My husband and I bought a Stokke Tripp Trapp for our second child; our baby has officially learned the joy of dropping things for Mommy and Daddy to pick up…over and over and over again. We do not find it as joyful.Enter this “Catchy”. It does exactly as promised, is easy to install on the chair, and as my baby is starting solids it will not only catch sneakily dropped toys and teethers but also food for easy clean up. It wipes up/cleans easily, is large enough to catch most dropped items that aren’t flung away, and has already been a sanity saver for my husband and me. We picked this over similar competitor items as it’s larger and has a better chance of catching everything. The only cons so far are price (it’s a cleverly cut plastic sheet; it feels overpriced to me) and that it is not easily removable; the entire seat and backrest(s) must be removed in order to install this thing, so once it’s on it is unlikely you’ll be willing to take it off frequently or at all.

Catchy is the best product I have purchased this year. I wasn’t going to purchase it as I felt it was another baby gimmick. It’s definitely not another gimmick! It’s a game changer. I wish I had purchased it as soon as my baby started solids not 4 months later. I no longer have to clean the floor before and after feeding, I can give my baby food back straight from the catchy with ease and without concern it has touched the floor. Clean up is simple, wipe the mess into catchy, wipe catchy down, done! Its easy to install, and once it is installed it doesn’t need to come off for your entire baby’s feeding journey. 1000% recommended, it takes all the stress out of mealtimes!

I was so hesitant to spend the money for this when I first started solids with my baby. I was foolish! I should have bought this MONTHS ago… I have been doing a combination of purées and BLW style eating with my little one and I was so anxious of the mess that is inevitable with babies/toddlers. Yes, this may not catch *everything* if you have a particularly throw-y toddler, but it definitely helps A LOT! Reduces the mess, reduces our anxiety and clean up time. It’s super easy to install and so easy to clean. LOW MAINTENANCE is key when you’re a busy parent. I bought this on sale and haven’t looked back!

UPDATE: I was so happy with the first one I bought a second one when I had another baby and when it arrived, it looked like something happened to it in NiceShine’s warehouse, so I reached out to the catchy seller and they were amazing and wonderful and so very kind! They got me a free replacement straightaway and that one was perfect. I can’t recommend them enough! The two catchies I have right now are holding up perfectly and it has been I think two years since I bought the first one, and 8 months since I bought the second one, and they both look brand new and I’m still using them both with my toddlers. Parents out there, you need this! Saves me so much time and is much easier than cleaning the floor.Original review: I got this mainly because I was annoyed when our adorable Shiba would constantly walk under the high chair looking for scraps during feedings. She can’t get under the chair anymore and there are almost no food particles that end up on the floor. Our Shiba is around 23 lbs and kind of tall for a Shiba Inu.The tray is easy to clean and the side with the black writing should be facing the floor so the side facing the baby is all white(I’d seen a review where someone had installed it upside down and was complaining about the black ink smearing onto the baby). Also, when installing it is important to do the corner tabs in alphabetical order. If you don’t it’s much harder for some reason.I use this on the boon grub high chair and it fits perfectly. Now I almost never need to wipe the floor after meals. I do recommend this item. Hope this helps

Called a catchy because it catches! Super easy to set up with one person. Two people would be faster. A little expensive for what it is, but when you have a baby that throws everything on the floor. This is the perfect accessory to your high chair!! So happy I decided to just go for it and purchase!

I have a dog and my baby drops everything so this is really nice to keep things away from my dog. I wish it was more adjustable tho. Once my baby is bigger and her legs are longer, I won’t be able to use it.

I was hesitant about this, due to the price for what looked like a flimsy piece of plastic, but I have been so pleased! We’ve done baby-led weaning (starting with finger foods) with all our kids, which in the past meant tons of food getting tossed to the floor and wasted. But now, with the Catchy, I just scoop discarded food up and hand it right back to Baby. It catches pretty much everything, and after meals I can easily slide it right to the sink or trashcan to wipe off any leftover food that’s been squished beyond recognition. It’s easy to assemble, keeps our floor clean (especially useful in our carpeted dining room), and saves me time.

I clicked buy and then thought “did I really just spend $50+ on a piece of plastic to add to the high chair?!”Thought about canceling the order because it felt sillyAfter one time of her being in her high chair, the amount of sanity this thing saved me by keeping her food and utensils off the floor and away from our dog was 1000% worth every dollar. Actually, I probably would have even paid more 😂 and that’s after one useSave yourself the sanity and just buy it

It gets the job done. Happy I have it. The main reason is because having spoons stay in there instead of falling onto the floor (where retrieving them is the worst). Surprised that it’s flimsy material for the price & ridiculous to install.4 stars because that aside, I’m happy with my purchase and would buy it again.

I have the evenflo 4 in 1 grow with me high chair. I can’t find a single product that would fit the high chair and I didn’t want a floor one because the whole point is to keep the dogs from eating things they can’t have. I don’t want to buy a whole new high chair just to use a catcher. I am not sure why high chairs don’t just come with some sort of a catch tray because 100% of all babies throw food. Design flaw for sure. This does NOT fit the evenflo chair, BUT nothing does so I made it work. Although it looks rough, it still catches the food and that is all that matters.

I got an Instagram ad for a catchy a few months ago but didn’t buy it at first because it didn’t look super sturdy. After months of constantly having to scrub the floor once my baby started solids and would throw food everywhere, I finally caved and wish I had this months ago. It’s surprisingly veryy thick material and not flimsy at all and best part: I no longer have to bend down to clean up messes. As a bonus it’s sort of shaped like a boat once assembled (we have the Stokke) and my kid loves to pretend like he’s in a boat during meal times. Overall think this is a great product and perfect for OCD people like me who don’t like messes on the floor

This thing is saving my sanity. I really want to give my baby the independence to feed himself but that comes with a lot of mess. The Catchy does an amazing job catching his spoons and food! The only time it doesn’t is when he physically throws it, which hardly happens. But now my floors are staying clean and I can safely give food back to my baby. Extra bonus: my dogs can’t reach his high chair as easy so they aren’t licking his fingers anymore lol. My one complaint is I think this is WAY overpriced. $60 is pretty steep for a chunk of plastic. But I guess I’m the sucker who fell for it.

I had high hopes for this. I was tired of stepping on mashed up egg bites on the floor. So yes it does catch things. BUT I have a 14 month old who can throw further than the catchy. Who finds it sooooo funny to chuck her food past the catchy. So it catches things but not the way I would want. I wish it were better! Maybe in the really early months like 6 months it would have been a better purchase. But 14 months… too old and still throws food everywhere e

The Catchy has been such a game changer for us as our son explores solid foods. Messes are so much easier to clean and so much less food goes to waste! The installation can be a bit of a pain, but that’s more due to the Stokke Tripp Trapp than the Catchy itself.

We were very excited to receive our Catchy after hearing such great things and also after dealing with a lot of messy floors. The Catchy is super easy to assemble and its simple design blends right in.My favourite part is that all of our babies food doesn’t end up on the floor and whatever the Catchy ‘catches’ I can out right back onto his tray knowing that it wasn’t on the floor mixed up with dust or debris.Easy to wipe down and clean and truly has made meal times a lot easier!Highly recommend!!!

I have the cowiewie high chair that is similar in style to the Stokke Tripp Trapp, but different size. The measurements of the Abiee Beyond are almost identical, so I chose the catchy that is meant for the Abiee Beyond. The only issue is that it has extra holes. I used white tape to cover those. It tilts back a little because the back holes would normally help stabilize. Not a huge deal, especially since I’m using it for the “wrong” high chair.

This is honestly best thing once baby starts solids and dropping things. It took forever to get it because delivery was delayed by a week instead of within 2 days but once I got it, it has been a lifesaver! No more picking up and cleaning the floor and chair legs. Easier to clean up and just pick up utensils or food she dropped and put back on tray since it clean area.

I purchased the Catchy version made for The Chair by Lalo. It’s a pretty simple concept but the functionality is next to none. It has caught toys, food (pouch prunes shown in picture), water, and anything else babe decides to “uh oh” from the high chair. It wipes clean easily (although liquidier foods do get under the flaps sometimes which can be a bit of challenge to get out) and it keeps the messes off the floor/splat mat and out of little dogs’ mouths (much to their chagrin). It was a little bit of a struggle to get the tabs into the slots and it’s not very aesthetic, especially the outside where the tabs are, but it gets the job done. The only major complaint that brought it down from 5 to 4 stars for me is that, since I bought it a couple months after little one started solids and was using the high chair, I had to disassemble The Chair legs (and, therefore, footrest) to install the made to fit Catchy, which was kind of a pain and took some time that I didn’t really have to spare as an exhausted, sleep-deprived parent of an active baby. But once I got it on there, I would say I’m a fan. I do wish there was a more universal style as it would be great to have one at Grandma’s, but the chair she bought isn’t one of the chosen few with an available Catchy. Hungry puppy gives it a 0/10.

As a parent of a messy eater, I can’t recommend the CATCHY Food Catcher for the IKEA Antilop High Chair enough! This little lifesaver has been a game-changer for our mealtimes. Here’s what I love about it:Mess Containment Champion: This catcher is like a moat for flying food! It catches most of the dropped peas, cheerios, and rogue bits of broccoli that would normally end up scattered across the floor. It makes cleaning up after meals so much easier – a quick wipe down of the catcher and the high chair tray, and I’m done!Easy to Clean: The silicone material is fantastic. It wipes clean effortlessly, and for tougher messes, it pops right into the dishwasher. No more scrubbing sticky food off the floor – win!Perfect Fit for Antilop: The CATCHY is specifically designed for the IKEA Antilop high chair, and it fits perfectly. It attaches securely to the tray, so I don’t have to worry about it slipping or sliding around during mealtimes. Now, a small heads-up: Snapping the CATCHY onto the Antilop tray can be a bit tricky at first. It requires a good push to get it locked in securely. But once it’s on, it stays put. Considering the huge mess-catching benefit, the initial effort is totally worth it in my opinion.Overall, the CATCHY Food Catcher is a fantastic addition to our IKEA Antilop high chair. It’s convenient, keeps the mess contained, and makes cleaning up a breeze. This little gadget is a lifesaver for any parent dealing with messy mealtimes!

Was a little disappointed when you unwrap it and see it’s basically just a $60 piece of plastic. Someone is making some serious bucks on this thing. At $30 I’d be happier. Also was not aware that you have to basically disassemble the entire chair to put it on. While easy with a drill was hoping for a quick attachment. It does its job but at a high price. Our son still flings stuff much further than this expands but understand after moving it through a doorway that they had to design it to be able to fit and therefore could not go to far out.

We love this product. The quality is great and is well made. It works exactly as described. I don’t understand the complaints about difficulty of assembly. Presumably, if you own a Tripp Trapp chair, you put it together once already. To use this product, you simply need to take a few cross bars off the chair then put them back on. It’s certainly neither hard nor time consuming. I would definitely re-purchase and have recommended this item to friends.

I love having the Catchy for my little one, very easy to clean, it’s become a necessity. I’ve bought another food catcher that was fabric but returned it since it didn’t fit.I’m not sure if this is designed to slant, I did follow the manual on how to put it together, but there’s an obvious gap that can’t be adjusted—I even put it together a second time because I thought I did something wrong. I had a difficult time slipping the catcher through the holes designed for the legs. It’s a sturdy plastic and isn’t too bulky.

I put off buying this for ages because my brain told me “it’s a little pricy for what it is” but boy was I wrong. Scrub half a package of blackberries off your hardwood floors every week for 10 months and you will cave, apparently. This thing is awesome. Well worth the money. Saves me SO MUCH SCRUBBING. easy to clean. Easy-ish to install. Does take up a good amount of room but it’s fine it’s worth it.

I waffled on this thing for MONTHS and now that I finally have it I feel stupid for not just putting it on my registry or buying it as soon as our girl started solids. It’s really as useful and easy to clean as all the adds say lol. I love not having to pick food up off the floor anymore, and mostly importantly im not going through as much baby silverware cause I can just pick it up off the catchy and put it back on her tray, same goes for certain types of food!

I bought the CATCHY – Food Catcher, designed for the Lalo, to use with my Mockingbird Moa 8-in- 1 high chair despite the manufacturer’s recommendation, and it fit really well. Although it’s unfortunate that CATCHY doesn’t make a specific model for the Mockingbird Moa, I was set on purchasing this brand, and I’m glad I did.The CATCHY was delivered rolled in a box and arrived in perfect condition without any bends. The instructions were super simple to follow, and the quality is top-notch. It did take some effort to fit the legs into the holes meant for the Lalo chair since those are round, while the Mockingbird Moa has oval-shaped legs. However, with a bit of patience, it worked out fine. The CATCHY is also visually appealing and not as wide as I initially expected, which is a plus. Despite its compact size, it effectively catches anything my baby throws. I didn’t want to purchase splat mats because I have pets (cats) and needed something elevated off the ground. The CATCHY is super easy to clean – most times a wet cloth or paper towel will suffice. If it needs a deep clean, I simply detach the legs from the chair and spray water onto it, as the chair’s legs are metal, not wood, and then leave it to dry.Overall, the CATCHY has proven to be a fantastic addition to our high chair setup, ensuring tidy mealtimes and a cleaner floor. Highly recommended for anyone with a similar setup! Don’t think twice – this is definitely worth the price.——————-I should mention that I initially purchased the CATCHY – Food Catcher meant for the Stokke Clikk, and it did not work on the Mockingbird Moa high chair.

This was slightly annoying to put on the Tripp trapp (you have to take the high chair apart), but it was a perfect fit. It has saved my sanity-it is so easy to clean, keeps our 20 lb dog out of the dropped food, and keeps the mess off of my floor. I’d buy it 100x over!

If you could easily remove this to clean it would be a great help. However you have to remove the chairs legs and dismantle the entire chair in order to remover the tray. So cleaning it is pretty difficult.

Installing this onto the IKEA high chair was easy enough and it has drastically decreased our clean up time and our food waste. Because it is food grade you can just pick up the tossed spoons and food and give it right back to baby. I wipe it down with a soapy paper towel after every feeding and call it good. My only wish is that it was a little longer in the front as baby is able to knock things onto the floor off the tray relatively easily.

I was reluctant to buy this and waited several months after beginning solid food. I spent those months scrubbing my wood floors and questioning how many times a day I actually had to feed solid food- what a pain! I tried splat mats, made an even bigger mess. Enter the Catchy- easy to install on Tripp Trapp and makes cleaning up after meals sooo much easier. The material makes it easy to wipe down and since I know it’s clean, it reduced food waste since I can offer dropped food again to my infant. How much would you pay every day to not scrub the floor under the high chair?? Worth it.

This has helped us catch many things that my baby has dropped from the high chair. It makes picking things back up so much easier. It is also easy to clean, which is greatI wish it could be easily taken off / installed though. Right now, it is meant to be installed once and kept on. It is so big and makes moving the high chair around inconvenient/impossible. Hoping they will come up with future versions that can easily be installed / taken off as needed.

I wanted to love this, and even now a few months after returning, I still wish this would have been compatible. We don’t want to leave this thing on the chair 24/7. In order for the chair to fit in the space that we keep it when not in use, the catchy cannot be on. The catchy cannot be removed or added without partially disassembling the chair. So it’s very impractical. If this was more of a slide on/off so that it could be removed after each use, we would be using this daily as our baby loves to push food off the tray.

This thing is such a game changer for BLW! I’m all for letting my son explore and learn about food by playing with it and making a mess, but let’s face it the cleanup afterwards is daunting, especially when you’re doing it multiple times a day. This thing makes it SO much easier. It does a great job catching all the food that gets dropped (or thrown) and is coated in some type of waxy finish making it really easy to wipe clean. It’s sturdy, easy to install and fits perfectly on our IKEA antelope high chair. If you’re doing BLW, I highly recommend.

While it’s a bit pricey, this food catcher is totally worth it! It’s easy to clean, and it works wonders in catching all the food my daughter throws. I used to use a floor splat mat, but it became a hassle to constantly wash. Plus, my dog was eating everything she threw on the ground… which is not super healthy for a 5 pound poodle. This catcher has been a lifesaver, saving me time and effort. The only downside is I wish it came in black to match my high chair. But other than that, it’s perfect for stress-free mealtimes!

I resisted getting this for a couple of months. The IG algorithm had my number but I bought a splat mat to start our little eater’s journey and called it a day. But after getting tired of the 4 spoon rotation every meal with the young one required, I finally bought the Catchy. Game. Changed. The baby is a relatively tidy self-feeder and deeply hungry so he wants all of his food in his mouth. I can scoop it off the Catchy and reoffer as opposed to staring at it on the ground. No more stooping for lost spoons, they’re right at his feet. Get it. Resistance is futile (and foolish!)

“this is the best damn thing we have ever purchased”Think about that. Let that sink in. In the eyes of my wife this product was MORE useful than a house, a car, clothing, etc.Well done. Honestly, we’ll done.

By far the best attachment to your high chair to catch all your little ones food, drinks, crumbs, etc! Cleaning up is so much easier and faster with the Catchy and we are obsessed!

It’s like card stock paper. It’s not hard plastic. The legs need to be removed and the foot step. The foot step is extremely difficult to put back on since the catchy blocks the view. In the video tutorial it makes a joke about how difficult it is saying something like – it’s not as difficult as being a parent. My husband did not have fun putting this on.It does catch the food but takes up a lot of space as well.

It’s amazing how a simple product can be so effective. This item certainly helps contain the mess our little one can make when it’s time to eat. It’s easy to install and easy to clean. Everyone that comes over asks about it once they see it in action. Would recommend trying it out if you are tired of cleaning the floor multiple times a day.

Super easy to clean, not only keeps food off of the floor, but it also serves as a storage spot for bibs and baby wipes. Nice that it’s specific to the high chair type.

Can’t recommend this product enough! Our son just started eating solids and it gets messy. But, the Catchy does a great job at keeping our floors clean with minimal clean up after meal times. Easy to install and fits perfectly on our Stokke high chair.

The Overview:If you own a Stokke Tripp Trapp high chair and have a child who’s just discovered the joy of dropping everything, the CATCHY Food Catcher is about to become your new best friend. I used to go through an arsenal of spoons per meal due to my baby’s habit of dropping them, not to mention the food that would end up all over the floor. The Good:Mess Control: This thing catches 99% of what my little one drops. From spoons to food, it’s all contained within the CATCHY, saving me from endless bending and cleaning.Ease of Use and Cleaning: After each meal, I simply wipe it down with a soapy cloth, and it’s ready for the next round. No more scrubbing the floor or chasing after rogue pieces of food or utensils.Design and Compatibility: It fits perfectly with the Stokke Tripp Trapp, maintaining the chair’s aesthetic while adding functionality. The design is both practical and discreet.Health of Your Back: Minimizing those repetitive bending tasks is a godsend for parents. With a baby, you’re already doing enough physical labor; this accessory genuinely reduces the strain. The Not-So-Good:Price: Yes, it’s on the pricier side, but when you tally up the time and effort saved, plus the sanity preserved, it’s a small price to pay for such peace of mind.Overall:The CATCHY Food Catcher has been a lifesaver in my household. It might seem like an unnecessary expense at first glance, but the convenience and cleanliness it brings to mealtime more than justify the cost. My baby can explore his food (and the laws of gravity) without turning our dining area into a disaster zone.Pros:Captures nearly everything that gets droppedEasy to clean and reuseSaves time and reduces physical strainPerfect fit for Stokke Tripp TrappCons:Higher cost, but worth every pennyConclusion:If you’re tired of the constant cleanup after every meal with your toddler, the CATCHY Food Catcher is a must-have. It’s transformed how we handle mealtime, making it less of a chore and more of a joy. It’s one of those parenting products where you wonder how you managed without it.

I have been skeptical to buy this thinking it’s too expensive. We’ve had it on my daughter’s high chair for a couple weeks now. It really does catch everything! From food to toys to drinks! We use it on our Stokke Tripp Trap. One feature flaw I don’t like is it sits on top of the foot stool. This makes it easy for her to grind her feet into whatever food has fallen. When we need to adjust her chair, I might change it to go under the foot stool instead.

This has been awesome, and significantly cut down on needing to vacuum. I got so tired of having to clean the gross floor mat.Other benefit is that we keep it clean, and so when she drops her forks etc we can just hand them to her instead of needing to wash them once they hit the floor for the 1000th time

I’m surprised that there is not much reviews to see if it fits with the Evenflo 4 in 1 high chair. I have photos attached and it fits perfectly. Normally I skim the instructions thinking it’s straightforward, but with this you have to read it CAREFULLY and follow it step by step. I’ll admit that i got stuck and it didn’t look right when putting together (like the legs were uneven), etc. but i was able to go back, fix it and was able to get it to fit no problem. Tip: The marking in black that says “evenflo” is the front. The time it took to put together was a bit longer than i liked but not too bad. The price is certainly steep without the discounts. Luckily i don’t feel bad getting it for about $43 that includes the price drop and a 10% promotion. Had to buy this because we do have pets that we worry eating stuff they shouldn’t and Plus dealing with the mess on a rug would be hard to clean.

This product does what is expected- catches the food/spoons/cups that my infant playfully throws or flings off her high chair tray. Keeps floor clean and harmful foods out of reach from the dog. Only thing to note is to be sure to buy before you assemble your high chair because it was annoying to have to take off the legs and footrest of the high chair in order to put the catchy on. Definitely worth the purchase!

I guess if you don’t have a dog this is what you need to keep food off the floor while a baby learns to eat! Easy to put on. Easy to clean and wipe down. Does not stain, even with spaghetti! My son has learn to use it to hold onto to stand so it I’d let sturdy!

Does it work? Yes.Make sure you are getting the one that fits your model high chair.I was not expecting this to be what it actually is. I was rather let down at how cheap it looks. Pictures made it seem like it is a molded plastic piece. I kept it because it does work and I am tired of cleaning up my kids messes off the floor.

Liked it initially, but in less than a year of use it ripped even though I never removed it from the high chair. My guess was the moisture from cleaning it/wiping down daily made the plastic material crack over time.

Does the job of catching fallen food but is tough to clean. If it were easier to remove and clean, it would be worth it. We used for a few months and then just went with a mat under the highchair for a fraction of the cost. It’s also sooo ugly. Wanted it to work but not a fan.

Love this product. Easy to clean, catches all the food my baby throws down. The reason why I didn’t give 5 stars is the installation is not easy. Because it’s a hard plastic, there isn’t a lot a give. At least with the Lalo chair, it was a huge pain to install.

I cannot adequately express how necessary this product is. We originally purchased a mat to go under the high chair, but then we were still picking up food from the floor and it still required us to move the mat after every meal to wipe. The catchy makes it so easily wipeable and we don’t need to remove it every time. We have the Lalo highchair and it fits literally perfectly.

The CATCHY Food Catcher is a great addition to any home, especially for those with little ones or messy eaters. It does an excellent job of catching food scraps and crumbs, keeping floors cleaner and reducing cleanup time. The material is durable and easy to clean, and installation is quick and hassle-free.However, it does take up extra space, which might not be ideal for smaller dining areas or those who prefer a minimal setup. While it works well, it may not be for everyone, especially if you have limited room around your table. That said, if you have the space and want to cut down on mess, it’s a smart, practical product that delivers on its promise. Definitely worth considering!

The first time we ordered, they actually sent us the wrong model. It was useless to us because it didn’t fit our high chair. When we emailed customer service, they immediately sent us the right one for no charge. It’s sturdy and feels like a thick, quality piece of plastic. It seems expensive for what it is, but it really does get the job done. It’s caught so much food and it’s pretty easy to clean that we’re still glad we bought it

Update – after returning the damaged product to NiceShine, the manufacturer reached out and offered to send us a new one. The product we received from the manufacturer was packaged very differently than what we received from NiceShine, and based on the packaging and condition, we believe the first item we received was a damaged and returned item from NiceShine. The new item was able to be assembled easily and appears to do it what it is intended. It sits very high on the chair, so will have minimal use as our child grows as it cannot be lowered without cutting off our own holes interferes with the anti-choking foot rest. Overall, it remains a good idea, but the $60 price point of the product is triple the $20 cost of the high chair.Horrible! We received our product damaged (torn). A great idea, but it’s just cheap flimsy plastic with holes punched out and seams for bending that are weak points. Don’t recommend! Poor quality especially for the price.

Yes, is it overpriced for what it is? Sure. But what baby product isn’t? I have the Mockingbird high chair and they don’t make a Catchy for it (yet) so I took a risk after researching the dimensions and bought the one for the Tripp Trapp. We cut the holes a little bigger and placed it from the top (after removing the toddler seat backrest) and it rests on the foot rest and it is EXACTLY as I hoped it would be. We taped the cutouts over the exposed holes and it’s hardly noticeable. So DIY at your own risk! I tried the shower liner on the floor hack and it was annoying to clean up and I almost tripped/slipped on it several times. This solved my problem. I just hope it holds up over time.
