I bought this to have some backup power as one does with a backup battery. Luckily for me I had my first opportunity to use it within a couple months after purchasing. Big storm came through and knocked out the power for dozens of blocks including mine. No big deal, I have a backup battery! I push the button to turn it on and... 0% battery.Keep in mind this is about 2 months after charging it up. I'm thinking wtf did it dud out on me that quickly? Nope this battery just won't hold a charge. Period. I should say it won't hold it for long. Be ready to put a recurring event on your calendar to charge this if you decide to buy it. Attached photo shows it's at 90% and I charged it 3 days ago.The best way I can describe my feelings is I'm f'ing pissed. How the hell can this claim to be a backup battery if it continuously discharges itself to 0%?!! I've seen batteries that discharge to save themselves but they at least hold 50% (Ego batteries). My kindle can sit for months and still be at 50% at least when I pick it up to read again!! A kindle!I've owned this battery for over a year now and have hardly used it. Simply because when I need it, it's dead. Granted, I could babysit the thing and regularly make sure it's charged. But I don't want to, and I shouldn't have to.Besides that aggregious flaw the battery is phenomenal. Lots of power when fully charged and does everything you could want in a portable battery. I originally was going to give it at least 2 stars because it does work well. Thinking more about it though I just can't bring myself to do it. Everytime I've needed it, it has let me down.

Purchased in Oct of 2024. Plugged in to charge and then will power my compressor cooler for 48 hrs. This year I bought an echoflow 175 watt solar panel for it and works great right up untill a nice sunny day where it will fully charge and then overload.I have to unplug it from solar, shut it down and then plug it back in. Am I missing something or doing something wrong?I want to set it up in a van but this is not going to do.

This things a beast and can power most things. It shows how much power something is using and how much time you'll get out of it. If something uses under 10 watts of power tho sometimes it won't show you how much is being used which isn't a big deal. The app is fast and gets right to the point. The only con I have is that you cannot shut the wifi or bluetooth off. I understand it's for connecting to the app but it uses unnecessary power to keep them both on and tho its not alot, sometimes that little bit will make a differencewhen ypu need it most. You will notice battery drain and it kind of defeats the purpose of portable power if it drains before using it. Besides that it's a great solar generator. Fast charging is great! The ecoflow line has always treated me good and ill continue to buy them going forward

The River 2 Pro Power Station packs a lot of 'juice' in such a small box. It looks great and feels solid with very good quality. This is my first time using a battery device and generator like this.It was purchased to power a portable CPAP machine for 8 days on a Utah river rafting trip. Based on the specs of the CPAP machine, the plan is 3 days for 10 hours per night at 20 watts/ hr. with a 20% margin for heat loss using the machine's 120 volt power brick. So, to recharge and power the remaining time, the 160 watt EcoFlow solar panel/generator should be sufficient to extend usage on river for 2 hours per day.Rig is working at home under ideal circumstances and actually achieved 4 nights of usage at 8 hours per night at 19 watts per hour with 20% remaining on the power station. So far, I'm very happy!I haven't tried the solar generator yet, but plan to test it soon. I'll update later.*******UPDATE:River Pro 2 performed much better than expected!1) the Trip changed. I used CPAP powered by River Pro 2 for 7 nights 8 hours per night.2) I upgraded to an oem,12 volt DC power supply for the CPAP machine which reduced the actual wattage consumption to less than 8 watts/hr rather than 20 watts using standard 120 volt power plug/adaptor supplied by the manufacturer.3) The 12v plug/power brick offered by the oem drew 60% less energy than the standard 120 volt power supply.4) Because of weight/space limitations, I chose to not carry the 160 Watt solar panel on the river.5) I tested the solar panel recharging the River Pro 2 upon my return home for 1 hour on a bright sunny day. I layed the panel flat on the ground (not aimed at the sun). It produced 137 watts of energy over the hour.6) To ensure the battery did not get wet or exposed to physical abuse, I sealed it in a plastic garbage bag and carried it in a 24 can soft cooler for protective padding. In summary, the River Pro 2 performed flawlessly! Invest in protection for the device. Take care of your equipment, and it will take care of you!

  1. I am very hoppy with my purchase. I live in an area of periodic power outages. While I have a large gas powered generator, I can now use this River2 Pro as an additional source of power. The unit arrived a week after ordering and was 27% charged. Plugged into a 120 outlet, it charged to 100% in less than an hour. I have not charged it via my solar panels (bought separately) but plan on doing so going forward. I ran two box fans for just over two hours and the power dropped to 80% – pretty impressive. I also ran a small ice maker for three hours and the unit went to 30%.MOST IMPORTANTLY – If you live in a declared fire zone here in California , The River2 Pro qualifies for a $300 rebate from PG&E utility company. For me it makes this extremely affordable.

  3. Using this to power a astrophotography setup. It is compact, has plenty of outputs and a good variety of them. The battery capacity is excellent for the size. It is not overly heavy and charges quickly. Can be charged by solar cells.

  4. Was looking for something to keep my home online, a lamp or two on, and phones charged in the event of a prolonged power outage. Also something to use for miscellaneous instances. This device is extremely well built, and lives up to its claims. Battery is very impressive. I wanted to see if it could power my full size fridge, and to my surprise this thing indeed did run my fridge for a couple hours. Honestly I think the best part is the charge time. A full battery charge from 0-100% (if you don’t care about that) is only a little more than 60 mins. Also current deal on NiceShine throws in the carrying bag/backpack for free. Great deal!
