Update: The switchbot dev team was able to correct a server issue that was preventing environmental data from populating. I’ve adjusted my review accordingly.Pros:Effective air filtrationQuiet operationMode 1: very quietMode 2: pretty quiet, minimally audible noise.Mode 3: Some noise, but definitely not deafeningSyncs right up to the switchbot hub without issue.Cons:2.5 PM sensor readings appears to be calibrated low and has infrequent data point recordingInitial test: gas stove top frying – negligible increase in 2.5 PM level (5-8 ug/m3). Curious, I was expecting a spike in the readings considering cooking is a main source of 2.5 PM particulate matter indoors.Inadvertent secondary test: accidentally burnt chicken in the air fryer. This actually moved the needle. Granted, it was smokey enough to require windows to be opened. In the moment, the unit signaled red indicating that the air quality was bad (great – sensor is working!). When reviewing the environmental data, though, it shows the max reading at 67 ug/m3 — hmm seems that the device only records one single data point per hour, and that data point might not even be the highest measured reading. In conclusion, if you want to use the air purifier to simply filter air on a schedule or have it integrated into your home automation its great. If you were thinking of using it to accurately monitor your indoor air quality, you may need to consider a different product, or a dedicated air quality sensor.

For me, Switchbot is always simple and elegant in it¡¯s simplicity. This air purifier is no different. From factor is nice and the design functional yet modern. The included table is a nice touch (although real bamboo would have been even nicer!)The unit itself provides good air purification so far. On auto, it turns on when it detects elevated levels of PM2.5. Fan speeds go from 1 to 3, and from quiet to less quiet. At the highest level, the sound is noticeable but not obtrusive. You can hear it in the video I¡¯m including, but that¡¯s having the phone right next to the purifier with the air blowing onto the mic. That¡¯s as loud as it gets (and it¡¯s definitely not that loud further away.)The app provides lots of information – including filter life. Website says filter replacements should happen every 6-12 months, so we¡¯ll see how filter life goes. I also like that I can control the air purifier along with the rest of my house. I¡¯ll set it to turn on auto before I get home and off when I¡¯m not there. I can also have it coordinate with some of my other Switchbot devices, and am looking forward to having both clean and not-dry air (with my humidifier.)I can¡¯t not mention the light too. Love that I can get it to coordinate with my light strip. I would love to have the same color selection as the light strip, but what it offers is fine (and my favorite orange color is one of the choices.) Lastly, my version with the table comes with a wireless charging spot on the table – a nice, if extra, feature.

I got the standard model (not the tabletop). I wavered between a 3 and 4 rating. 4 barely won. The price is not bad, especially when on sale. The look resembles an office waste bin but not as bad as most air purifier. Was a simple set up in the app and Home as well. It is loud in the 2 & 3 settings. The LED lights leave a lot to be desired.Pros– the replacement filter is reasonably priced and easy to change the unit has a small footprintCons– a little louder than I’d like The app is decent. The unit app in Home is very basic and splits into two units (Purifier and Sensor). Purifier is basically On or Off. Sensor is air quality. The LED lights are a let down. They are all in the pastel range. Air quality mode is like a dirty off white. Can’t see any difference between a blue and green= (very good & good). Moderate= orange but it is a weak yellow/orange/red and. Bad= is like a lite orange red. The brightness mode has very little difference between soft and bright. I just turnoff light mode.

The SwitchBot Air Purifier is a fantastic choice for offices or small bedrooms. I¡¯ve been using it as a bedside air purifier, and it works perfectly without taking up much space. One of my favorite features is the smart ambient light. It automatically changes color based on the air quality, providing a clear and intuitive way to monitor indoor air conditions. This is a great touch, especially in an office or bedroom where you want a quick visual indicator of air quality.Another brilliant feature is that the ambient light automatically turns off when the room lights are off, making it ideal for nighttime use. There¡¯s no annoying glare when sleeping, yet it continues to purify the air quietly and efficiently.Overall, this is a smart, compact, and highly effective air purifier, perfect for small rooms. If you¡¯re looking for a sleek and functional purifier with thoughtful features, this is an excellent choice!

I used to buy higher MERV rating HVAC filters, only to know later that HVAC filters don’t really keep the air clean. Later started looking at Air purifiers. I am very much in to Switchbot ecosystem, so I gave it a try for this one.Set up is easy. Mostly it came preinstalled. Looks so beautiful. Doubles as a table, not an eyesore. So I kept it in the living room, next to our seating area. Mobile wireless charging works flawlessly. I wish the cable it came with is a bit longer. I have to use an extension.Multi-color light indicates the status of air purification. When we are having a barbecue, there is a lot of smoke, and air purification kicks in automatically, cleaned quickly and quietly.Overall I love this product and highly recommend it to any prospective buyer.

This is hands down one of the best air purifiers I¡¯ve used. First of all, it¡¯s very quiet ¡ª you can barely hear it running, even at higher settings. It works seamlessly with the app, allowing me to monitor real-time air quality, especially PM2.5 levels, which is super helpful. I also love the design ¡ª the small tabletop on top is incredibly convenient for placing items, and the built-in wireless charging is such a smart touch. Overall, an excellent product. Highly recommended!

I bought this to put in my daughter’s nursery, I am very happy about it so far.I have been using this to track the air quality and found a few interesting things. First, The air quality can get worse during the day especially when dinners are prepared. And quite stable at night. The auto mode of the purifier works perfectly, at night, you barely hear anything so it can be doubled as a night stand! The wireless charging function now become even more useful. At first I bought the version with our the top, which I think has a slicker look. However, for whatever reason it takes a very long time to ship so I canceled and ordered the one with the top which I am happy I did.

I have had a few HEPA filters and I would not give any of them 5 stars as they are all in the trash. This one… I will. First, thank you to SwitchBot for making it Matter so I can connect to HomeKit. Most every filter out there is not. I downloaded the SB app and had this filter running from the app in less than 5 minutes (including downloading and setting up the app). Then I used the SB app matter integration and this was in my apple home within seconds. I do not use any third party apps just the SB and HK to control this filter. I try as much as possible to keep to the same brands in my smart home. I have only Lutron, Aqara, Meross and now SwitchBot. There was a Meross filter but when I purchased this, it was $219 on sale for $149 and a $50 coupon… how do you not as your dollar has a lot of value at that price. ?The best part of this is the sleep mode and led lights. It is whisper quiet in sleep mode and the lights act very nicely as a nightlight. I have them set for “air quality” but there is a range of colors you may set to your personality. There is a “pet” mode which is a higher speed of fan and then you can individually select three different speeds. There is a “pre filter” that collects larger hair and things so the “true” filter is not clogged with them. Very easy access to change filter too but availability in the future may be the downfall.Like I said, I use either the native apps for my items or Home Kit to control them. The HK functionality is very limited. You can turn it on or off and change air speed. It would be nice is SB would put in the control of leds but, its nice to be able to say “siri, …” and get the fan to go to a specific speed. The SB app- very good and easy to use. I have already set a few timers. This runs 24/7 so far. I have set “schedules” (their words) for this already. 1st is sleep and that turns on around 9 when my wife usually heads to bed. I have it switch to auto around 5 am to start filtering to the needs air and around noon it moved to pet as my dogs are usually alone by that time and will start playing with toys, etc and stir up dander and dust. So far after a few days, there is less dust and the air is cleaner.

I really loved this humidifier because it goes far beyond just adding moisture to the air. Through the app, it provides a ton of helpful data about air quality, which helps me keep my home environment under control. Plus, the top surface includes a port where I can charge my phone ¡ª a very convenient touch! One of my favorite features is how it changes color to indicate air quality. It¡¯s visually appealing and makes it easy to understand the air conditions at a glance.I highly recommend it for people with pets or those living in polluted urban areas. It has made a big difference in my home.

I absolutely love this SwitchBot 4-in-1 Air Purifier Table! It¡¯s the perfect combination of form and function. The air purifier is powerful and quiet, and the H13 HEPA filter really helps with dust and pet hair. I noticed a difference in air quality within just a couple of days. The built-in wireless charging pad is super convenient¡ªI just set my phone down while relaxing, and it charges quickly with no issues. It worked perfectly with both my iPhone and my partner¡¯s Android. The smart features are a great bonus. I was able to connect it to Alexa and Google Home effortlessly, and controlling it via the app is very intuitive. Plus, the 10 RGB light options make it feel more like a cozy piece of furniture than a gadget.Highly recommend for anyone looking for a stylish and functional addition to their home!

  13. It charges my Apple Watch SE 2 and at times charges my Sony Sony WF-1000XM5 but will not charge my iPhone 16 plus.

I purchased this to help with the smell from my cats¡¯ litter box, and I absolutely love it! Setup was incredibly simple, and it¡¯s easy to clean and maintain. One of my favorite features is the essential oil option¡ªit creates a calming atmosphere for both me and my cats. Since using this purifier, my home smells noticeably fresher, and my indoor allergies have significantly improved. I¡¯m really glad I chose this model over the competition. Thank you, SwitchBot¡ªI look forward to using this for years to come!

I researched and read a lot of reviews before buying and although this one wasn’t one of the top recommends I got it cause it was on a great sale and covered the most sqft for the price. It works great my air is lighter and cleaner and also when I went to clean the house today I barely had any dust on the surfaces like usual. Looking forward to trying out the scent feature soon

Easy to set up and use, including app setup. Works well with Google Home/Assistant (with limited functionality) but the native app can be used for special configuration (such as the undertable light. Essential oil tray is worthless, I put 20+ drops on the pad and ran the air purifier at level 2 (i.e. medium) and I never smelled a thing. Weighs much less than I expected, but still seems pretty stable on carpet. Probably wouldn’t put an open top drink on it, but soda bottles and water bottles aren’t wobbly or unstable even if i bump the unit. Unless it’s on Pet mode or level 3, I can barely even hear it running. Very happy with the purchase and value.

In general, I am impressed with the Switchbot Air Purifier. It is easy to use and setup, it reliably remains connected to wifi, and integrates well with Alexa and Google Home/Assistant. I bought three of them and have them distributed evenly throughout our 1300 square foot home. Each one of them should be enough to clean the air in our whole house by itself, so three of them should do the job very quickly. Our home also has air quality sensors all over the place that I use via a smart home setup to trigger the air purifiers and increase or decrease the settings based on measured results. From this, I have learned that the air quality in our home is very good most of the time. There are three main things that really set off our air quality sensors. These are cooking and baking in our kitchen, our shower spray that we use to keep water spots and soap scum in check, and when our washing machine door automatically pops open at the end of a cycle. Our air quality monitors do not like our laundry detergent at all.Ok, now back to the Switchbot Air Purifiers. When any of the above things trigger the air quality monitors, they switch the air purifiers from auto (their lowest and quietest setting) to level 3 (their highest and loudest setting). With three air purifiers running at full speed, it should be able to clean the air in our house very quickly, right? Not so! It takes well over 24 hours to clean the air before the external air quality monitors return to normal and stop complaining. If I just open a couple of windows instead of running the air purifiers, the external air quality monitors return to normal in 20 minutes or less if there is even a slight breeze outside. It takes about 40 minutes without a breeze.Furthermore, if I saute onions in our kitchen, the air purifiers take at least 24 hours to remove the smell. Open windows, once again, get the job done much more quickly and efficiently. The built-in air quality monitors in the Switchbot Air Purifiers do not provide much information beyond PM2.5 (dust) in the air. I got the external air quality monitors because they provide additional detail. Ours provide a calculated indoor air quality index, temperature, humidity, PM2.5, carbon monoxide and volatile organic compounds. This allows me to better understand what is happening when our air quality drops so I can address it better. We have a natural gas stove and oven. This, along with our shower spray and laundry detergent all trigger the volatile organic compounds sensors in our external air quality monitors. With all three, the Switchbot Air Purifiers still indicate excellent air quality because they are generally unable to measure these compounds. I do not believe the Switchbot Air Purifiers can do all that much to remove volatile organic compounds. At least they do not do so very quickly. Unless I open windows, these levels still remain high after more than 24 hours with all thee air purifiers running at level 3 (the highest setting). I seriously doubt sucking air through a dust and carbon filter can do all that much to remove volatile organic compounds. This means that no similar air purifier made by any company can significantly help with this issue. Are these volatile organic compounds that I am measuring from our natural gas stove, shower spray and laundry detergent dangerous? I don’t really know. How useful is an air purifier that cannot remove the smell of sauteed onions after 24 hours? How useful is an air purifier (three of them actually, in a 1300 square foot home) running at full speed that takes over 24 hours to clean the air, when 20 minutes of opening windows does a better and much faster job?I am not criticizing Switchbot by itself. After seeing what I have seen, I am very skeptical that any air purifier can do all that much. Maybe I am wrong.Nevertheless, the Switchbot Air Purifiers are very nice and function very well. They just do not seem to outperform 20 minutes of open windows and a very slight breeze. Maybe they will prove to be a better investment during forest fire season. I hope so!TECH TIP:Switchbot Air Purifiers insist on using Bluetooth for communication between the app and the device. This is annoying because one always has to be in Bluetooth range to communicate. In the app, go to Profile, then Preferences, and finally Permissions. Turn off Nearby Devices. This effectively turns off Bluetooth communications and makes the air purifiers communicate with the app via WiFi. The air purifiers will take a moment longer to connect, but this works just fine and Bluetooth range is no longer an issue.

I purchased this to help clean the air in our house, a house with teens and a large rottweiler! We were preparing to list our house for sale and wanted it to be clean when people came through – this did the trick! Well worth the money, very easy to use, it has even helped my son with his allergies! The auto setting is great, it runs by itself and senses when it needs to run a bit more, it is a rainy day and we have a wet dog, lol…i set it to the pet mode – takes all the smells out! Love it!

This is easily one of the best tech purchases I¡¯ve made this year. I originally got this to deal with pet hair odor in my apartment, but it¡¯s way more than just an air purifier. The design is sleek and modern, and since it doubles as a table, it actually looks like furniture, not an appliance you¡¯re trying to hide in the corner.Setup was super fast. It connected to the app right away, and I had it integrated with Alexa and Google Home within minutes. The real-time air quality monitoring is surprisingly accurate, and the RGB light gives a nice visual cue without being too bright. I¡¯ve set it to auto mode and forget it¡¯s even on, until I notice how much fresher the room feels. It runs quietly, even on higher speeds, and the Pet Mode has been a game changer. I have two cats and this thing definitely helps keep dander and dust under control. Bonus: the wireless charging on top is perfect for my phone at night, and it actually works reliably without needing to fiddle with positioning. If you’re looking for something functional that also blends into your home without screaming “tech,” this is it. Quiet, smart, and way more useful than I expected.

It’s awesome and holds my laptop or drinks nicely. I also know it really works cos as you can see in the picture when I garden in the house , it changes color. Even sometimes when I open the window on high pollen days. It’s great value and blows cold air out. It is very quiet too with no smell. I have asthma and allergies when it comes to dust or pollen and my eyes have been less red and sneeze less too
