, and to my surprise this thing indeed did run my fridge for a couple hours. Honestly I think the best part is the charge time. A full battery charge from 0-100% (if you don’t care about that) is only a little more than 60 mins. Also current deal on NiceShine throws in the carrying bag/backpack for free. Great deal!

Using this to power a astrophotography setup. It is compact, has plenty of outputs and a good variety of them. The battery capacity is excellent for the size. It is not overly heavy and charges quickly. Can be charged by solar cells.

I am very hoppy with my purchase. I live in an area of periodic power outages. While I have a large gas powered generator, I can now use this River2 Pro as an additional source of power. The unit arrived a week after ordering and was 27% charged. Plugged into a 120 outlet, it charged to 100% in less than an hour. I have not charged it via my solar panels (bought separately) but plan on doing so going forward. I ran two box fans for just over two hours and the power dropped to 80% – pretty impressive. I also ran a small ice maker for three hours and the unit went to 30%.MOST IMPORTANTLY – If you live in a declared fire zone here in California , The River2 Pro qualifies for a $300 rebate from PG&E utility company. For me it makes this extremely affordable.
