The owner’s manual is pitiful at best. It does NOT include info about how much water to put in. Heck, there’s more instruction on how to put on the handle than there is about the actual use of this machine.Two lights are blinking alternately (ice full and add water). Well, the water is up as high as I can get it, so I don’t know if the blinking ‘add water’ light means I need to add more or that there is too much water.Truly a ridiculous owner’s manual.So, until I can figure out how to use this machine, my review will not be favorable. And if I can’t figure it out, I’ll be sending it back for a refund.*******Updated reviewDespite the atrocious owner’s manual that is basically useless, this machine puts out a very good amount of ice. Up till I got the machine, I was having to make ice using trays. This machine puts out more ice in two hours than I could have made using the trays for a week.4 Stars for Ice Machine, 1 star for owner’s manual.

Biggest complaint, manual says you can choose ice cube size, but does not tell you how to do so. Google search for how to do, tells you nothing. Second issue is first round of ice is very inconsistent in size. What I have done is add ice to water reservoir (using unit in december and in wisconsin, so no high temps to worry about), run the first run of ice and dump it back into reservoir (on top of already added reservoir ice). After that the ice is consistent in size and comes out in a reasonable time. Even with the inconsistencies, they are not a huge issue to me and I am happy with the ice maker so far. I should also mention, I am making ice to store in the freezer for later use. If your main goal is ice on the go for a get together or party at your home, plug it in, add water, let it go and you will be happy. Will update if anything takes a turn for the worse or better.

Going to give this one 5 stars despite my ice maker not working properly. My ice maker arrived not working, seemingly an issue with the coolant having leaked during shipping (I later noticed the box had a large stain on one side from where it most likely came out). Nonetheless, I contacted the seller and let them know it wasn’t working, the ice maker was going through the process but releasing water where there should have been formed cubes. The seller worked with me to try and troubleshoot the issue. I sent them videos of what was happening which they got their tech team to review. This is where they determined it was most likely due to the lack of coolant, and the fact that the fan was releasing cool vs warm air. They ended up refunding me in full, including shipping and did not require me to return the item. I don’t have any use for it but it was really nice to not have to make an extra trip to send it back. Overall their customer support team was on it, very communicative and easy to work with. I’ve read a ton of awesome reviews about this ice maker and with knowing how their customer support is top notch, I cannot take offense that mine arrive damaged, therefore 5 stars.

This ice maker really will give u several pounds of ice within 24 hrs!!! In less than 5 hrs, we had filled our ice tray in the freezer. I’m so happy with this purchase!! We live in South Florida and got a water filter attached to the sink; however, the water rarely gets cold, so this ice maker is very convenient. The ice cubes will melt if you don’t move them to the freezer when they’re done bc as other reviews have stated: this is an ice MAKER not a freezer. It’s not meant to store your ice cubes, so if you’re looking for a product that does that, look elsewhere. BUT, if you’re looking for perfectly crisp bullet ice cubes made within mins, GET THIS RIGHT NOW. Also, saw ppl mention the cube size changing thing the manual mentions, and I don’t even think that’s a feature applicable to this machine. I don’t even understand why it’s included in the manual as if it’s a viable option. I like the little basket and scoop it comes with. Makes it very easy to transfer the ice to the freezer! We keep our scoop in our freezer’s ice box bc there’s no handle or anything on the ice maker. Plus, like I said, this is an ice MAKER, not a freezer. Oh yeah, not sure why other ppl included this, but the flavor of the ice is dependent on the water you use just as with plain ice trays. I use filtered tap water and I live in South Florida. My ice cubes taste great! Very fresh and clean tasting.

It’s ok. However the ice doesn’t last as long as I am use too. I put it into my freezer as soon as it’s make each batch I don’t leave it in the basket even for a second but it melts in drinks quickly. Even in my camel polar mug it isn’t as long as it should be. Also another issue I have is… maybe a personal preference but I really don’t like the shape of ice it makes. It reminds me of fingers in my drink. My son thought the same thing. So I started chopping the ice in pieces. Extra step but hopefully I will like it better. At least I do have ice quick without buying ice or making ice in trays. My refrigerator ice maker quit and replaced it but still haven’t got it to work. This is neat to watch make ice and hopefully I can get the ice to not melt so quickly.

Let’s be honest, when you read it does 26lbs in 24 hours, you think “Awesome”. What it doesn’t say is you must monitor the icemaker, which seems obvious now that I’ve used it. The water compartment is only so big, however you’ll need to empty the ice bucket long before the water runs out. Who’s really going to monitor it for 24hrs straight. Don’t get me wrong, I love ice cubes, especially when fresh. I was only able to put up with this thing for about 4 hours. Each cycle is a running water sound the dumping of the ice from the shaft they are made on and then into the ice bucket. Normally all that sound would be behing the door of your freezer, now it is on your counter. If like me your freezer doesn’t have a water connection, this is the next best thing. Just be ready to monitor it!

The ice this makes is very small and thin, so it melts fairly immediately. The tray the maker dumps into is very small, so there’s really only enough made at any given time to provide about 2 drinks worth, and the way the ice is deposited into the tray, it builds up on one side which makes it think the tray is full, so it will stop making ice when the tray is only half full.The machine doesn’t actually keep the ice cold, so those small cubes will just melt and recycle as water for the next cycle. That makes me concerned about energy usage, because the machine will just make ice from the same melted cubes indefinitely, or until the cubes build up on one side and it thinks the tray is full.Overall, this is a good buy for the price if it’s just for a single person to have a little ice on occasion, but it’s not the most efficient, or effective machine for any purposes beyond that.

Just wanted to pass along my measurements and observations. Overall I like the machine. It’s pretty quiet and functional. I set a timer on my phone for 58 minutes to prompt me to empty the ice tray into the freezer and just keep looping the timer.A. It takes about 8 minutes to make 9 hollow bullet shaped pieces of ice.B. It takes about 58 minutes for the ice tray to fill up and stop.C. The full ice tray weighs about 12 ounces which just fills up a 32 oz. tumbler.D. The water reservoir holds about 2-1/2, half liter bottles of water which worked out to about 3-1/2 trays of ice, but you don’t have to wait until it’s empty to fill the water reservoir.So by my rough calculations, if you emptied the tray every hour for 24 hours and kept filling the reservoir with water, this machine would produce about 18 lbs. of ice/ day. It’ll take about 10 hours to produce one 7-1/2 # bag of ice. So the break even point is 20 bags of ice at $2 ea. or about 200 hours of run time.It is very convenient but a high volume machine it is not. Overall a solid recommendation provided you understand its limitations.

Product is compact and doesn’t take up a lot of room. Very easy to set up. We use bottle water so I can’t attest to others with the bad flavor. Our ice tasted fine. first batch of ice comes out looking like little pieces of candy but by the 3rd round the ice cubes were as described. Ice bags do not come in the shipment and we really needed those to put our ice in. It is a little noisy and distracting for my liking due to the fans on the side, but overall we are happy with the product. Just have to buy the ice bags separately.

This machine is pretty loud and put out a lot of heat. I also think that it takes too long to product ice cubes that are fully formed and useable. The first 3 drops are cubes that are so small they melt instantly so I found that just dumping those back into the water reservoir to cool the water more, makes it a little faster in getting regular ice cubes but I have to do that the first 2 – 3 times to get useable cubes.The other thing is the ice receptacle is really small so if you are using this for iced coffee, you will essentially use up the whole thing on one drink. If you are using this to add to room temp or cold drinks you can get around 3 drinks filled with ice.Overall I don’t think it’s worth it for the price. I would have paid more to have a machine with a bigger ice receptacle and the water tank in the back away from the ice instead of right under it.

We moved to a new house and sadly there was no waterline for our fridge. Not the biggest deal, but we are really bad about remembering to empty and refill ice trays. I did some research on countertop ice makers and came across this one. It’s the perfect size, doesn’t make a lot of noise, and it makes enough ice in a good amount of time. The ice melts down into the water reservoir and can be reused.A common complaint I saw about this particular model was of mold growing inside the water reservoir and above the area where the ice is made. We’ve had our ice maker a while, and have done my best to keep it clean. The instructions do not share how to prevent mold, but I figured out that if you remove the two screws under the lifting lid above the ice, you can remove the whole top half of the ice maker to clean out everything carefully.It also recommends using the self-cleaning function (holding down the power button until all the lights start flashing) at least once a week, and draining out the water and cleaning it with mild soap regularly. I also add a capful of white vinegar and run the self-cleaning every other week, dump it out, and run the self cleaning again with fresh water and dump that out. It has helped keep any mold issues at bay, and our ice sparkling.I hope this helps anyone who is on the fence from the reviews about the mold, and I hope this helps anyone else who is looking into getting this one. As I said, it’s fairly quiet, but when the ice drops, it does make a bit of noise. You get used to it pretty quick, but it does spook the cats sometimes, ha ha.

This item works as expected. It is a little louder than I expected, but when running (The fan is not as quite as I expected) and when it dumps the ice into the bin, its noisy – not just the ice fallig but the electronic shelf to move the ice into the bin makes more noise than expected.All in all, this item is doing the job I bought it for and I would recomend to anyone needing a small desktop ice maker.

I happen to have a refrigerator that does NOT have an icemaker. I’m so happy to have this instead. Runs super quiet and makes ice cubes very quickly. The first batch always seems to be a little thinner that those that follow so I guess that is just part of the process. I added water up to the fill line and with just that amount of water, this created more than 100 ice cubes. So handy to have this on the counter to add fresh ice cubes to cold drinks. The unit does not keep the ice cubes frozen so once you have a batch of ice cubes you need to scoop them out and put them in your freezer. The unit is portable as long as you have an available electrical outlet.

I returned a previous ice maker due to ice forming a block once put in freezer. This one has the same issue but at least I was forewarned. There is a design flaw where water rolls over the newly formed ice as it enters basket. One day I may spring for a more expensive version that may circumvent this issue but for now it is a minor inconvenience. Buy an ice pick.

This thing works great and so far has been reliable. The only reason I giving three stars is that the ice is always wet. It’s really puzzling to me. It makes ice quickly it’s not super loud but when it comes out it’s just wet not melting but wet. Hang the basket over the sink for a couple of minutes to let it drain but then it starts to melt I don’t know how you make ice that’s wet but this machine does. So when I stick it in my ice bucket my refrigerator it turns every all the rest of the ice into one big ice cube and I have to break it up with a hammer. Oh well what can you do?

I put it in my office and have been using it almost every working day for 5 weeks. It works well.It takes 7 min to get ice. The first set of ice is smaller, and later ones are bigger. When the machine is running, I often feel like being a baby monkey waiting for mom monkey to pull down some fruits from a tree, sometimes big, sometimes small.Pros:1. Fast ice making. It takes 7 min to get the first ice, not the 6 min as advertised, but is still fast.2. Reliable. No any issues for almost daily use in 5 weeks.Cons:1. It makes some level of noise when running. Note I don’t have experience of using another ice maker for comparisons. So I’m not sure if the noise level is high or just normal. But you can feel it by watching the video.2. It blows out warm air. It’s not desired in summer, and you may feel the room temperature goes up if the room is small like an office room.

This ice maker is so worth having. The ice is fast and clean up is easy. The machine is lightweight and easy to move. Simply put water in and turn it on. Six minutes later, ice. Unit is small enough to fit comfortably on my countertop. It makes ice reasonably well, but you will need Ziploc bags to pack and store your ice pellets. You will need to remove the ice since it’s not a freezing unit, or else the pellets will melt.

I should have done a little more research on this. I bought this because I don’t have room in my freezer for an ice tray. This ice maker will make the ice, but doesn’t keep it frozen. I have to remove the ice before it melts and store it in the freezer. Other than that, it works great. It makes thumb size ice cylinders every 6 minutes

So far I’ve had this 2 days and no issues. Bullet shaped ice is done in less than 10 mins. Once ice dispenses into tray, it makes a quick noise and then fairly quiet after that. Light notification let’s ys know when ice tray is full, as soon as you pull ice out or the whole tray, the process starts all over. It’s a bit bigger than I expected, but that’s due to the hardware in the back, motor and freon.It’s a great purchase! Highly recommend.

Had I known how much I would love this machine I would have done it sooner! I got this for work this week & shipping was on point and arrived even sooner than expected. I have had the machine on since yesterday morning for the 1st time. Me & my coworker keep laughing as the ice just drops & gets scooped over the edge. I bought this for my mother as she lives in the country and has well water. My family buys bags of ice and cases of water constantly. The machine took 7 minutes and 55 seconds to make first batch of ice. The tray was full in about an hour. I took the ice out and added to ice tray to put in freezer, and run machine again to make sure we fill it up. Let’s say it’s going to get it work in today.One thing I worried about and kept reading about was that you have to run the machine first and throw out first batch. This product came with an instruction guide STEP BY STEP to clean it, rinse it out and drain water. I did just that and I ate one of the ice cubes that was apart of the first batch. IT HAD NO WEIRD TASTE AT ALL!! Thumbs up to that!!It’s day one that we are using it, so for now it’s great. I also got the 2 year protection plan. It’s small and tight and fits just right!I think I need to buy me one.

I got this little machine for my daughter, and she loves it. The size is perfect for a small amount of ice. It makes good amount for personal use. I guess if you need ice for a party, you need to go to the stores and get more. But for an everyday use it is just perfect. I like that it is something separated from the fridge, and the ice water you use is cleaner than using the water line. I would recommend it to anyone.

Only con is nowhere to keep ice scoop as on other models. I don’t like the idea of storing the ice scoop in the basket when not in use. (So just wash your hands before handling the scoop.)This works really well. For a larger quantity to fill a big bottle of iced coffee, I just run the ice maker before I take a shower. First round or two of ice is not as solid frozen as the later “cubes”. Other reviews say they melt fast, which is true. I tend to drink soft drinks quickly, so I haven’t had an issue with it. It is nice to not have to handle ice cube trays anymore. It’s pretty quiet and I can’t think of it disturbing anything except a dead quiet house trying to let a baby sleep.Food and safety inspector said to let air dry frequently to prevent any yeast buildup. So every week or two at the very least I drain it and let it air dry

I love it already, the first time using it I put 3 bottled waters in the reservoir, as the maker runs your cubes will get harder takes anywhere from 6-15 minutes also after my first use I only had to add a bottle of water cause water that doesn’t freeze settles back into the reservoir until next use,very easy to clean the drainage plug on the bottom is easy to open as well, I suggest using a pillow case to cover when not in use if you don’t purchase a cover to prevent dust and pet dander( I have a cat) from getting in the fans on the sides of the ice maker. This was a birthday gift to myself cause I refuse to tote bags of ice

The ice maker works okay, but beware of the exorbitant shipping charge. I should have caught this. I thought I was getting a good price on this but because I ordered several items at one time I didn’t notice that I was being charged $34.99 for shipping and handling, that’s crazy! I should have bought an ice maker with free Prime shipping. The specs on all these ice makers seem about the same. That kind of shipping charge is not what I expect when shopping on NiceShine.

I bought the ice machine for the Salvation Army and a small area for Burbank California and it’s really wonderful it keeps everybody cool for if they want a cold drink or ice if they have a skin knee or something it’s really nice to have there
