I brought it the day it went live on NiceShine; and was surprised to see this model is selling for less than the V2 version. Let me see if this will be the 1st review 🙂 For the price this is an excellent basic camera.Aesthetics: this looks very cool. Two small white boxes connected via a side stick. They send some stickers you can put on the base. It does not look like a camera when in privacy mode.Installation: I was up an running in less than 10 minutes. Most of the time was to download the app and do a firmware upgrade. Plug it in, install app and follow directions. This is the easiest camera setup I have seen. The down side is it requires a 2.4gh network; I do have some old devices so had previously enabled it. If not you have to do that on your wife router as it is turned off by default on the newer routers. One minor quirk is during the setup if asks you to scan a QR code in app using the camera. Just hold your phone at least 6-7inches away from the camera to scan. It will not scan if you are closer. It notified that there was a newer version that took a few minutes to update and I was done with setup.Functioning: Very impressed with the clarity of videos. This can be mounted outdoors (but requires a SD card cover and a separate (water proofed )power that is yet to available for purchase. The power cable is a micro SD (wish they had gone with USB-C) that attaches to the camera; with other end of cable being a USB female.* It rotates 360 degrees horizontally and 180 degrees vertically. However the vertical range is more like 150 degrees. The base of the camera begins to cut (obstruct) the picture beyond 150 degrees (see my third picture)* Two way voice is loud and crisp.* Motion detection and tracking works great.* * Local SD card slot to record video/audio. supports up-to 256 GB.* you can take photos of camera from the app that will save to your phone.* It also has a siren that you can turn on using app and it is relatively loud.*added a night shot of same area and you can see difference. The camera does not have any light, but uses infrared and image is pretty good. This is taken during with all lights off with blinds closed (i.e., nothing is visible to naked eye.)*Added it to NiceShine Alexa, but cant seem to control anything using voice. But can also view feed on the Alexa app, with limited functionality. Alexa could not put camera to privacy mode or turn it on.Privacy Mode: this requires a special mention. On most other cameras you need to put a towel over it or unplug cameras completely. This is a fantastic feature, which when enabled, turns the camera 180 degrees down and voice is muted too. Many times I forget to turn on the cameras before I leave and this solves the problem as it can be kept on all the time, just put it in privacy mode when not in use.But one quirk to this is camera still displays the last picture/frame. I wish it would go dark or to a white screen. Wyze, can you please fix this in a firmware update. I don’t want to display the last image camera was looking when put into privacy mode. This is where all the good (read free) stuff ends. This is when it dawned on me as to why they sell it at such a competitive price.* Recording to cloud and getting alerts requires $20 annual subscription (cam plus). Not sure how much storage you will get. There is no option for you to change cloud storage to something you already own (like box or google drive)* for $4 a month you can get professional monitoring, i.e.., someone at Wyze will monitor your camera and alert your or police if an intrusion is detected. May be useful when you are away for extended periods of time.* There are other perks you get when you subscribe to Cam-Plus; since I don’t plan on subscribing I did not investigate further. For me this solves the purpose as I need a camera to keep an eye on the sink that sometimes backups up and overflows. Whish they let would let you configure your own cloud storage options, but that is not their business model. However this is still a buy recommendation from me. You will not be disappointed.

I love my V3 cams that I bought in 2021 and now here is the pan cam that I have been waiting for. This camera can be set on its base anywhere with the camera on top, where you can get a 360 degree view including straight up, OR you can hang the camera underneath the supplied bracket and the camera can view 360 degrees plus look down.Although you are not REQUIRED to get a subscription, you will want the Cam Plus subscription to get full access to all the usable features, and avoid “cool down” times between clips which leave you blind in between events. Wyze offers a free trial (a month?) which you should definitely accept, but if you do you will definitely realize how much more convenient it is to get full access to recordings both from an installed micro SD card (not included, but which you ought to invest in) and the cloud recordings- which work even if the camera and its SD card are stolen or destroyed. There is a 30′ long usb cable with a right angle plug that you can get for about $10.Without the subscription, to get full access to recordings you have to physically remove the micro SD card and use your computer to search the card. The micro SD card slot on the unit supports up to a 256 gigabyte card, so you can have it record only triggered events, or 24/7 and a 256 gig card will hold WEEKS of recording before the older stuff is overwritten when the card fills up. I use 128 gig cards in my Wyze cams (better price point) and have the cam set to record ONLY events. My own pan cam is mounted on a repurposed shelf bracket, inverted, with a clear glass cooking pot lid shielding the camera from rain and snow. Although the camera has a good IP rating for weather, I am pretty sure a heavy coating of snow or ice would obstruct camera movement and I worry about the motors being damaged under those conditions. You power this camera with the included proprietary right angle micro usb cable (6 feet long) and a usb power supply (also included). I don’t understand why Wyze got rid of the flexible power tail they usesd to have on the V3s, because you could use a 25′ USB A to micro USB cable to reach distant mounting locations. There ARE USB A extensions that end with a female USB port that you plug the supplied 6′ cable into, but you would want to waterproof that connection with electrical tape of something similar.Wyze recommends using their outdoor rated power supply (doesn’t seem to be available yet) but I’ve found that making sure the power supply is protected from moisture seems to be OK.This camera transmits only on the 2.4 GHz band (with passes through walls and obstructions FAR better than 5 GHz), so take that into account. It has a privacy mode that you can activate where the camera lens points itself straight at the base to block the camera and also mute the speaker and mic.Yes, this is just plain old 1080 HD, but with good placement you still have a great image to cover critical areas.Because it’s quiet, this makes a good indoor baby or pet monitor.I am recommending this camera and Wyze in general as a good way to monitor your home, both inside and out.The good:-Inexpensive-Subscription is reasonable-Excellent night vision-Quiet motorsThe bad:-The V3 short power pigtail replaced with proprietary right angle micro usb cable-Audio is not great, both via microphone and speaker (but still comparable to most other web cameras)

Review is on 2023-03-12.Having owned the Wyze Cam V3 as my introduction to the brand – moving to the Pan V3 was almost a natural path. It’s a great camera for a great price. The bulk of the company’s money seems to be made on the subscription side, so the hardware price is sold with minimal markup it seems. The camera itself – hardware and quality – are not much different from the regular V3. Good picture quality and such. There are 3 primary differences between the Pan and the regular V3.1 – Panning capability. The camera can turn – not 360 – but almost.2 – Not magnetic. Must be mounted on the provided base – or similar item that the screw can fit.3 – Micro USB cable is right angle and not straight.PANNINGThe camera can turn almost in 360 degrees on the base. It has what’s called “waypoints” where 4 areas can be set and the camera will automatically move to each area once selected within the app.The camera supports time-lapse and motion following.NOT MAGNETICIf you wanted something similar to the regular V3 that you could stick somewhere – this won’t do. Based on viewing the Pan V2 – they are similar in terms of the base. This does make some sense since the base can swivel, but it’s something worth noting.USB CABLEThe regular V3 has lots of cables available that are weatherproof. Finding one for the Pan V3 – and I guess the V2 as well – is very tedious. The right-angle cable needs to sit inside the base of the camera and I’ve not found any extensions that have this feature. If you’re going to purchase a third-party cable, you need to ensure that the micro USB end is about 19mm/0.75in so that it will fit snugly inside the base of the camera. This means you MUST use the original cable. I’ve not seen a similar right-angle cable on NiceShine or even on the Wyze website – so there’s no replacement. Another option – which I’ve done – is to buy an extension cable that is compatible with the device. I had a regular USB2.0 extension cable and it didn’t work – guess it doesn’t carry the voltage as well. Waiting on the linked device to arrive and test.https://a.co/d/3dER0lLI assume I’ll either have to heat-shrink or tape the connection between the original cable and the extension. If someone else has seen the cable or something that will work – please link it within your review or as a reply to this one. The items below were found on the Wyze forums and linked here to make things easier.CABLEhttps://a.co/d/4ravLGoTAPEhttps://a.co/d/ceonpX3Additionally – if you’re technically inclined – you could cut the cable and solder it to a different extension. Persons have said in the Wyze forums that it’s only power – no data – so just 2 wires are required. Do that at your own risk.UPDATE – 2024-01-02So now. Having had the device for some time, I’ve used and abused it a bit and have more details to add for the review. Both the V3 and the PAN has had some weird issues for me. I’ll get into those individually.V3 – I recently decided to go on vacation and didn’t want my cat to be left without food. While my current solar setup isn’t 100% – it provides enough power until about 2AM and the area is secure enough that a dead gap isn’t a problem. I really just need the cameras to monitor my cat. So a typical “pspspspspsps” call to get the cat to come around is used along with the name – but strangely, the camera seems to cut out with errors once this is done. Almost like it dies – has some firmware issue – or something. I’m going to test and see if it’s the sound or pitch, but I’ve really not tested voice on any of the cameras for more than a few seconds previously. To get the attention of my cat I need like 1-2 minutes per camera. When the camera goes offline, it needs to be manually power cycled in order to be available again. Since my solar setup dies and comes back, that works out for the V3 somewhat, but it’s concerning that the cameras have a flaw where extended voice or a sound/pitch will cause them to suddenly go offline. You may need to test this with your own cameras to verify.PAN – the V3 PAN has an even stranger issue. While it seems to share the same issue as above, it also seems to factory reset the device if there’s the audio function usage or even periodic power cuts – which happens based on the solar setup I’ve got going as explained above. Again, this is concerning. I have to climb up on a ladder to physically reset the device and rescan the QR code to have the camera available again. This is very inconvenient. With those problems in mind, I think WYZE should have an option to “re-add” a camera that’s giving issues. That way any existing configurations including waypoints can be kept and you don’t have to do everything over from scratch – including sharing the camera with family members if you do that.Again – hopefully this review helps and persons can be aware of potential flaws. Overall – still a great camera and the functions of the PAN are good.

For the price, this is a pretty decent motion tracking, pan and tilt camera. The AI software does a pretty good job of recognizing people, and most of the time I will get a notification when there is actually a person within range. It also does a reasonable job auto-tracking as well. Like many of these cameras, sometimes the motor overdoes it, and will move too far or lag behind the motion, but for the most part, it does a reasonable job tracking. The image quality is decent, from a close distance (~10-15 feet) the resolution is such that you can likely positively identify a person, assuming they are simply walking or standing in front of the camera. This camera is not without issues though. If you want a “default position” of the camera, you have to set up a Detection zone, which is fine. However, though testing and over time, I have noticed the camera will drift, in my case, it will start to drift upwards over the course of a few days. Any time the camera pans around and then has to return to the home position, it seems to lose a little bit in terms of its position. It seems to think it’s in the default home position, but in reality it’s slightly off. This continues in tiny amounts every time it moves around (when it senses something, it usually will move to track it momentarily). This also throws off the position of the waypoints, so if you have those set up, those will drift along with the default position. This is incredibly annoying, as I have to continuously reset the home position, along with every waypoint every few days to keep the camera looking where I want it. I may try and turn down the sensitivity so it’s less prone to moving around every time the wind blows a tree branch.Another problem is pixelation whenever the camera moves. As it moves, the image quality degrades pretty badly. Once the camera stabilizes, the resolution will refine itself and become pretty sharp, but if it’s tracking movement, the whole time the image quality is pretty bad as it moves. Not useful if a bad guy is running around your property. Also, though the color night vision looks nice, it’s not very good in terms of being able to make out much detail. There is a lot of ghosting, and unless someone stands stationary in front of the camera, it is very difficult to make out any detail. This is not isolated to this camera, most inexpensive security cameras have poor night time performance, and this is no exception. It will do its basic function and send a notification if it sees a person/movement, but the images aren’t very useful otherwise.Have to keep in mind this is a sub $40 camera, and there are a lot of features packed into it for this price. It’s daytime performance is pretty good, essentially it’s useful to get notifications when a person approaches the area, and to monitor your property, but I wouldn’t rely on it to provide identifiable images. The issue with the positioning is almost a dealbreaker however. There is no use to having a pan and tilt camera if it constantly moves away from the home position I want. I have decided to go with dual cameras, one stationary camera with a stable, sharp, high resolution image being broadcast, and this pan and tilt camera can be used to generally monitor a larger area, and track motion.Bottom line is this is a decent camera for a cheap price, with a lot of features. It should be relied on only as a way to generally monitor an area, get notifications when something of interest is detected, but not for razor sharp images. Also it seems to require a lot of upkeep, the default position continuously needs to be reset, as there is significant drift in the waypoints and home position.

Well, i’ll be moving it to a different location so theres a thing or 2 i cannot comment on yet, but Its essentially a motorized Wyze Cam V3, picture quality is essentially exact to a V3 which isnt exactly a bad thing. It being motorized does actually give it some bonuses over the normal Wyze Cam V3 but thats about it.. One thing it does have over the V3 is the Zoom appears to be a bit better which is nice as it isnt as pixelated. While i would normally recommend placing any of these cameras under an overhang to lessen weather and sun exposure, an overhang can cause glare issues when using Night Vision/IR so thats one thing to consider. With that said, the motor controls tend to be “Ok” at best so results will vary. All in all, for the price its not a bad option over the normal V3 Cam, i also recommend a 256GB SD Card for Continuous recording instead of Event only. And i also HIGHLY Recommend plugging the camera into a surge protector, as you should with all wired cameras. I Also recommend powering your cameras with a UPS if possible, as these cams dont use much power even 400VA, ones in the area of $60 or so would do the trick, when using an SD Card they will still record even without WIFI so thats good for power outages, and UPS’s also come with surge protected outlets so pretty much a 2 in 1.Update: Yeah i actually like this cam lol, the track motion option is actually pretty good, the cam will go back to the position it was previously in after it stops tracking, so thats good. My initial impression was correct though, its pretty much a V3 Cam with a Motor, but that isnt a bad thing, though its picture quality is slightly worse than a normal V3 when the Sun is involved so placing the camera under an overhang can help with that. But all in all, i’m quite happy with the Pan V3.I just hope the motor can last a few years, but if it doesnt at least it isnt an expensive camera so easily replaced. One last thing to add and this applies to all Wyze Cams that support color night vision, In order for Color Night Vision to work the Normal Night Vision HAS TO BE TURNED OFF, otherwise it’ll just be black n white night vision. In addition, there must be a small amount of light in the area of the camera for it to be of any use, so a porch light, motion light, the Addon V3 Light etc so on. This applies TO ALL Wyze Cams with the CNV feature. So consider that before you complain about it not working properly.

PROS:-Price-Ease of use-Overall Quality-App / featuresCONS:-A.I. detection needs improvement.-Sound when moving-Video Quality when camera movesPROSI just want to start off by saying that for the price, these are EXCELLENT cameras. I have 3 Wyze Pan Cam V3’s so far and have plans to purchase more for my mother’s house in the near future.Starting off with price, these are pretty inexpensive units, considering the amount of features packed into them. There are certainly much higher quality units out there, but the cost will increase dramatically for them as well. In my opinion, you get far more than you pay for with the Pan Cam V3 making them well worth their low cost.It does not get much easier to get going than it is with these guys. Just plug in the included usb cable to the included wall adapter, download the app and after just a few minutes of setup, you’re up and running. The camera can be used indoors or outdoors. If using indoors, find your suitable location, plug it in and go. The camera is very quiet when panning, to anyone in the room with it. I will say though, that when watching back recorded videos, you can definitely hear the movement, which I was surprised to find. More on this in the CONS section. The build quality of the camera is good. It does not feel cheaply made at all (especially considering the low price point). Overall video quality is good as well, but there are some slight issues I have run into when panning (see the CONS section for details). Audio quality is good as well. I can make out voices and have conversations with anyone outside when needed, so the 2 way audio works well in that regard. The app has a TON of options. You can go basic or really dive into them for more control if you choose. I like that you have this flexibility. You can set various sensitivity options for detection events, event recording, alarm settings, notifications, etc. Some features are paid only features, but at the most basic level, as long as you have an SD Card (not included) installed you will be able to go back and watch videos of saved events.CONSA.I. options are available within the app for this camera and I would say that this is the biggest opportunity for improvement. The A.I. options allow you to select event triggers for things like cars, people, pets, package detection, etc. In my experience, cars have been detected as pets, pets as cars, pets as packages and so on. The A.I. in this respect has a ways to go still. I have also experienced the camera get confused and just “staring” at the wall next to where it is mounted. It detected shadow movement from sun/trees and locked in on it for hours at times. It took me a while of playing with detection settings to get past this for the most part, but it will still occasionally happen from time to time. The app does have the option for you to give feedback on what was in the detection event, such as people, animals, cars, etc. I presume this will help them improve the detection as time goes on, so this is promising. The other big issue I have is with the “waypoints” You can select them based on where you want the camera to stop when it is in “pan and scan” mode. I have mine at the center of my house lengthwise. I have a waypoint that covers from the left end of the house to the center, then a 2nd that covers from the center to the right end of the house. You can adjust these waypoints up, down left and right as needed to get the best coverage to suit your needs. NICE! The issue I have found though, is that over time, these waypoints can wander so to speak. I can have them set and check a few weeks later and the camera’s left most point will be further to the left that where it was set for example. Or I can set at a specific height, and later the camera angle is higher or lower than where I had set it. A minor annoyance, as you have to go back in and re-set your waypoints, but it’s enough to be worth mentioning. Again though, for the price point this is definitely something I am ok dealing with.My other issues are with video and audio when panning. When you pan, you can audibly hear (in recorded video, not in person) the camera moving on one camera it sounds like a woodpecker, lol. A minor annoyance again, as I am really more interested in the video from these, not the audio but again, I thought it’s worth mentioning. Video quality, when panning also goes blurry. Once the pan stops, the video clears within a second or so. Something I also thought worth mentioning for those considering these cameras, but I once again restate that for myself, given the price point I can deal with this minor annoyance.Overall, despite the minor gripes listed here, I absolutely love these cameras. I have 3 so far and will definitely be adding more to the collection for sure. If you’re looking for inexpensive, good quality cameras for some additional peace of mind, these are absolutely worth every penny!

Been looking for a camera to use for security/piece of mind at the house. There is a free App that you can use to access the camera remotely. The camera does not need to be on wifi or wifi access to operate but you will not be able to remotely access live feed or the sd card remotely without it. The image quality is real nice in the day time. Night time total darkness is good but not as defined (It does get a bit better if there are lights that come on or enter the field of view. Pan/scan feature adds more coverage allowing set points to be picked and then scanned. There is a motion tracking ability that is nice. With Pan Scan off you can create a custom “detection zone” and the camera will just focus on that area. The memory card is capable of a constant record (sound to if turned on) for several days worth of data. Depending on where you mount the camera you can access the sd card by manually removing it or remotely if you have it connected to wifi. If you choose to pay for subscription access you get other features of which I can not vouch for as I do not pay for the services. The camera will still send you notifications of motion depending on your preferences in the app. You will be able review the events that you are notified about as well as access the sd card and to go back and watch other footage. Now for the part I think all should be aware of. I have the camera set to constantly record. When the camera notifies you of motion/event it will show it on the camera timeline. but then the camera has a little 4-5min cool down were it will not notify you if there is additional motion. The camera is super sensitive, so when its raining and or windy and trees/bushes, bird, bugs or even shadows trip the sensor and you get notification you may see nothing. Then if a person comes up to the house in that 4-5 min window cool down you will not get notification of new motion. Example my camera faces the driveway/front door, when a bird flies by and sets the motion detection off I get a notice but see nothing on camera after no more motion (the bird just flew by) and in that cool down period the postal employee pulls into my driveway gets to the door drops off a package then gets back down the drive way before the cool down period is over there is no notice given. This does happen often.Another example would be getting notification of motion I check the cameras nothing (I am expecting someone to coming). Then the person arrives in the 4-5min cool down they wait in there car and there is no new motion. I get no notification of their arrival. Once they exit the vehicle the camera will pick up motion and I will get a new notification. Not every ones location or camera needs are the same. The sensitivity of the camera is adjustable as well as the set detection zone. I have found it best for my use to set the day time to pan scan the entire 180 degrees of the field of view for max coverage and then to change the setting to a detection zone that limits the monitored/covered area at night with different sensitivity level. This seems to give me less notifications from trees/shadows and truly let me know about vehicles and people. I have been told by waze that the paid portion/subscription will allow more control/different aspects of detection and monitoring. I have chosen to not pay for anymore as I have the camera/app and use the camera this way and it works for me. Will it work for you? Give it a shot and try it out.

I have a 20+ year old Uniden fixed 4 camera system that still works perfectly well. I purchased this single unit as a test against my present system thinking it would have updated features and more, however some features are not available.PROS: IP65 (so are my Uniden’s), the camera is small, has network Wi-Fi (the Uniden system uses a base to receive wireless signal) software was easy to install on my android phone, auto 360 degree, pan, and tilt which can also be manually operated via the app (Uniden’s are fixed position). It also comes with a USB plug, which I assume is also IP65 rated (Uniden came with plugs as well), has a standard camera mount female thread. Can be mounted upside down (which I did), 180 rotate in software settings. I actually used the Uniden mount already installed.CONS: NO digital ZOOM (Uniden does), app does not support Windows, or Bluestacks (big downer for me), supposedly it does with tablets and iPad, but I have not tried it yet or do not want another device to manage (really wanted to just use my PC’s). Although way points are set, the camera will still follow outside of waypoints such as tree tops blowing in the wind (not sure why, still looking into this). To use all of its features, as all companies are planning to do these days, they require to pick your pockets budget, either monthly or yearly with a subscription service fee (well that sucks!).Not decided to keep yet, still testing.

I cannot say enough about how great the WYZE cameras are and how easy it is to set them up with all the great features wyze offers on the app and now you can log in from your computer and see all your cameras in one screen, new AI pilot for recorded events has been another gold star to the WYZE system as it lets you type in keywords like red car for my purposes and it pulls up all the events where a red car was spotted. The wyze cam plus is such a game changer for the price to let you add an unlimited amount of cameras to your account and have the features that the other 2 popular competitors charge a monthly fee for with WYZE its a yearly fee and its just a no brainer to take advantage of it but they also have a monitoring feature that allows you to add 24/7 security monitoring from WYZE ( its an add on subscription service that is also totally worth it ) in which you can tag people who are authorized to be in your home or work and once set up if any unknown or suspicious individuals are detected the team from the security division will alert you and have police respond to your property. At work we have our loading dock that would need to be manually opened and this was a hassle to always find someone close to the dock area to open it or it would make our concierge team leave the front desk to walk to the back of the building and we have deliveries at all times of the day and night so we had looked at upgrading the door opener or running a dedicated door opener to the front desk area which both would be expensive so we came across the WYZE smart garage controller which was so easy to install and resolved our security issue of having our concierge team step away from the front desk to allow deliveries to take place. The video quality, sound quality, and night recording quality is outstanding with night vision mode ON or OFF and full color night recording with even the tiniest amount of light available is such a game changer when it comes to identifying any security concerns. The cameras are so easy to install and set up on your WIFI network but the biggest plus for me was that they allow you to use MICRO SD cards to store footage locally to review any time so you are not paying the monthly fee for cloud services and also will record 24/7 or events at your choice with the added comfort of knowing that with the SD card even if internet signal is down the video will still be captured and can be viewed once internet services are back up or by taking the MICRO SD card out from the device to view directly from your tablet or laptop. There is also solar panel attachments for all the cams that will allow you to save a bunch of $$$ if you needed to monitor areas where a dedicated power source is unavailable.WYZE cam systems are the best in the game and you will love the new level of comfort added to your home or work areas that will definitely not break the bank.

I like these cameras. I started out with the Blink cameras but switched to these when I discovered the Blink cameras only record from one camera at a time and only when triggered. I got these and set one up with an SD card right next to my Blink camera. The Wyze picked up movement quicker and from further away. They do glitch. Sometimes you have to go tonthe SD card to see events but I love that the cameras record all the time to the SD card so even if something happened out of camera trigger range (like an accident on the street) you can look back at the footage to see what happened.I don’t have a whole lot of experience with camera systems, my first system was Blink but the price point for both Blink and Wyze are similar so i feel it’s a very fair conparison. Of course a more expensive system is going to probably be better. I waited to review both systems till I’d had them over a month and even had them overlapping.PROS:*nice to be able to pan around from your phone or have the camera automatically follow the movement of someone walking accrost the yard*continous recording when you put an SD card in. No need to change out the cards either, it will automatically overwrite the oldest recordings when the card gets full.*customizable notifications. I love I can have it send notifications or vehicles, people, pets, glass breaking but not general motion or sounds. I will still record those events but it won’t blow up your phone every time a leaf blows by.*More than one camera can record and send notifications at the same time (unlike Blink where only one camera records at a time so you miss events if one camera is already recording)*because of contusions recording you can look back at times when the cameras weren’t triggered to see what happened, like if there was an accident in the street but you had that area zoned off to avoid constant notifications. The camera still records even if the camera didn’t detect movement.*detects sounds. Has glass break detection, barking, meowing and talking are all things you can have the camera trigger for. (Blink is motion only. It will pick up sounds for a motion event but won’t start recording if someone smashes your window off camera)*highlights what triggered the event. I love the little green box that pops up around what the camera sees. I think you can turn it off if you don’t like it but I haven’t tried.CONS:*The automatic panning can be erratic with quick moments. I’ve had birds fly by quick and it pans the wrong way.*Night vision is super sensitive. Bugs constantly trigger it at night. I’ve set the notifications to only alert to people, pets, vehicles and sounds so it’s not horible but it is annoying especially with the pan because it will try to follow the bugs.*Sometimes have to go to the SD card to view events because of errors with cloud storage.*Must be plugged in to work. (Blink cameras can be battery powered)*both Wyze and Blink require an internet connection so if you want to put up ancamera out of wifi range you need a booster.

Long time user of Wyze for pet cameras. I have two Cam V3 that have survived many falls, animal tamperings, moves and readjustments. I moved and wanted one that could cover a large area so I got the Pan V3. I did not have the same quick easy experience as the first two but it was fixed in the end. While the cameras are usually extremely easy to set up, this one required quite a bit of troubleshooting from my internet provider, resetting the router, calling Wyze support, rebooting the camera and updating all my apps and the camera. Wyze support was very helpful and patient while we waiting for each reboot or disconnect/reconnect. Unfortunately the call dropped but they attempted to call me back multiple times and followed up in an email. Very satisfied with their customer service and after jumping through all these hoops the camera now works as expected. The camera itself:-sleek and unobtrusive, I don’t hear it moving between waypoints-User friendly app-I think the subscriptions are reasonably priced and I pay for them on all my cameras-as other reviewers have said, the video is very blurry when the camera moves and there is sound on the video from the camera-does what it I need it to do: gives me a snapshot of what the animals are up to, notifies me if theres barking or glass breaking-this is not a “videochat with your dog” kind of camera. if you want something to interact with your animal this probably isnt it.-Great little “check-the-house-hasn’t-burned-down” camera. Good price. Overall satisfied with the systems, just had some bumps in the road this time. Might not be worth it to new users.

I have several different brands of cameras at 3 different properties in two countries, and I wanted to include Wyze as it is one of the few affordable gimballed outdoor cameras out there. It seemed like an established brand with good features. Here are my results:The price is right for a gimballed outdoor camera. However, after testing in several environments, it seems that the firmware, software and hardware designs are integrated and developed up to a point, such that none of the intended functions work entirely well or at all. It’s as if the design was executed and put on the market, yet never ever tested. It’s fairly astonishing to be honest but I’ve see this sort of engineering snafu in other areas: it strikes me that someone took the company down a design path that just doesn’t work and the company said, “well we’re releasing it anyway and we’ll fix it later”.The most claring example: the motion detection function is largely useless: from a mount about 12 feet off the ground, it only really detects things the size of people or vehicles. Then, at any sensitivity setting at all, it will detect specs of dust, insects, droplets of fog, etc. So you get motion detection pretty much every couple of minutes 24/7. I then mounted a camera at my desert location, and found the same astonishing thing: at night, in ‘night’ detection mode, you get a barrage of detection of specs of….moisture in the air? Bugs? All of the above? Whatever it is, the motion detection is rendered completely useless. I then turned IR off, so that it just sees light at night, and this settles it down but I have numerous detection events for “people” where it’s actually a bouganvillea plant branch that the motion detection is mistaking for people. So, this is almost as if the sensitivity of the camera was set to max, and no attempt was made to see if this setting would defeat the motion detection function, which it does entirely. As for the set scan function where you set in 4 waypoints and it scans those areas, it regularly drops them i.e. you set them in and then it winds up scanning off those waypoints, in this case higher than the waypoints so I am scanning the trees not the ground.Sound detection is also way too sensitive. It appears it’s set to full sensitivity, with no way to adjust it, so that if you have this detecting sound, it detects sound far from the scanned area and not of interest. I get sound detection events from traffic a mile away.As noted by others, you set up the camera and then it gives you serial notifications of updated firmware, one version at a time. This could mean a dozen firmware updates. Nobody would find this acceptable. How did Wyze send this out the door with this feature? Any sensible system would allow you to update firmware in one compiled firmware update (or if there were significant architecture changes, a couple of updates). So ultimately I use these cameras for manual viewing, where I monitor my remote property, but I don’t rely on the motion detection at all as it is not a useful function. As I said earlier, I had this experience with a tech company that went down a design path until it ultimately determined that the architecture wasn’t going to work, so they junked the architecture and redid it with a different philosophy. I hope that isn’t the case here as it would mean the hardware is probbaly useless as well. Hopefully Wyze will seriously test these machines and find a way to make their cameras function as apparently intended. The form factor of the camera is good and I have high hopes for it. Hopefully Wyze gets serious about their cameras. I’d pay more for the camera if it worked. For now it’s not a very bad value given the limited function but would be a great value if it worked.***Update**** I just have to mention this new nugget discovered, of yet another illogical UI design feature that points to the quite substandard engineering and design of the user interface. I wanted to update the time on two of my cameras due to their being in an area that does not adjust for daylight savings time. Both cameras were off by an hour. So I went to advance settings, then “sync time” and what does it do? It sync’s the *camera’s* time to the *app’s* time. Yes, I am sitting 3 time zones away and now the date stamp on the camera is my time not the camera’s time. And, there does not seem to be a way to set the time manually or to the local time unless the app is there. I suspect I can set my phone to the wrong time zone then sync it. However, it’s just clear that when specifically designing this feature, nobody considered the possibility that the camera might be in a different time zone than the app. The rating stays at 3 stars as the unit does function well *as a camera* but the UI, firmware and software are woefully misengineered.

I’m not saying this camera has a better view of your home than you do, but… well, it just might. The Wyze Cam Pan v3 is like having a surveillance system on a caffeine rush, this thing moves 360°, tilts, zooms, and tracks motion like it’s chasing a tennis ball. Whether you’re keeping an eye on your baby, your pets, or maybe your dog who’s definitely plotting world domination, this camera’s got your back. The 1080p HD resolution is crystal clear, so you can see every single detail, down to your pet’s suspiciously guilty face when they’re caught chewing on your favorite shoe. Plus, the color night vision is a game-changer, now you can spy on the shadows at night in full, vibrant detail.Setting it up is as easy as figuring out what’s for dinner. It’s Wi-Fi enabled and works with both Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can tell it to start recording while you lounge on the couch like a modern-day king. Or queen. No judgment.Pros: • Full 360° coverage, so no sneaky corners in your home. • Color night vision = no more grainy footage of what might be a raccoon or just a shadow. • Easy to install and integrates with Alexa and Google Assistant—hello, convenience. • Motion tracking that keeps up with your hyperactive pets or kids (seriously, it doesn’t miss a thing). • Affordable price for the features you’re getting.Cons: • If you’re looking for an ultra-sleek, invisible camera, this one’s a bit on the bulky side (but hey, it’s working hard, so it’s allowed to be a little thick). • Sometimes it gets too excited with its motion tracking and starts swiveling around like it’s at a rave. All in all, the Wyze Cam Pan v3 is a powerhouse that’s perfect for anyone who wants to feel like they’re living in a smart home without the smart home price tag.

The 3 star is because of the ability to interact easily with Customer service. There is such a an emphasis on AI with customer service that it is off-putting. Calling in to the service number they have resulted in two options and neither one of them are for Customer Service. The device itself is decent it is compact, it can be put in places where you want to keep monitoring but not be son obvious. The night camera lighting is stellar compared to Baby Monitors that are considerably higher cost. The image is clear and although it does not have a physical zoom feature you can zoom in like you can with a standard cell phone camera. We have a safety bed for a child with special needs (He is Autistic and has Epilepsy) so having a camera that we can see him wether the bed is enclosed or not is a must. The AI improving would really help because it cannot pick up movements behind mesh very well. The tracking function is an AI system that is a work in progress. This is the ONLY place that AI is appropriate given what it’s job is.Connection to the WiFi can be a bit dicey and I had to move the camera around and also my Router and now it’s not so bad.The WiFi only supports 2.4Ghz and WPA2 security. I dont mind the 2.4Ghz as 5Ghz really is not appropriate.WPA3 support would be a real plus given the fact that this considered an IoT device (Internet of Things) and security is a very big issue and the support for WPA2 is a good start.I ended up setting up the camera on a dedicated IoT portion of the Router plus set it to be isolated which prevents other devices from being able to access the camera and I would strongly advise doing everything possible to secure the camera. When you have the device up and running you can hear the motor when it does it’s pan and tilt but it is not a big issue as it is not loud. The wall mount is plastic and looks to be pretty sturdy, however, if you have a child with special needs, and the camera needs to be put in a bedroom then it would behoove you to get a metal bracket and to get it up as high as you possibly can.As with any device that is utilizing WiFi, your going to have lag. Put your camera as high up as appropriate and make sure your Router is up high or located close to center point of the house. This is a decent camera for those with kids that have special needs and you need to be able to track them, record them, and to be alerted when there is something that needs to be addressed with them. All said and done, I really like the camera, I don’t mind paying a subscription for some of the functionality and a lower price point. You do not have to have a subscription and the device can handle a 128gb Micro-SD card (spend the money for one that is a high grade as events with the camera are also written to the Micro-SD card).Last and most annoying part of my whole experience at this point is that I don’t care for the pushing of AI for customer service and they really need to figure out an easier and cost effective way of doing Customer service related interactions.

I have this in the living room/dining room/kitchen area of my apartment. It took awhile to find the perfect spot, and it finally went on top of a shelving unit. Last week the maintenance guy came by to fix my front door – with permission. I received a notification on my phone of motion detected. I opened the app and could see him working on the front door, walk around, etc. The camera automatically tracked him. It was so quiet he did not notice – and being high up helped. He never once looked at it.Just play around with the best spot for it. I found higher up is better. One thing I don’t like is the base – it’s a rubber pad. There’s a tripod mount thread, but then you’ll need a bracket or tripod. I 3D printed a cradle for the base to make it wider and more stable.

These Wyze cameras are great cameras with a full 360 view and the ability to view on your phone or PC. I have several set-ups around my home and property, and I’m satisfied with the performance, however…As awesome as these kinds of cameras are, there are some caveats you should be made aware of, and that’s why you need to read the Terms of Service and especially the Privacy Policy because when it comes to Privacy, it’s pretty nonexistent no matter what kind of brand name camera you use. Some attorneys who have reviewed these Privacy policies point out the fact that if you are using a camera company’s cloud storage, certain third parties can request any and all videos stored on your account without your knowledge or consent, and without a warrant. So, for instance, if law enforcement, someone impersonating law enforcement, or another entity/hacker wants to spy on you per se, all they have to do is request your video cloud data from whatever security camera cloud service that you use, and they will be all too happy to provide them with all your audio/video data without question or a warrant… I kid you not, it says it in black and white. Now, I’m no security expert, but when I found this out, it knocked me back on my heels at just how lax and careless these “SECURITY” camera companies are with their customer’s data stored on their cloud servers. Do your due diligence, read the fine print, and learn about the legal pitfalls your data can fall into; there are plenty of attorneys on various video platforms that discuss these types of security risks that could legally affect you if you are using a camera with cloud storage services. Be advised that everything recorded and uploaded into a camera cloud server is technically unsecured, this being the case, essentially all your data is now considered stored in the public domain according to these lax Privacy policies and procedures, and anyone, and I do mean anyone who wants it bad enough, can get it by simply asking for it.

I bought this monitor to put on my boat, mostly so I could know whether the electricity -battery charger was on or not. My bilge pump runs two or three times an hour to pump a little water out of the bilge, but if left off it could be disastrous! Also, when the temperatures drop below freezing and colder for more than a day or two, I am concerned my pump out lines could actually freeze. I am a 45 minute drive from the marina where I keep my boat, so having a monitor on board where I could see what was going on inside the boat would be a big help. When I initially installed the monitor, the Wi-Fi signal at my boat was very weak, so I really wasn’t sure it would work. It stayed on for about 24 hours before it went off. I knew it was not the fault of the monitor, but I was a little disappointed that my idea wouldn’t work. When I was testing the monitor at my house (before installing it on the boat)I had one time when it failed to connect, and I had to unplug the monitor and plug it back in for it to reboot and restart. I thought when I got the “no signal“ indication on my app, that I would have to go back over to the boat and do that. However, within about 24 hours, I got a notice of motion from my boat, and it hid evidently just lost the Wi-Fi signal and was able to pick it back up again, or it rebooted itself. It has worked absolutely great now for about three weeks. It gives me such peace of mind, knowing that I can look in on my boat at any time I want!

I have 3 of these WYZE Pan V3 cameras. The last one I bought behaves differently than the other 2. On the camera with the problem, when I go to events, I can not access the SD Card. I can on the other 2 cameras. I can access the SD Card from the main camera menu, so there is a work around. The camera with the problem is the latest purchased one. All are WYZE Pan V3 cameras. I talked to WYZE and they had no answerd but maybe a future firmware update would fix it. I will update this review if it ever gets fixed. I will not purchase anymore WYZE Pan V3 cameras until it gets fixed. Other than that one problem, I love the WYZE Pan V3 cameras.

Got two of these after I wasn’t finding anything I liked for a new baby monitor. The fact these are always running but connect to our phone is a lot nicer than carrying around the parent unit of our old monitor, which we also needed to plug in often as it’s battery life was terrible. Plus, once we don’t need monitors anymore, I can use them as actual security cameras. These have a very nice, modern look, and the build quality is actually great considering the price, I expected these to feel a lot cheaper. They have a full range of motion, which is a massive boost over our last baby monitor, which didn’t move at all. They also come with cords and a power adapter, which is great since many companies stiff you in this area, expecting you to pay for adapters or use others that you already own (looking at you cell phones).I’ll preface this section by clarifying that we’re using these in conjunction with an audio only baby monitor. This is because my wife wanted something that would quickly play the sound in each room if it heard crying. To be clear, the camera will play audio just fine, but having the app open constantly isn’t ideal, and when it’s not open it sends notifications of a sound or motion event. The speed of these notifications is very fast, but the sound isn’t enough to wake us at night, wheras the sound of crying wakes us up fast. When the camera detects motion, it’s default setting is to track the source until it stops moving or leaves it’s view. This is incredibly cool and a great feature in a security camera, but for a baby monitor, it’s less great, at least for older kids, as they’ll be drawn towards it’s movement and either be scared of it, or try and play with it (if it’s reachable). I turned off the motion alerts so the camera remains fixed wherever I point it, and I can move it in the app if necessary. For sound alerts, as I said before, they’re quick to notify you if the app isn’t open, and the sound just plays if you’re viewing the camera. There is actually a setting to have it trigger alerts on crying sounds vs other sounds, however this feature is locked behind the subscription service, so I was not able to test this. Regular sound alerst work pretty well, and didn’t trigger for our ambient noise machine, but it did for loud cars going by (we get a few annoying drivers late at night) and once for a train horn in the distance (bit surprised at that one, but speaks to it’s mic I guess). The app is nice to use and fairly straightforward, and you can easily view multiple cameras at once, and select one of them if you want to move the camera or hear the audio. You can also create a widget on iPhone (and I’m sure on Android as well) that links directly to the camera feed, so you don’t need to swipe around looking for the page or folder you put the app in, open it and then open the feed, rather just swipe to the widgets and tap the button to jump right to the feed. If you have two cameras, you can have both there and swipe before tapping to swap between.Overall very nice cameras, they make great baby monitors on their own or coupled with an audio monitor, and for a far more affordable price (even with a two kid audo monitor, and two of these cameras, it came out almost $50 less than a two camera baby monitor on the cheaper end).

This is literally the LEAST user-friendly system ever and basically useless as anything but a live-stream feed 😡This is my first camera purchase and I took for granted some things like being able to actually watch the recordings I bought an SD card for, being able to download them, being able to share with others, etc. The fact that I cannot download recordings without climbing up to eject the SD card every single time is super annoying. The “max SD card size” also only holds 3 days worth of recordings…..Add to that the fact that you CANNOT SPEED UP the recordings when watching on the app, it’s basically unusable (and you need a paid membership to be able to do most of this in the first place)If you want to play back a continuous recording of an entire day, you have to do it second by second and sure you have the option to record that (also second by second), but what if I just want to watch an entire day at like 10x speed to see when a specific unexpected event happened bc it does not always detect everything accurately – lots of “events” recorded are just like the wind blowing or a shadow or something, and lots of people walking right in front of the camera don’t even trigger an event…They don’t allow access to other users as view-only either, so anyone you give access to can change modes and angles and other stuff in your feed. The recordings are RECORDED BY THE MINUTE, so even after you download them to a computer, you gotta get another app to stitch them together or play them individually minute by minute….don’t even think about trying to send your neighbor or landlord any type of video or picture that is longer than 60sPlease note they DO allow you to 1x, 2x, 4x the individual events, which are usually 30s long or less…..makes sense, very useful feature 😒 /sThe app is also not user friendly, trying to scroll thru the timeline is slow and clunky, it freezes often and the menus and controls are not intuitive. There are very little explanations on what everything means or does, no info on what the options you get are for and their forum is just a ton of “add it to the wishlist” kind of responses with things from 3+ years ago that many people have requested STILL not added and still consistently being requested. The microphone on this thing is complete garbage, I got another camera after this as a backup one and set them both up to see different directions of the same location (hallway outside my door). I can hear the neighbors blasting their music loud and clear on the new camera even though it’s mounted inside a wreath half-covered with decor and the Wyze one out in the open barely registers any noise at all during the same time. This music was echoing throughout the hallway of my building, this wasn’t a barely audible tinkling in the distance. The audio sensitivity was turned to the max on the Wyze too when this happened – the other camera didn’t even have a sensitivity option so it was just a default basic microphone and put Wyze’s to shame….Literally the only reason this isn’t a 1 star review is bc I thought the 360 view was nifty and enjoyed being able to move it at will from my app. Save yourself the frustration and spend the $20 more on a quality system if you want something that has more than just a live-stream view – the membership is $20 a year anyway so you’re not even saving the money with this.

So far I think it’s going to be great. Needed to purchase because my apartment complex is sketchy and also because i can keep an eye on my fur baby while i’m away at work.Make sure you buy a micro sd card, it does not come with a basic starter. Set up is generally easy but have to have the sd card installed first for setup(operator error- not reading instructions)I am excited to see what i’ll capture on this camera. so far so good and i haven’t even set up yet.camera itself is very modern and isn’t a big bulky ugly distraction. comes with a wall mount and screws to insert it. I’ve noticed it has a day/night mode and will adjust quality depending on light.

There is a lot to like here but also a lot that is problematic. Some things that seem good like “designated zones” are useless as I will point out below. The good:- Fairly inexpensive with options for using their cloud service for a fee or an SD card- Great day and night pic- Can easily move camera around- Lots of customization settings- Easy setup- Privacy mode physically turns cameras down- Nice app- Good additional features with their paid service. Trial period is available also. The bad:- Says it works with Google home, but it’s a joke. On the rare occasions that the camera feed actually pulls up, there are zero things you can do aside from staring at the feed. No pan, tilt, zoom, settings, etc. I chose Wyze specifically to integrate it into Google, and that was a waste. Thankfully the Wyze app is nice.- The motion tracking seems nice at first, but with no way to limit how far the camera turns/tilts, it can become useless. You can designate zones, but once the camera turns/tilts then the designated zones move with the camera rendering them useless. (If you could limit the physical range of motion, that would be an ideal fix, but there is no way to do this.) Here are some scenarios:– I wanted this to watch a small pet enclosure. I only wanted it to turn/tilt to fully watch the enclosure, but if someone walks by or interacts with the pet, the camera follows the person and turns to face away from the enclosure. You can set it to return “home” after no movement, but there is always movement in the house so the camera will never return back to the pet enclosure. You have to go into the app to move it back. Every single time.– If you have a ceiling fan or something similar, your camera will just turn to the fan and never return “home.” Same with a tree if it’s outdoors and the leaves are moving. Or if you’re on a busy street and hoping to monitor your driveway. The camera will just tilt to record the cars driving down the street and never return to the driveway.– If it’s outdoors and you want to monitor your yard but not your neighbor’s yard, then too bad. You have no way of preventing this. Hopefully your neighbors don’t assume you’re a creep.– If it’s mounted near a TV, then guess what. You get to watch TV on your camera all day.- Can’t change storage location for downloaded clips. I have to manually move my files into my gallery so I can easily edit/upload.I researched the movement issue, and it’s been a problem since these cameras came out with no fix. I assume it’s not a problem for Wyze. Nor is the Google functionality. I may move these somewhere that motion tracking isn’t necessary, but that just makes me sad as it tracks well. Will update if this ever changes or gets fixed.

Ring on top, Wyze on bottom.Wyze review: impressive camera for the price. Still fine tuning the settings as it will pick up and track random annoying things yet completely skip important things. Photo is both cameras in near dark settings with a street light out front for illumination.Trying to retrieve older videos is worthless and frustrating via Wyze. I’m only able to go back a few hours. Could very well be a learning issue on my end.In summary Wyze is a decent camera for the price. I like it.

Wow! I should have gotten this years ago. I’m sold. I got this to keep an eye on foster kittens while I work in the next room. It was easy to set up. I have a little flexible camera tripod I use to hang it upside down from the handles of my exercise bike for the moment. The picture is clear, the detection is good enough for my needs (motion) and the night vision is always very good and clear. I can talk through it or listen through it. I am also able to look at it when I’m not at home. This is all without a subscription of any kind. They offer cheap subscriptions if you want to know what kind of motion it was (packages, faces, etc) and the prices were super reasonable. I love this camera and will likely buy some more for outside.

I’ve bought a few of these Wyse cameras now and my only regret is not buying them sooner. They are so easy to install, set up, and works the app. The cost of the service is very affordable at around $12.99 a month. You have two walk talking with these camera’s. Meaning not only can you tell people to get off your probably now they can talk back and tell you what they are doing there. Or you can ask the mail person to hide the packages so your other half doesn’t see them when they come home. They also have a spot light and a alarm. The app is amazing and so easy to work. You can do so much within the app. Like zoom in on the picture or vehicle. You can set the range of your camera’s. They have night vision and so much more. I highly recommend Wyse Camera’s and I’ve tried multiple different camera’s including Ring and Wyse is much better and more affordable.

after going through 2 of Reolinks outdoor cameras, and it failing to stay connected, reconnected, disconnected again and again, I gave this a try, and is was stunned at the ease of install, effortless connection to wifi, the pan and track feature is something to see in action. The night time real color feature is awesome. The price, ease of install, good app for phone, and able to install on PC using Bluestacks makes these cameras a must buy. Being wired for power, the camera never stops or shuts down since there isn’t a battery that limits viewing. Its been a week and I have those two running on a monitor 24/7. Totally worth it, reolink is a bust and a buggy device, but Wyze has the goods and proves it every time I look at the screen with that clear color picture.

Our family absolutely loves the WYZE Cam Pan v3! It’s like having a little robot keeping watch—it smoothly tracks motion and follows you around the room, which is both impressive and a bit fun to watch. The video quality is crystal clear, even in low light, and the two-way audio is exceptional—you can hear and be heard without any issues. Based on our experience, it’s perfect for indoor use, and gives us real peace of mind. Smart, reliable, and feature-packed—this camera is a win!

My husband is all about his electronics, so when he wanted to try the Wyze Cam that follows motion, I figured it would be just another tech toy. But wow—this little camera is actually amazing! The motion tracking is super smooth and surprisingly accurate. It pans and tilts automatically to follow movement across the room, which has been perfect for keeping an eye on our pets when we’re not home (or let’s be honest, checking which kid is sneaking snacks after bedtime 😆).The app is easy to use, setup took just a few minutes, and the video quality is crystal clear—even at night. I love that we can check in from our phones anytime, and the price point makes it feel like a total steal for the features you get.If you’ve got a tech-loving partner (or just want some peace of mind at home), this Wyze Cam is absolutely worth it. We’re already considering adding a second one!

I like the v4 regular camera better although the pan functionality it nice. The camera has a hard time scanning the QR code during set up – we needed to print it off. Then after that difficulty, the camera wouldn’t connect to the internet – it kept timing out. Wyze customer service was great. They took us through trouble shooting and when that didn’t work, they sent us a replacement which worked fine. Overall, Wyze cameras are good for the price and it’s great you can use an SD card vs having a subscription.

You get what you pay for which is a decent camera for the price. It helps that you can move it around and track objects. Decided to go with Eufy instead as that can save to local storage.

These cameras are a good deal for the price. I own two. Note that these require a “base unit” that interfaces with your WiFi router. The WYZE app is easy to use and setup takes only a few minutes. These cameras can be set up for four angles, and they “step” to the next preset shot every ten seconds. If a motion or detection event occurs, the camera will snap to the event and record before resuming the preset scan pattern. However, this can result in missed action, as it can upto 30 seconds for the camera to step to the event…which might be gone. All in all, for the price there is a lot of value here. My two devices plus an existing battery operated fixed cam have functioned flawlessly for over a year. Recommended.

These little cameras have improved since I got the first one a couple of years ago. This 2-pack is a great value. I have them mostly to watch our dog who we’re starting to leave out rather than crate when we’re out of the house. They’re very easy to hook up and the quality of the picture on my phone is good enough for me to get an idea of what she’s doing. The cameras move up, down and back and forth so that it can cover a whole room when you place it properly. You can use these to speak to them, but we don’t typically do that. They are also a nice thing to have for security and can be kept on motion-sensing mode so that you can detect movement in your house. The picture quality is amazing at night with absolutely no other light it gives you a clear picture. We have noticed only a very slight lag, which we can tell if we’re at the door and we can hear our dog barking and then hear it a second later on our app. Extremely valuable to have and a great deal. I would have no hesitation recommending this to someone.

Awesome video on it too. Recommend these to anyone, especially if you have pets, you can keep an eye on them during the day and see what they are up to

Great cameras that are easy to setup. They have great images quality, both day and night. I used one of the cameras as a baby monitor. It was great, as I was able to share only the one camera with family (parents, grandparents, and aunt). Have the parents ease of mind while they were out. They could hear the baby and talk to the baby. Only down fall I’ve had, is 1 of the 4 that I’ve purchased will not stay connected. I wasn’t sure if it was the distance from network and didn’t get a chance to troubleshoot it until after the return date. But I would still highly recommend. Just get it connected right away and make sure it works.

This camera works amazing almost always, the video quality is typically very smooth but occasionally they will disconnect especially the one for the front yard for some reason even though it’s closer to the internet, however the motion camera in the backyard is always really clear and never lags or gets disconnected so I’m thinking it’s just interference with something and I need to change locations. Other they a few minor issues this is an amazing camera, I bought 3 cameras from wyze so far and they are definitely worth their value.

I’ve ordered two of these cameras and have been very happy with them. They’re super easy to set up and use, and I love the 360° pan, tilt, and zoom features. Despite some reviews mentioning connection issues, I haven’t found the live view connection to be terribly challenging at all. The motion tracking is responsive, the night vision is clear, and the app works well. A solid choice for indoor or outdoor security, and great for keeping an eye on pets too!

Had to upgrade since we broke our old wyze camera, I actually have one of these already and think it’s a huge improvement from the old models that were just 1 solid piece.Since the left-right and up-down are on two different axises, you’re able to see a solid amount more degrees/angles of view.

I use this for baby monitoring and it is the best. It monitors and notifies you when there is sound for no subscription. This is unlike any of the other wifi security cams/baby monitors out there. There is very minimal lag when viewing through your phone and clarity is great, even with the IR night vision. The color night vision works surprisingly well, but you do need a little bit of light for it to work. You have the option to turn off the little lights on the camera so that it’s not noticeable at night when the camera is on. The pan/tilt range is great as well. The only only downside I would say is that you can’t completely tilt the camera all the way down because the edges of the lower cube (box) below the camera cube get in the way, but if you can angle whatever it’s mounted on you can mitigate that.

Its a great camera!! I came to know of this camera through a relative of mine. He lives in Florida and his dad (my Uncle) lives in Jamaica so he bought one and installed it there. After he shared the accessibility with me, i could also watch through the app. I was amazed at the clarity and the motion tracking. The sound is very crisp as well too. This camera is very top notch. It gives a very state of the art security feeling. I bought one for my residence a few days ago. It is very easy to install and there is no assembly required on the cam part. Two screws come with the bracket. You can install as easy as 10 minutes if you have a good location and the right tools. The only issue i have with this product is instructions on how to use it but that might be my fault. I subscribed for the Cam PLUS so the cam could record. Once i purchased it, the cam wasnt recording. I contacted Wyze, they said they couldnt do anything so they suggested i contact Apple. Apple couldnt fix it either which was frustrating. So i had to search forums to see if anyone else had the issue. So if anyone is reading this and you’re having trouble getting your subscription for your cam to work, purchase the subscription through the WYZE website/portal. Once i went on their site and purchased the subscription, everything went smoothly. The only thing i had to was tweak what I needed the cam to do. It wasnt doing the ‘Track Motion’ once i had it up and running so i had to also google where to find that option. On the app, there is a row of options for you to use to tweak the camera. I didnt know I could scroll to find other options and that is where i found the ‘Track Motion’ option. Usually if there are more options that dont fit on a screen, there would be an arrow or something indicating that you can scroll. So in my opinion the app isnt too user friendly. Maybe I’m old and just didnt have any patience. Other than that, the camera is superb. You cant beat $20 for a years subscription for recording. I have a 2nd one i need to install. For some of you considering it, please look up alternative mounting brackets for your needs. I just recently saw that they have ones that can extend out from the wall if you need that or ones with a covering for your cam. Also you may need longer power cords. This camera does NOT run on batteries. ONLY a power cord. So keep that in mind if you want to have a camera away from your house. I bought a 20 foot cord but I think they also offer 30 footers. I plan on getting the doorbell soon so i can have all my security equipment on the same app. I have BLINK now so i dont want to have to switch back and forth. I highly recommend this camera.

Super duper easy set up! Took like 2 min a camera plus another 2 min of drilling it into the wall. It is a couple seconds delayed. And you talking through it for your kids is a second delayed. But overall great product! We now have them in every room in the whole house besides the bathrooms so we can easily see what the kids/teens are doing and ensure they are safe while on date nights and such.If you are a foster or adoptive parent I 100% guarantee they are worth the money! With the trauma behaviors and lying it’s nice having evidence of what’s going on so you can truly deal with the real issues and not what the kids are saying.Final word is a con: they don’t spin all the way around. It’s more like 240 then it is 360 and if younhave the cord tight the camera may get stuck on it. They were easy fixes but just something to keep in mind. Also moms: take off track mode and instead Position it so you can see the whole room! That way it picks up more than 1 kid at the same time!

I’ve been a fan of WYZE security cameras for a few years now. I had several of the older WYZE PAN CAMS all around my house. They serviced me for several years but over time the cameras did eventually wear out. I decided to buy these as an upgrade and WOW, are we happy with them. The night vision is exceptional and far better and clearer than the older models. The speed that the cameras move is also very accurate and fast. The continuous recording function also came with many new surprises. You have the ability to search many cameras at once and view all of the past recordings at the same time – a function that wasn’t available with the older cameras. Next is the cost of the cameras which is considerably low considering that similar cameras can cost up to three times the amount. Next is the quality – my cameras are outside 24 hours everyday. They have survived rain, wind, cold and have never malfunctioned. With the older cameras the pan tilt function became very slow during cold winter days. With these cameras the temperature can go very low, 3-4 degrees Fahrenheit, and still function as quickly as they would on a spring day. I highly recommend these security cameras for the DIY’s.

A great value for a great camera. The setup which requires you to scan a QR code off your phone, is a pain. I own multiple WYZE cameras but never had issues scanning the QR code. After 30+ minutes (not exaggerating) it finally read the code. What I particularly like about this model is the color night vision. I thought it was probably just a gimmick, but it really works!I highly encourage anyone who buys this to get a microSD card. Otherwise you need a paid subscription to use their cloud storage. I’m looking forward to playing with their API to see what’s possible to code on my own. So far, it’s definitely a product well worth the money.

I absolutely LOVE this little camera. I am a 70 year old woman and this was so very easy for me to install! I put it on my back porch to monitor the cats and other visiting critters that come thru my yard. It also makes me feel a lot safer to know what is coming thru my yard. My husband was so impressed with it that we dropped out of the home security system that we had and installed their cameras all around our home. Now we can monitor all our property easilly and are saving a TON of $$$. I’ve had the 1st little camera for a year now and we installed the rest of the cameras (9 more!) 4 months ago (when our contract was up with ADT). We did get the monitoring package that was $99 for one year. STILL so much cheaper than what we were paying. You won’t get them calling the fire/ambulance/police ability, but we didn’t feel we needed that since we are always home now and in a nice neighborhood. These would be great also for inside to monitor babies or invalids.

I have a lot of wyze cameras and love what they do in this space. I bought this camera to replace my Wyze pan camera and it is super smooth and came with a mount in the box, which was a great bonus I wasn’t expecting. I’m a big fan of these Wyze cameras. They require constant power which will no doubt be a bummer for some, but I’d rather have my cameras on constant power so I don’t have to run around and change/charge batteries all the time. I highly recommend all the cameras that Wyze makes.

Great camera and picture quality for its price point. That being said, you will grow weary of the constant prompts to upgrade to one of their subscription services and constant upgrade offers. You HAVE to pay extra if you want any sort of cloud recording (ie for it to show a video recording of the motion it detected rather than just a screen grab), facial recognition, and other features I personally do not need. I am not against a subscription service in general (there are those who might find it useful) but there is no need to pester non-subscribers constantly with offers to the service. Just let me use the camera for what I bought it for!

AMAZING! I purchased FOUR (4) of these for the price of what some charge for one doorbell camera. Incredible price and even more amazing quality! It was a snap for me to hook up all 4 cams, running the power cord out the window, and with the FLAT cord, it was no problem completely closing and locking each window without any gap. The cameras will pan, at your custom settings, or can be set to stationary spots – all from the ease of your smart phone. Changing from static to pan is a breeze, and I change it a few times a day. The weather resistant feature means no worries about the elements. Having said all of that, I have not even began touching on the features. It can send you notifications instantly if a person, automobile, movement, or what you choose appears in the image. I set mine for cars and people in the front and people only, in the back. It can recognize faces, etc. I enjoy it not so much for security but at just seeing outside and around the house at day or night. It is pleasant and relaxing without going outside at all hours. It offers a optional add on for storing in the cloud at a ridiculously low price, or you can use an SD card in it instead. Personally, I grabbed the Cloud service and am totally happy. This is an amazing deal, and the quality and technology at this price is unbelievable. I highly recommend.

I now own half a dozen Wyze cameras, and they all work great. My first one from 2021 is still running perfectly fine despite it being exposed in direct sunlight and outside nearly the whole time. I was never a fan of the other security cam options out there, but this is the one I always recommend to friends and family. Super affordable, and the app is great with steady updates improving on the next.

This camera is awesome! We have the doorbell camera from WYZE as well and the app is so simple. Set up was so easy and the battery lasts a really long time. The picture and sound quality are surprisingly amazing! Crystal clear and the sound I can hear my kids playing the backyard while this is up front by the garage. The night vision is also pretty clear! What I like most is you don’t have to pay monthly to use it. If you want video taken while movement is happening you have to and it’s only 20 a month. But it takes pictures of movement for free. This is probably one of the best purchases I’ve made considering we have had trouble in the past with our neighbors. There is no lag at all. I will say sometimes for some reason the camera will turn off and I’m not sure why it does that but I just have to go in the app and turn it back on. And very occasionally it will have trouble connecting to the app but that’s to be expected with any type of electronics. Other than that it’s a great purchase! It also has a siren and a light you can turn on to see better!

La imagen es buena, la capacidad es buena, pero todo lo extra lo cobran, la detección de movimiento y para poder ver los eventos debes pagar suscripción, a diferencia de otras marcas

After researching various security cameras, I decided on the WYZE Cam Pan v3, and it has exceeded my expectations. The camera’s 360° horizontal pan and 180° vertical tilt provide complete coverage of our living spaces. Whether monitoring the front porch or keeping an eye on the backyard, the WYZE Cam Pan v3 ensures no blind spots. Its compact design allows for discreet placement, both indoors and outdoors, thanks to its IP65 weather resistance .The 1080p Full HD resolution delivers clear and detailed footage during the day. At night, the color night vision feature provides impressive visibility, allowing me to monitor our property even in low-light conditions. The motion tracking capability is particularly useful, as it follows movement across the room, ensuring continuous monitoring of any activity. Integration with Alexa and Google Assistant allows for seamless voice control, adding convenience to our daily routine .Setting up the camera was straightforward, and the WYZE app offers an intuitive interface for live streaming, adjusting settings, and reviewing recorded footage. The ability to set custom detection zones helps minimize false alerts, focusing only on areas of interest .The WYZE Cam Pan v3 has become an integral part of our home security setup. Its comprehensive coverage, high-quality video, and smart features provide peace of mind, knowing that our family and property are well-protected.

This is my first home camera, so maybe there’s a learning curve. That said, we tried multiple times to get the live stream working and couldn’t. We bought micro SD cards after reading that was the issue for others, but still couldn’t get it working. Eventually we found out that having the 5 on our only WiFi signal was the issue, and we could live stream as long as we weren’t connected to it on our phones, for reasons I still don’t understand. Now that we’ve got it set up, we do like it and find these useful, and enjoy watching birds, our dogs, etc with them. I’m fairly certain these have more features than the typical ring cameras do, also.

As my Arlo cameras die off, I am replacing them with Wyze Cameras so I have one, stable, security system. The cost and service alone are amazing. Super easy to install, you get 360 degrees of high quality video. I can see every angle. The night vision is amazing. It follows subjects it detects so I can see them from Mailbox to front door.If you need a battery operated camera, this is not completely wireless. It has no battery. Otherwise, it is perfect.

I’ve purchased a few of these cameras. A couple of them seem to be giving me problems. I have an SD card installed but the camera is not recording at all. I’ve tried uninstalling it, resetting it and nothing so I really do t know what’s wrong. Other than that the quality of the camera is good. Nice and solid, etc… picture quality is good. Zooms in well. Decent camera for the price.

Overall good system, really like all of the options. Only issue is after having them for about two months, two of my cameras now are “Offline” and despite troubleshooting, we cannot get them to power back on

The app is not friendly to use for these . Camera’s only worked about 6 months and both are out even now. The doorbell is great though. I really loved these when they worked but sad they didn’t even make it a year.

Thieve cameras are easy to install and are incredible as they track the subject that it is recording. I highly recommend these cameras as they are truly incredible. The clarity is phenomenal and crystal clear.
